At the registers they make sure you know about any and all promotions they have going just in case you wanted to jump in on any. Did you know that Barnes & Noble has so many games and puzzles and other fun gadgets? I for one didn't as I walked throughout the store I was blow away by see all this new stuff to me. In addition to providing funding for library programs and materials, they serve the community by promoting literacy, providing incredibly inexpensive materials for teachers, parents, and homeschoolers. They provide free reading materials to the military, our jails, senior residences and other organizations in our community. They assist those dealing with downsizing and handling estates for relatives in finding ways for personal libraries to have new use, rather than ending up in the landfill.
