We had front range arborists here this week to trim several trees on our property and the four man crew did an excellent job. They explained everything you were going to do and did a walk-through after and cleaned up all the debris well. All of them were polite and kind and we're very pleased with the service. I would actually have given five stars if it didn't take so long to get the appointment: we initially called about eight weeks ago and then didn't hear from them and we called back to check where we were in their line, we were told they lost our email address. I'm not sure what the glitch was there but that put our job off for several more weeks, which was unfortunate but everything else went great once we got them out here. read more

I highly recommend front range arborists! I have a pine tree that was dying and they came out and diagnosed it. Unfortunately we were not able to save the tree however I was very appreciative that they came out and looked at it for me. They wanted $175 to remove the tree which I thought was excessive for a six month old tree. However I could see if it was a very rooted tree that had been there for years how $175 would be justified but for me and the tree being six months old it wasn't. They are very responsive and kind. I have been using Front Range for years...they are always right up to speed with knowledgable assistance and quickly available for advice. We have huge Ponderosa pine tress in our yard...and while we are literally surrounded by neighbors right now having trees dying and being cut down from beetles...our trees stand tall, green, and healthy...not a beetle insight...vaccinated and watched over by Front Range, trimmed and vibrant. I had front range arborist come out today to trim back 6 pines, Norway maple, and an ash tree. The guys were super amazing and nice, cleaned everything up. They even helped me with taking care of some old tree branches that broke off and were put to the side. They have the trees looking healthy and happy. Front Range Arborists did the best job trimming our trees in 30 years! They not only removed limbs that were 60+ feet high, they also shaped the trees so they grow evenly in the years to come. The 5 men who worked for us were professional, respectful, and thorough; and they cleaned up and disposed of all the limbs, sticks, and leaves at the end of theIr day. I had a silver maple tree with one of the three large trunks that was completely dead. They removed the trunk and branches within a crowded garden and backyard. When they left you could barely tell they were even there. They are very professional. read more

This company may not honor its quotes during the busy season. I have an email from the Office Assistant on 7/21/2022 quoting $650 for removal of "1 pine tree and the log pile and all the slash piles", based on photos I sent her. For reference, the photos showed a large amount of slash volume (~12, 15-25 ft pines and aspens w/ branches, ~15 smaller trees w/ branches, and clippings from ~10 large bushes). I told the Office Assistant the piles might get a bit bigger before the crew arrived, which she said was fine. I even assumed there might be an extra charge depending how much was added. We ended up adding clippings from 3 more large bushes and 1 medium Aspen. The crew arrived and removed several of the slash piles, then said they were out of space, and left the pine tree and the last large pile. Before leaving the crew told me the pine tree (to be taken down) wasn't on the quote, and they'd need to come back and there may be an additional charge. However, when the crew first arrived, without being prompted, the same crewmember asked my wife where the tree to be taken down was, making us think they actually knew about the tree ahead of time. The Owner called saying that because we'd added to the piles, it would be an extra $300 to come back and complete the job. If everything they'd quoted from the original photos was $650, how could a few more bushes and a medium tree be another $300? I understand there's a trip charge for the crew, however this shouldn't be put on the customer when the originally quoted work wasn't even completed. The pile that the crew left was much larger than the amount we'd added after the original quote, so either we were misquoted by the office, or the crew didn't show up with enough space to fulfill the quoted work. We offered to meet the Owner half way and pay an additional $150, which he refused. During a phone call, the Owner said "I can get $400 an hour for this work, and my guys were there 2 hours, so you're getting a deal"...basically admitting he'd underquoted the original amount, and possibly overcharges other customers. I think they should have actually visited to quote the work rather than relying on photos, or at least asked for more photos to ensure they understood the job. Once on site, the crew should have communicated to us or the Office Assistant, and we should have been able to decide what we wanted removed if they didn't want to/weren't able to remove everything (leaving us with the large pine tree). Not a great experience. read more

Thanks to the FRA crew who took care of the overgrown elms at our elderly neighbor's house, trimmed up our neglected shrubs, and cleared the deadwood from our huge ash tree. This company was a pleasure to deal with from my first phone call until the big red trucks pulled away. The crew gets extra points for the remarkable clean up job they did. It took some time to get to the top of their list after the estimate. Worth the wait! I understand why they are in demand. They do great work! read more

Don't bother- call another company, as it's not worth the frustration. I had the fall tree fertilization that went well, the person recommended the spring service to help with the somewhat newly planted trees. I scheduled with the person at the time and even called to make sure I was on the books for the spring. Amazingly nobody bothered to show in the spring, so I called and left a voice mail with no response. I called the following week and the person took my name and number and said I would receive a return call- nothing. So I called yet again and the person again took my name and number saying she would get back to me after talking to the manager--- nothing. I guess they must have enough business or they just don't care. read more

I was originally impressed that they came out the following day when we called them last fall to look at our aspen trees trunks that were turning black. They gave us a written estimate and said they would be back in April and June to spray our trees. They never showed up. They never showed and when we called they said they lost the estimate and to send them the one we had. We did that. Called them after we sent them the estimate they had given us as nobody called us back. They stated they would have to provide a new estimate as the original estimate was no longer valid due to the snow in May. They lost the estimate and no longer wanted to honor the original one they gave us. Poor business practice. read more

Please stay away from this company! They are disrespectful and unethical in their treatment of people on the Colorado Pesticide Sensitive Registry. First they notified me they would be spraying trees by my home/property. They have to do this because I'm on the pesticide-sensitive registry. They were very rude and refused to tell me the addresses! So I called the Department of Ag. department that oversees the registry. The supervisor of that department called Front Range Arborists and told them they have to tell me the addresses. So they called back with the addresses. They then decided to reschedule the spraying due to weather (I had called and let them know I expected them to not spray while it was rainy as runoff would come onto my property). I also said there are many nesting birds right now. It seemed to me they do not even consider wildlife in their applications. Anyway, a couple hours before they would be spraying on two properties in close proximity to mine, they left a voice mail. That voice mail was not even delivered until later in the day. So I was in my yard thinking it was safe today because no call had come in to firm up the supposedly previously-given tentative date of today before today. My eyes have been burning all day, and I will be throwing out my contacts and opening a fresh pair. I believe they purposely did not call a day ahead in order that I not watch for overspray. I have made a complaint to the Department of Agriculture's pesticide sensitive registry department, but the damage is done. If this company can show such reckless disregard for pesticide-sensitive persons, just think how they will treat your yards, pets and wildlife and neighboring yards, pets, wildlife and any children out playing in those yards. read more

If you love the women in your family please understand that these men will continue to sexually harass them after they have been warned to stop. Unfortunately we had to deal with this serious incident and don't want anyone to go through the same. It astounds me that in 2019 a woman is afraid to be IN her own home. I pray that this hasn't happened to anyone else and that they are never hired again due to their indiscretions and blatant disrespect. These people know what they're doing. Their pricing was reasonable and the guys did an excellent job. I swear the yard looked better after they left than before the tree came down. One bit was that they did call me to reschedule further out for a couple of days because someone had a tree fall on their roof. If I had a tree fall on my roof, I'd be very pleased to not be put at the end of a queue. Their professionalism from the front office to the estimator to the lumberjacks were all top notch. Calling them again to do some clean up on the trees that now look like they could use some trimming of dead branches that were hidden by the huge pine that's trunk was touching the house. read more

Called them the other day to get a free tree evaluation. We were worried about several small residential trees in our yard that have not been growing well in the last 7 years since we moved in. They came to the house within the 48 business hours promise and called before they showed up. The arborist looked at all the trees in the yard and gave detailed suggestions on how to improve the health of several trees. He was knowledgeable and friendly - and the best part is that it cost nothing! He asked us to please use their business if we decided to replace any trees in the future. We used Front Range Arborists twice for tree removals. Last year they left several roots in the ground that we specifically asked for them to remove when they came back a couple of days ago. What happened was that they removed the tree as requested but left the roots again. On top of that a Comcast cable was ripped when they started removing one of the bigger roots that were 'overseen" last year. They left, got paid, got a tip and then we discovered they have not even touched the other roots that were left. After contacting we were told that the roots would rott ? Erm, no they have not rotted since last year and it has been 8 months. Besides we will have put in lawn and now the garden people have to deal with this, adding to our costs. Thank you very much. I'm am not satisfied and I will not recommend this company to anyone. I'll also let our real estate agent know not to recommend this company. Very disappointing. read more

Front Range Arborists was recommended to me by a friend. The city has a cost-sharing program to remove trees in certain neighborhoods that pose a fire danger. I had tall juniper trees and a juniper bush right next to my house. Front Range Arborists removed them and they did a wonderful job. I will definitely call them in the future. read more

I'm a repeat customer, and had 3 trees trimmed last week. The crew did a great job with a cottonwood, an ash, and a maple. They knew exactly where and how much to trim to improve the trees' health and shape, then did an excellent job cleaning up the debris. They even cleaned up a pile of leaves I hadn't bagged!
