It is often very busy especially during summer months and so the prices tend to stay about the same. Staff is always friendly. When ever I've gone in there they go out of their way to help you and make sure that you feel like you're part of their family. They have a wonderful little deli in the store now and offer great baked goods some that you can't find at other stores.

She told me she had ordered some food from there and I wanted something different bc I was tired of KFC chicken, and I had a strong urge for some barbecue chicken and ribs, so my neighbor gave me the telephone number to Woody's and I called, talked to the Rep of the store and scheduled a time of 5:00 pm pick up. I followed my neighbor to Woody's bc I wasn't sure where they were located on Main Street being a new resident of Mecosta, Mi. I was surprised when I opened up the bag and started on the Rib dinner. The ribs just fell off the bone and the barbecue chicken wings were simply delightful and smoky. Yes, I definitely recommend this hidden gem to anyone who wants down home comfort food. So, shopping at the Big Rapids location and I'm pretty appalled actually. I came in to do some…read moreshopping for sugar free/carb free cake that I'm making for a friend of mine's daughter. You know, kids have it hard enough these days but when you add in ANY type of illness it just makes it that much worse! So I'm hoping to make a beautiful and tasty cake for this young lady turning 13, whose friends regularly eat sugar filled cake. Of course Meijer doesn't sell these cakes and I'm not a professional baker but if I were I would certainly try to accommodate my customers if I didn't carry something they needed. Long story semi short... you can't SELL a cake board and plastic cover to a customer who is making something you don't? Really? First off way to fail at customer service! Second, I HATE Walmart but at least I can buy a plastic/cardboard cake plate from them!! Update: Meijer contacted me and apologized for this encounter. They stated normally they would not sell their supplies but in certain cases a team lead should be consulted. He stated in this case they would have sold me one cake board and dome. I really appreciate that they did this and they also stated they would bring this up with the staff working that day to clarify. In either case, I still made this girls cake and it turned out great!

The minute you walk in you're going to be hungry, even if you just ate. The house smoked and cured meats can literally be smelled in the parking lot. DGS has everything from local North Michigan specialities to fresh produce and an array of MI butchery products. The star of the show however is all their house made meats... Sausages, brats, jerky, etc., DSG has it all. Plus the staff is super friendly and helpful... Some of the friendliest people we've met in a while. When we're in the Cadillac area again, we will no doubt make a point to get back to DGS to stock up... Two thumbs up.

They also have ice cream and hot food deli. There is a beer cave and a beer aisle, plus wine. Other than fresh produce, this store has pretty much everything. If you're camping here or passing through, come here. Our firewood bundles were huge, the IPA was juicy, and the staff were friendly. Here you find a nondescript name, and an awesome oasis.

I went to the deli and Chose a rotisserie chicken and they had a special on the rangoons ... I made a great choice! This rotisserie chicken is the one marked savory, honey... it is amazingly savory and juicy taboot! I didn't eat most of the chicken, I gave the breast part to my dog... It was so juicy I was eating it as I was giving it to her...I tried the Rangoon's and they were so delicious cold I went in and bought more. I'm going to have them for dinner tonight. I just want to add that the young guy working in the deli was amazingly helpful.
