There is a closer ACE location to us, but this was on the way, so we decided to drop by. I needed to get paint primer for the bathroom, and ended up getting Kilz Kitchen & Bath Interior Primer ($36.99 gallon). The hubs had actually gone online to see if they had primer before coming here, so we knew they would would have it. He actually needed to grab some plumbing stuff. What it was, I'm not too sure, but he ended up empty handed, so maybe they didn't have what he was looking for? This location is in a plaza, so plenty of parking. Tho we did have some issues getting out of the lot as a car just decided to stop in the middle of the path and block our way. We honked a few times and they just sat there. I finally got out of the car to tell them to move. They then went into a parking spot before I got to the car. Why they had to sit in the middle of the road, I have no idea. It was very annoying. The younger guy stocking the shelves helped me get the faucet down and he was very nice as well. Another man was helpful ringing me up but needed Ann the register wizard to finalize my transaction. Unfortunately, he sent me a picture of the wrong thing which confused the person on the floor helping me out. Luckily, he told me the capacity of the wetvac and I was able to figure out what bag to buy. Ended up with the Craftsman 1 in. L X 10 in. W Wet/Dry Vac Filter Bag 5-8 gal 3 pc ($18.99). Even an employee at the store helped me open the package as I made an extra key. Everything would have been fine I thought, I double-checked. Unfortunately, the lock didn't fit my door, so I brought the item back an HOUR later. I was told NO! I've tried to explain in multiple ways, nice at first, not as nice after a passive aggressive supervisor/manager was condescending and borderline rude to mean taking back their agreement. I didn't even unseal the bag with screws or open the manual. Obviously, super tough plastic packaging was somewhat destroyed. It's not meant to be reused! Anyway, the only solution now, is that I spend $150 on gas and 1-2 days to go and "possibly" return a $35 purchase after spending time with the manager on the phone (waisting even more of my time). It is embarrassing for a building business to treat customers this way! Go to DIY or to Home Depot instead! I thought the place next to my house would be more convenient, I was totally wrong. The popularity is ever growing and people from California on a weekend getaway seem to be funding it. More stores and construction - you wouldn't recognize this whole area if you last came 15 years ago. Target seems to be an obsession for some people. I hear about 'those Target runs' I really don't know what that means but usually stay at home moms obsess with this place and go often. I don't have that same zest and enthusiasm for Target but everybody has something that tickles their feather. Or is it tickle your fancy? I'm not sure. She offered to put it on hold for me until I came in :) Once I came in, she offered to help replace it for me and gave me some tips about the strap placement as well in accordance to my boot position. I really appreciated that she proactively checked that it would work with my boots as well by asking what size I was. Last week my wife and I found out that our bed was broken.... I wish there was a good story, but…read morethere's not. Simply put, the cross supports were in the wrong spots and the plastic frame for our Sleepnumber bed had lost its integrity. What are we going to do. First, Sleepnumber was amazing, as they replaced the defective pieces at no charge and they shipped them to us for....wait for it....no charge. So, we had the replacement parts, now I sought out to ensure that this doesn't happen again. Heck, when you weigh what I do, you do need support. So, I decide more of the wood cross supports are needed. Meeks is the local purveyor of all things wood and the customer service there was incredible. You see, I'm a novice and I need help. I took the measurements, told the salesman what I needed, and they simply did the rest, and, mind you, this all took place on a Saturday morning, a morning I would suspect is a busy morning, filled with novices like me. Did I mention the custom cuts? As I mentioned, I showed up with the dimensions and they made sure that I left with the exact sizes that I needed. The yard guys took care of that. So, I leave happy, my wife and I piece together the new frame, and once again we slept in air supported bliss last night. Meeks had great customer service, and, in this era, it just seems so few really understand and make the effort to take care of the customer. Nice job Meeks.
