The decor was unique, the space was charming, and the service was friendly and attentive, both of which seem novel in Paris. Plus, it is in a great and interesting neighborhood! A must stop!!

Happened upon this little gem exploring Montmartre!…read more Super cute interior and welcoming staff greeted me as soon as I opened the door. The place was incredibly busy, and I was offered a seat at the bar. Water was served immediately, and handed a delightfully single page organized menu! Service was very attentive. I ordered: Aperol Spritz- which is the best one I have ever had! Edamame-as a starter. Veggie Ramen And mochi for dessert. The Ramen came out first which I was puzzled by, asking if I had ordered the edamame and a female waitress said yes it was on its way. She handed me an oversized bib to wear while eating my Ramen. It was absolutely adorable with fun graphic on the front. There were 3 different sauces you can add to heighten the spice of the ramen. And oh my heavens it was so good! Completely fresh ingredients.. a mountainous amount of veggies (no skimping here!) and all for 10€! Impressive! I couldn't finish it all, with the edamame arriving shortly after... but still managed to order dessert. Two mango + 1 cacao mochi. So darn good. I left incredibly happy, and full, and importantly with a smile on my face. Both the waitress and bartender/manager Thomas thanked me for coming in all with smiles! I will definitely be returning my next trip to Paris! I want to try the fish bao! And other cocktails that looked enticing!

Let's talk about the neighborhood and surroundings first. Here, you are in the heart of a real Chinatown - surrounded by the largest wholesale import/export center in Europe! The other diners in this restaurant are for the most part all Chinese. You might feel a little out of place, but don't. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. Speaking of the staff, their French is very basic. But you definitely can manage to make yourself understood without a problem. This place is nothing fancy - it's basically a "cantine". You come here to eat, not to impress. The food here is awesome! Authentic Chinese food - not the kind of stuff you find At Chinese takeout (traiteurs) in Paris which have been modified to fit a French public. If it's cold out, Grab a delicious and filling soup for around 5€. They also have a variety of meats and veggies and such they can put together for you with rice (either on a plate to be consumed at the restaurant, or in a lunch box to go.) Speaking of takeout, they do also deliver you're in the area. If you're interested in a lunch box, I suggest ordering early because sometimes they might run out of certain foods (considering that a good chunk of the neighborhood ends up getting their lunch here). When you eat here, you really get the impression you're in China which is the cool part. One time, I saw two men actually almost fight each other (despite the fact that they were friends and had dined together) because each wanted to invite the other and pay for the other. (I'm exaggerating a little, it obviously wasn't a real fight, but each was trying to shove the other's money away and be the first to pay. So cute. When will French and Americans pick up on that trend? Haha.)
