Given that it's a farm stand and not the location of an actual farm, we were impressed with the selection. During our last visit, they had everything from fresh flowers and cocktail mixers to baked goods and produce. We've tried their cookies, mac and cheese, and produce, and it's never disappointed. Seriously, their peanut butter cookies are to die for the perfect level of sweetness. Also, their onion relish has become a staple in our house.

Now being late July it would be too late to plant as there is not too much warm days left if there was any really to begin with. This place is a must stop to buy your fruit and vegetables. #LocalAdventureChallenge: I like the Portland Farmers' Markets a lot, but... there's…read moresooooooooooooooo much going on there. I always feel like I need to make a few laps around the whole thing just to figure out who has what and at what price. I actually feel like the older I get the less choices I need, and that's why I like the Cumberland Farmers' Market. It's small. (Actually, Joanna R said it best, "It's a Goldilocks market. Not too big, not too small, but just right.") On Saturdays, it's hosted in the back half of the town hall's parking lot on Tuttle Rd, and there are maybe a dozen or so vendors selling the essentials. It can get busy VERY quickly (i.e. they're open from 10a to 1p; expect it to be crowded by 10:05am). But customers turnover fairly quickly so parking shouldn't be as big of an issue as it may initially seem (because people come here to actually shop and not just come here to be seen shopping; does that make sense?). I don't usually go to farmers' markets with a specific shopping list; I know everything is local and seasonal and can change in a moment's notice because of weather affecting crops. I just let myself be surprised at what goodies are available then in the moment!

They do so in a proud and humble manner. Very down to earth people here that work very hard to bring you the amazing selection. Some of my favorites are SPUN, Tir na nOg Farm, Cranberry Rock and Winslow Farm. I find the prices to be competitive and where it might be a little more expensive than a bigger shopping venue, I remember that this is going directly back to the local economy. The few times I have gone, there has been music, the kids seems to enjoy it as with some adults. It add to the nice background, it's not too loud or distracting. I LOVE the location. Conveniently located with plenty of parking. And because the market isn't too big, people aren't there for very long, so the parking spaces free up fast. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend visiting this location at least once.

I often get a few entrees for work. The only negative is I wish they'd put more veggies and less rice in the platters, especially the grilled ones. Great macaroni salad!! The Thanksgiving sandwich is great, as well, the lobster roll. The people are all so friendly, helpful. The store is always clean and very well stocked. I recommend this place to everyone. If you can't find something that suits your taste, that's a tough one.

Easy parking nearby - even some near EV Car chargers…read more The offerings were great from baked goods, to fresh fruits and veggies and meat and eggs and a few Italian and Mediterranean food options. Every vendor we walked by, said hello and seemed warm and friendly. The area was set up near the main walkway, which was nice - very tidy and organized. There were a lot of different patrons, young and old and everyone seemed so happy and engaged with the vendors. I can't believe it's taken me YEARS to finally visit. I will definitely return, if I can get out of work in time. That's the only downside, they are only set up until 6pm on Thursdays.
