TL;DR: I am 100% satisfied with the results delivered by King Tree Service and absolutely recommend them. I had King Tree Service remove a huge dead Cottonwood tree and I could not be happier with their work. The crew - Bryce, Warren & Darrien - arrived on time, went over the basic process, worked around my inconveniently laid out backyard without complaint and left the area cleaner than they found it. The dead branches were hanging over the fence into my neighbors yard and he said they did a great job cleaning up on his side of the fence as well. The tree had grown completely against the fence and a few of the slats broke during the process. Those were replaced before they even finished the clean up. I'm not sure the damage could have been avoided considering the tree and the fence were basically married. I also wanted the stump cut to 10 feet, plus some specific branches saved and put aside. They did exactly what asked and didn't roll their eyes (at least not out loud ) Thank you for doing a great job and making the entire experience easy for me! read more

Very impressed by the dedication and honesty. The crew were some of the hardest working men I have ever met.

Five or six of my neighbors have used King Tree, so when I needed a tree removed, I went with this company. From the estimate visit to interacting with the front office, to working with the crew, the company is courteous, explains everything well, and does a great job. read more

Fast, excellent service. They took down two dead aspens from our yard and trimmed back a neighbor's overhanging tree. Very professional! They even cleaned up after themselves. read more

Had a huge Blue Spruce in my mom's front yard that needed to be removed before the next windstorm. Got a quote that was super reasonable, hate to say it but I thought it would cost twice as much. Gave me a call told me they would be able to get me in on Tuesday. They showed up on time, they got right to work and did a fabulous job. They cleaned up all of the mess and my mom is so happy . I highly recommend King Tree Service !!! read more

I have used King Tree Service for all of my tree trimming and removal needs for years and I absolutely love these guys! I've had two HUGE pine trees removed (due to beetle kill) by these guys and they have done some trimming on my giant maple tree. James and his people are very respectful, professional and personable, but that is just the tip of the iceberg! They do fantastic work at a great price and their cleanup is immaculate. They are always willing to answer any questions that I have and give advice for maintaining my existing trees. You can shop around if you want, but you will not find a better group of guys for whatever your trees need. I couldn't be happier! read more

King Tree Service is truly a great company! They showed up to bring down a tree that had been struck by lightning and completed the job quickly. The tree was very large and on the property line looking like it was going to fall on our neighbors house, they systematically removed branches and brought it down exactly where they said they could. The team was very friendly and all lived up to their motto " Honest, Freindly, and Hardworking" ! As a side note they are very safe workers! read more

********The TREE WHISPERS******** They are AWESOME SAUCE! From the front office ( (Sandy) on setting up the quote time and reminder call, to the person who came and gave the quote to the two young men men who came with the massive boom truck with a bucket. Everything went smoothly. Of course, they are backed up but so is all the other tree services in the Springs after the last wet snow storm. We were referred by our friends. We had one dead tree in the back yard and in the front - a box elder that was so overgrown and filled with aphids. Did that stop them? Nope . They kept on smiling and got everything done in less than 2 hours. Did I mentioned they take away all the limbs and even clean up the area and put it in a chipper? Yes they do! Call them and see what excellent service is all about. I even gave my realtor their name for her clients. Highly recommend. read more

I had a tree removed with the stump ground down and a tree trimmed of dead branches. When I requested a time to schedule a quote, the lady that called me was very friendly and said I would have someone come out at 11. At 1045, Ryan showed up and listened to what I wanted did a quote and said they were 2-3 weeks out. 2 weeks later I received a call on Friday saying they had me scheduled for Wednesday and they would show up between 8 and 9. At 815 my door bell rang and they were ready to start work. Super friendly and confirmed the work I wanted. By 1230 they had everything done, cleaned up everything and made it look like the tree that was removed was never there. Upon payment, I was expecting the price to be a little higher than the quote, but it was the same price. This family owned and locally operated business is definitely a place I would recommend. read more

King Tree Service just completed the best tree service we've ever had. Snow damaged several trees and every element from the initial quote , scheduling and actual trimming of our very damaged trees. The initial quote by the company owner was the lowest I received and the ratings were the best. Sebastian was the Lead person and his trimming/pruning will assure our trees will be healthy and beautiful. We could not have a better result and experience. I initially contacted 12 providers and King Tree Service will always be #1 for us and our referrals to friends and family. Thanks to King Tree Service. read more

I live in a mobile home park that shares a fence with King Tree Service. they terrorize us every single day with the noise from their lot. I believe they move dumpsters around, the noise and vibrations shake our houses. The real terror, is saved for us on the 4th of July. They set off the loudest, teeth shattering fireworks. Which is done not 20 feet from our houses. The noise is frightening right outside our windows, but the big scare for us is the fire danger. I have lived here for 17 years. King Tree Service has only been on the other side of our fence for 3 years. BEWARE OF KING TREE SERVICE!!! read more

I woke up to find King tree service vehicles and few in my backyard with no permission. They were working on my neighbors yard and decided that our yard would be good to store their vehicles and access the neighbors yard. They completely blocked the alleyway wi to their trucks and downed branches so emergency vehicles had no access and when I called them out about this stuff, they lied and said that the property owner had been in communication with them the whole time. I have screenshots of my conversation with the property owner and she absolutely had no prior warning or approval. This company is completely unprofessional. Don't give them your business. read more

So my mother used King Tree Service based on a recommendation from a landscaper. They did not complete the services paid for and the owner was argumentative with us and failed to complete the work. While they completed some of the work, they refused to come back and complete what was paid for. We would not recommend using them. read more

Due to character limit my full review could not be posted here. If you're curious go here: https://www.facebook.com/leah.vandeberkt/posts/10100123227743569 Bottom line: Five stars for the crew that was on site. They knew what they were doing, were on time, professional, and did an excellent job. One star (zero if I could) for James King himself and how he handled a miscommunication issue that occurred. He treated me and husband terribly and never apologized. (Even when it became clear the miscommunication that occurred was within his own company and not our fault in the slightest.) read more

This crew is amazing. They took down a huge elm tree that was very close to our house and the neighbors house. To watch them at work was amazing. They are thorough and clean the area very well. They tried to finish before storms hit but they still got wet and pounded by hail but they pushed through to complete the work. They are worth the money you will pay and you won't be sorry. Go ahead, give them a call. They are very reasonable. read more

We just had King Tree trim do a lot of fire mitigation. They definitely know what they are doing - very professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and had our trees looking like trees should look when an arborist does the trimming. read more

King tree service trimmed 2 large trees and cut down another this morning at our home. The crew arrived promptly and were set to work. They all did a fabulous job and they trimmed everything to perfection. They cleaned all the debris that fell into our yards. They paid attention to where our dog was located so she would not get hurt. They had us come outside to ask if we wanted anything done different before they left. The crew was happy and friendly. The owner came by about 1 hour after the crew left to be sure we were satisfied with the work performed. I would highly recommend this company for your tree cutting needs. The prices are very fair and they were a bit less than another bid we had gotten. I love supporting a local person who is also a veteran.Thank you so much. read more

Top-notch service all around! Of the three quotes I received for the removal of a huge maple in my front yard, James gave me the only one I thought was a fair price. Not only that, but he also offered to remove the large planter that surrounded the tree whereas the competitors would only cut the tree, then have to come back to grind the stump after I got someone else to remove the planter. His team was extremely friendly and efficient, working their butts off and cleaning up very well afterwards. I can't recommend King Tree Service enough! read more

We decided to go with this company after getting several estimates on a tree we needed to cut down. They gave us 3-4 weeks before could schedule. We were ok with that. Then the day before they called to say they had an opening. So we said sure. Said they would be out around 830am. At 10 had to call THEM asking where they were. Advised had issues with the truck. Which I get, but why did WE have to follow up? Said they would be out at noon. 1150 comes around and they call and say still having issues with the equipment. Again, fine things happen. Advised would call Friday to reschedule. Well today is Saturday and never heard anything. It would have been nice for them to inform us they didn't want to do the work instead of stringing us along, when we could have went with another company . read more

Work was performed in professional workman like manner according to industry standards with a genuine personal touch. Grounds that were not in the scope of work were left in better condition in which they were found. King Tree Service is on task and we are so glad we choose this company to assist us with our tree needs. Next project will be the front yard. We put our full trust in this business. Exceptional customer service! They were efficient and did a great job. Highly recommend! We had just bought our home and needed 7 huge cottonwoods taken down before they fell on our new home. He came out quickly, priced his services more than reasonably and took care to complete the work even though snow hinder progress a couple of times. They knew exactly what they were doing and they were very professional (even if James had to watch a YouTube video the night before to enhance his techniques....ha ha...just kidding James). James King tree service has a great crew. Our HOA in Monument, sent us a letter that we had beetles & a short deadline to resolve it. Tree guys aren't like most service people, everyone knows a plumber or electrician but where do you find a tree guys except at random online. Well I was lucky to meet James when he came into my restaurant for my wings a few times. He was such a pleasant & respectable man that I had to call his business right away. His crew not only arrived right on time, they were done in 2 hours with removing 2 trees. Everything was raked & swept and my driveway was cleaner than before they got here. They also trimmed a few low tree branches at the edge of my driveway that blocked our view to oncoming traffic, to make sure I would be safe. I recommend King's Tree Service to anyone. Thanks again guys. read more

The recent hurricane-force winds blew two of our neighbor's 40-foot+ trees through our fence and on top of our house, putting a hole in our roof. We couldn't get the hole covered until the trees were removed! James and his crew came out that same day, and worked for 3+ hours to remove the giant pine trees off of our house. James himself even came back later that evening to check and make sure the work was done to his satisfaction, the site was properly cleaned up, and to fill me in on what the next steps would be. The entire crew was super-friendly and polite. I would 100% recommend King Tree service and will use them for any/all projects in the future! Thank you James and King Tree Service!!!! read more

Crew was friendly but in the process of removing tree branches they destroyed my daughter's fruit garden without telling us. Walked out this morning to discover the raspberry, blackberry, and strawberry bushes had been wrecked by falling tree branches. We have informed our landlord of this as well. The cost of replacing the plants is not the issue, it's the disappointment it has brought to my family as it was something we've been working on together for an extended period of time. Additionally the fence in the back was damaged which they did repair, but it speaks to the amount of care that went into the work as multiple things were damaged in one day. read more

James King came to my house and was just about the most curtious and prossional individual I have had the pleasure to work with. He was honest and very flexible in working around both of our ever changing schedules. He was able to perform the job, even though I am in the military and was out of the area at the time. He also sent pictures to my cell phone to show the job he did and all I have to say is "WOW"! Not only did he cut the trees down that I asked, he left the yard looking 100% better than before. There wasn't a single twig ANYWHERE. I mean they cleaned up stuff on the ground that was there before he did the job. Would I recommend his company? The word "yes" doesn't say enough. Also, his prices were below the other three contractors I had price the same job, so I would have to say that I hit the nail on the head when we decided to go with King Tree Service and I will most definitly have him coming back to take down the trees in the front yard too! read more
