It offers some of the city's larger shops, hosting the likes of Debenhams, Primark, New Look and Topshop. Half of the mall is really bright and airy as there are windows running down the entire wall. It kinda reminded me of an airport (but nicer, of course). There is parking but we didn't use it. From what I've heard it is pretty expensive. We used Gellatly Street which was £8 for 24 hours. Considering the Overgate charges something similar to this for 5 hours and closes overnight, it looks like we made the right call to go somewhere else. The public toilets in the mall are clean and well serviced so we're all good there. I would definitely recommend coming here instead of the Wellgate - the Wellgate is a horrible, dark dungeon.

It may be because it is a brand new shopping centre and therefore lacks some of what makes the Wellgate so good but whatever it is there is just something missing from the whole experience of shopping here. That said it does have some wonderful shops such as Sports world, Gap and baby Gap, The Gadget shop, Debenhams and the amazing Lush shop which sells all the wild and wacky soaps and lotions and potions you could imagine. You can smell the wondeful scents coming from the Lush store throughout the building and they are rivalled only by the aroma from the Starbucks coffee shop on the same floor. If you are in Dundee then you must visit here as well as the Wellgate, they both have something different to offer.

There are not masses of shops at this outlet centre, but I do like the Nike and Addidas shops as well as the Paper Mill and the Childrens designer clothes shop (sorry the name escapes me). For a long time I only used to make this a very short visit as the cafe was abismal however BB's now has a coffee shop and very nice it is too so we tend to head out here for coffee or lunch time and spend a wee while browsing around. The shops are a but different to Stirling itself however if I was really looking for an outlet park I would head to livingston.

Sterling mills Tillicoultry is a lovely little outlet village not far from Stirling itself. Lots of…read morelittle shops, however it seems to have been hit hard by the Livingston expansion and most probably that it isn't the easiest of places to find. The outlet shops that can be found here are Nike (which we have found to be better than the smaller Livingston store), Adidas (lots of bargains to be found at this store!), The Works, Zavvi, The Paper Mill and lots of mens stores including Lee and Wrangler. We have also registered online for a card which gives you money off in a lot of the stores there. Parking is very good, with disabled and child spaces available. There is also a little coffee shop, which we feel is overpriced, most probably as it's the only one there and has a monopoly over the place! Most months of the year they have a little market where you can buy locally produced bread and cakes, and other food products. You could find something yummy to eat on the slightly long drive home. If you are into sports clothing, even walking clothing then Sterling Mills is well worth a visit.

You'll also find a good selection of coffee shops and restaurants, sure to keep you fueled up through your shopping trip. There are some really great bargains on offer - whether you're looking for a Versace Dress for £300 or an M&S dress for £3. Although some Designer Outlet shopping centres are open air - you can rest assure that this one is securely inside. Which is very good, seeing as it's in Scotland and all! If you're planning a Christmas shopping trip, or are just feeling a little indulgent, then I thoroughly recommend a trip to Livingston Designer Outlet. There's a huge carpark which is free - so you can shop for hours without having to worry about when your ticket runs out. And believe me, you will shop for hours.

If you live in Edinburgh, you're far better not bothering to make the trip.

Although whenever I've visited the car park has been very quiet also meaning the shops are quiet too I hate it when it's busy! There are six shops in the retail park, Acorn Pet Centre, Argos Extra, Au Natural, Dreams, Homebase and Peacocks giving a good selection of premises to visit. There is a small amount of cover along the pedestrian walkway to protect visitors from the elements, although it's more of a nudge in the direction of rain cover than actual real cover.

Homebase which is quite a good size selling diy and plants etc. Halfords selling car parts etc. Argos a catalogue shop and last but not least the acorn pet shops which only had a couple of rabits in and some hamsters, fish and birds. The only thing about this retail park is that it is quite high up so it can be quite cold and the weather can change quickly.

I had a rental car and was charged for a parking fine because I had parked there more than two hours apparently. I didn't know there was a limit and because it was a rental car, they added on their own charge. I know that private parking fines are not enforceable in Scotland but my beef was really with the rental company. Suffice to say that this would put me off going there again though.

Clearly I'm not hard to impress. In all honesty though, it's hugely convenient for the type of shopping I do. This is an upmarket shopping centre which has more expensive high street shops like Reiss, Ted Baker, Vivienne Westwood and Cos (which I'm still yet to check out!). The centre is certainly decorated to match the crowd it's looking to attract - glitzy, glam and always clean and tidy. I like the size of the centre as well - it's very dinky but still has lots of shops and is easy to navigate. There's also a host of restaurants, bars and cafés but I'll be honest - I've not visited many of them. I ate at Barca probably 4 years ago and also one of the places on the bottom floor but I think that's changed hands. One down side is that if you are dining at a restaurant on the lower level, parents will tend to let their kids run riot in the centre circle which can be a bit of a mood-killer. Princes Square doesn't have a car park due to its location but it is really close to train and subway. If you do really fancy driving, probably St Enoch or Mitchell Street are the closest car parks.

Fort Kinnaird is a large retail park that requires a lot of walking to get around. Great if you…read moreknow what you need, much less fun just for browsing. I don't get the layout, why not just build a mall where everything is undercover? And why is everything spaced all over the place? I think they want us to walk more. Example, toystore next to a H&M but more clothing stores on the other end of the retail park. Bit of a mess, doesn't make sense and does no make for a fun afternoon of shopping. Parking is ridiculous too and people have no patience. If you can head to the high street or buy online I'd reccommend that instead.
