My home needed windows and siding replaced along with structural improvements and water damage repairs. Mr. Margiano was very easy to work with. He showed up for appointments, responded to all communications promptly and when I could not get others to follow up or even respond with a proposal, he showed up with his best foot forward. He came back with recommendations for quality products and when questioned, was able to explain his reasoning. He guided me on style, but let me decide and make changes. He got the work done to my satisfaction, on schedule and within budget. His experience and professional opinions informed me on what to expect and where the potential problems might be. There were no "surprises." When his team showed up, he made sure to come every day as well and 'proof' the work. Most important, I did not have to micromanage his team or explain to them once again, what I asked for, contracted and expected. The prices we agreed on are the prices I paid. During the final walk around, there were a few little details we identified together and he sent someone back promptly to complete the adjustments without excuses or complaints. You can have confidence in his honesty and integrity, quality of work and commitment to your satisfaction.

His recommendation about where to place the moulding was better than our idea, and the crew was able to skillfully work around the quirks of a 170-year old house (sloping ceilings, walls, and drywall on top of plaster) to install the material with a level of skill that only comes with years of experience. Beyond the technical skills, they are nice guys working hard to help people get stuff done. I would definitely hire them again, and plan to do so this fall. It was very nice to have a positive, low-drama, no-surprises home project.

Scott stated the current floors were white oak while the other bidder stated the floors were red oak. To alleviate our concerns Scott came out to the house, sanded a large square of the floor. He brought several samples of unfinished red and white oak boards. Together we determined the flooring is white oak. The house had 3 different tones of white oak floor. In addition, we had the tile floors in the foyer and kitchen removed and new white oak flooring installed. Our goal was to get all of the floors to a similar tone. This required additional sanding to achieve. Scott finished the floors with 3 coats of Bona HD High Traffic Matte clear coat. It is impossible to determine where the new floors meet the old.
