    Crawfish
    E.l. J.

I have been coming here off and on since they opened. You can become addicted real quick. My favorite has always been the fried shrimp, broccoli, corn, scallops and hush puppies. Recently I kept saying I was going to try crawfish. It's a big hit there, but growing up we never ate them. So a guy that works there was like, "Hold on!" And he goes to the back and brings two crawfish out. He proceeds to show me how to eat them and then I tried them. I'm hooked! Why haven't I been eating these?! I read some ppls review that saids you don't get as much as some places, but I have had some pretty large ones, which makes sense why you wouldn't get a lot some of the time. Like one was the size of a baby lobster! It was crazy! My only wish is that they seasoning like Juicy Crab. That would really set the food off. Their seafood quality is good.

My husband, one of our sons, and I wanted some seafood last night. We went to few establishments, yet they didn't have what we wanted. So a family member told us about KSM. We drove over 30 minutes and was NOT disappointed. We walked in and immediately got a whiff of the seafood smell- hence I'm pregnant lol ( however this is a fresh/ frozen seafood market). They have so many choices of seafood: (crawfish, shrimp, crabs, crabs legs, many types of fish, etc.) We told the cashier it was our first time and he was very nice and patient. He said 'tell me want you are craving/want and I'll put it together for you'. You asked a pregnant woman?!!--Immediately I said crawfish, shrimp, and corn lol. He explained roughly how much I would get by ordering by the lb. After we all ordered, we waited about 15 minutes (we wanted it cooked). They showed us our food and it was pleasing to us all. We arrived home and immediately said we found a new seafood spot when my cravings take over (I'm a big cooker and love to cook) but sometimes I want to eat out). I recommend KSM even if you don't live locally.

The customer service was amazing and very informative! Plenty of crab, fish, fillets, shellfish and side items to choose from and priced very well. The medium or spicy seasoning is recommended!

This was my first and last time here. I've lived less than 10mins away from this place for years and finally decided to try it out. I ordered a pound of scallops, Steamed and all I can say is Never again... For one they were slightly over cooked. And 2, I found something mysterious, white, and EXTREMELY hard in about 5 of the scallops. I know scallops come from a shell but.. not like this... i was Kinda grossed out . Glad to know i wasn't missing out on anything.. thanks but no thanks.

This is supposedly 2 pounds. Don't trust these liars with your hard earned money.

I often come here for spicy crawfish, but my last experience was enough to make me stop. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place, because these people are disgusting liars!!! I usually buy 2-3 pounds of crawfish, and they are placed in plastic and brown paper bags. This most recent time, I asked for 2 pounds of crawfish, and they placed it in a small Styrofoam box. I asked the worker, are you sure this is 2 pounds? It looks less than 2 pounds. He said yes over and over. I should have pushed more, but thought maybe there is a chance I was wrong. I couldn't stop thinking about it at home. So, I checked with my food scale. It turned out that they gave me 1 pound and 15.6 oz that's including the Styrofoam box and plastic bag! I don't understand b.s. like this. They can up charge if that's what they want, but don't lie to customers and not give them what they paid for. If you want to second guess whether your pounds of seafood is what you ordered, then please come to this place. I am taking my business to: Southern Seafood 2611 Lawrenceville Highway Decatur, Georgia https://yelp.to/qTKq/CL0T6YozFI

Wow, great seafood! This is what can be described as an assuming hole-in-the-wall gem located in a nearly forgotten strip mall off of Memorial Drive, but sometimes, the best foods can be found in dives! SO suggested that we come based off a friend's high recommendation and I'm so glad that we did. There is a long counter filled with various cuts of fish and seafood on display as well as 2-3 freezers against the other wall. You can actually pick out your own seafood from them. There are only 3 tables here, so it's more of a buy and dash place. However, if you do choose to eat here and not risk trying to get back home and arrive with soggy seafood, then bring a light jacket because it is absolutely freezing in here. Which is great for seafood, but not so much for someone like me. On our first visit, SO ordered an assortment of seafood: tilapia, shrimp, crab legs. My eyes lit up when I saw frog legs on the menu. I know that alot of people do not like frog legs, and that's fine, cause that just means more for me! I asked them how they cooked it and was even given a quizzed look by the employee who even admitted that this wasn't their most requested item. SO and I settled into a corner with a table and waited for our seafood. The shrimps were big and plump. The light breading on the fish let the real quality and freshness of the fish come through, and the frog legs were PERFECT!! It wasn't overdone (which can result in tough, dry, jerky like meat) or under done (which results in a gamey, chewy meat). HOWEVER, a big disclaimer, the second time I had them they were very overdone and slightly burnt - but there was a huge crowd mob that day so I can understand. On Monday's and Wednesdays, your seafood is an additional 20% off, so I am guessing that they get rid of inventory those days to make room for more. A word of advice, if you are going to eat here, just know that you are dining off of Memorial Drive and can sometimes be a witness to some crazy stuff. Case in point, on one of our visits here, there were 2 ladies that came in to pick up their seafood. One lady made a HUGE stink about being shorted 2 pieces of shrimp. Like seriously? You ordered a whole pound to eat and then you scream bloody murder from 2 measly pieces of shrimp? Even her friend was like, ok, I will give you 2 of mine - just shut up! Even the other customers there were making comments on the craziness we were all being entertained to, but if that is the price of great seafood then I guess I will just have to sit back and be entertained by it! LOL

Decatur Rd. at a very busy intersection, it sits tucked into a tiny shopping center, blink and you will drive right past it. Parking is limited, and you can immediately tell the small lot fills up fast, especially during peak hours. I stumbled upon Tenya while in town on a Tuesday, scrolling Yelp in search of a solid lunch spot, and I'm glad I did. This is a family-owned Japanese eatery that specializes in comfort food, and according to their website, everything is made from scratch, which absolutely shows in the quality. I placed my order online and picked it up with ease. I ordered the Shrimp Saku Saku appetizer along with a fresh garden Tenya salad. The shrimp were excellent, perfectly crispy with a flavorful panko coating that didn't feel heavy or greasy. The salad was impressively fresh and came with their house-made ginger dressing, which paired beautifully with the crisp greens and added just the right balance of sweetness and tang. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy, with a decent amount of seating for its size. The customer service was warm and welcoming; the lady at the counter greeted me kindly and had my order ready shortly after I arrived, making the pickup process smooth and pleasant. A nice bonus is the selection of packaged Japanese snacks and drinks available at the counter, always a fun touch and something you don't see everywhere. Next time, I plan to dine in and explore more of the menu, along with sampling some of those snacks and drinks. Tenya is a great example of simple, thoughtfully prepared food done right.
