I was so glad I didn't have to drive far. My husband and I gathered up our laundry and drove to Cleaning World. We decided to use the $5.00 a load washer because we always have a lot of laundry. They had smaller washers and washers that were one and two sizes bigger than the ones we used. The really large washers are all the way in the back and around the corner to the right. You'll see dryers all along the back wall, in front of you, as you head towards the back. Our laundry was done in less than an hour and our clothes were clean. We left to dry our laundry at home instead. The next time my husband wanted to try their drop off laundry service. Wow! This is going to sound funny but our clothes looked better than they did when we bought them new at the store! I had some old lazy around the house clothes mixed in and it just felt like a waste of cleaning for such grubby items that I won't go out in public wearing. Our clothes were clean, they smelled great, felt great, and were all folded nicely in a plastic see through bag with a laundry tag on it. The price was reasonable for the fantastic job done on our clothes. Next time i'll make sure none of my old grunge house clothes are mixed in. The third time I went there I thought I'd try the very large washing machine hidden around the corner in the back. I asked a girl who was folding items from the dryer if the large $10.00 washer would hold all my three laundry baskets of clothes and towels. She said it'd hold it all no problem. So I thanked her and started to fill the washer. I put two laundry baskets in and for some reason it didn't look like I could put any more. I asked the girl if she had a minute to sell me some tokens for the two large machines. She stopped what she was doing and helped me. The washers were done quick. I went to the post office and Walgreens while they were washing and when i got back both washers were done. I was unloading the washers when a guy said to me, "You under filled the machine. It can hold way more than you put in." I said really? It looked like it was too full to put any more in. I thanked him for letting me know and next time i'll put more laundry in. I carried a basket out to the car and he grabbed the others for me. I thanked him again. I think I've talked to four or five of the employees that work there and they've all been really nice, friendly, helpful and informative. I've never had any problems using their facility (other than under filling a washer and wasting their talent on grunge clothes) :D The laundromat is also clean every time I've gone there. I'd recommend them to family and friends. Actually I have recommended them to some friends from out of town already.

Thats where the plusses end. All the funny signs are gone. -First, the place is filthy, especially the floor. Which means if you have the misfortune of dropping your wet laundry on the floor, God knows what gross thing you will be picking up. Also, there was an out of order sign in the FILTHY bathroom aaying indicating a sewer problem. NOT reassuring in a place that depends of functioning drains for their business. - second, when I took my clothes out of the washer, there was other people's head and body (likely pubes, WTF!!!!) stuck to my clothes - strike three, and this is the part that nailed the coffin shut for me- my clothes came out of the dryer smelling worse than when I put them in. Whomever had used the hot dryer that is intended for cotton items prior to me, put something that left a distinct chemical smell. The smell is REALLY BAD. Enough that I now have a headache from riding in the car home with them. I'm definitely going to have to rewash my stuff, and waste more money ANOTHER day off. The laundry attendant was watching TV the entire time we were here. She clearly isn't monitoring the machines for cleanliness. Whatever it was that was in the dryer left stains on some of my stuff, most noticeably my sheets. I want my money back. @#$%&!!!

I think the Korean lady that runs the place has OCD. 2ND, the staff are helpful and attentive. They're absolutely paying attention to what's going on, so no shenanigans or hobos here. 3rd, they've got more large (50 lb) washers here than any place in town (5 bucks.) I used to prefer Don Dees 1. because they have the best and cheapest dryers in town. R&S is 25 cents for 5 mins regular dryer/25 cents for 2 mins large dryer. DD is 25 cents for 6 mins regardless of dryer size AND they work better. 2. DD 5 different washer sizes, R&S only has 2. All in all, R&S has a lot going for it and I'm glad to know I have options when Don Dees is full or closed. Oh yeah, R&S is open til 10pm!

Now, if you have a wedding or prom dress with crystals, they recommend you take certain items to their parent location on Fireweed Lane. If you've got a tough stain on a shirt I recommend going there too. They don't take risky items here. They're great for basics and UGG's. Also I like that they're up front about suede like boots and jackets. They recommend you take those items to Alaska Leather off Minnesota & Spenard.
