The only thing that made me try it is that I had a taste for shrimp and the other place nearby wouldn't have worked. I'm glad I did. This place was great. The area was clean, no smells like you normally get in a seafood market like this, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the prices pretty reasonable. My pound of jumbo shrimp, fries, and hushpuppies came out to about $18. And they were delicious. Some of the best shrimp I've ever had; I was completely thrown back. They were juicy well seasoned and fried well. You can get your food fried or steamed or you can take it fresh. They take your number and text you when your food is ready. The total cost for the 4 snow crab clusters and 6 shrimp is 84.32. The food taste definitely didn't have a taste (steam). The shrimp was supposed to be fried, but unfortunately it was not. It's a big sign telling you to check your food because there is no refund or exchange. He asked twice if we were sure we wanted to return the shrimp after I checked. When it comes to restaurants, I won't let you take my food back if you keep asking. What's the reason for asking if you all missed the order? Will I came back? No! I'll definitely stick with southern seafood instead. read more

Don't sleep on this place. I've eaten here twice already--within the same week. The food is seasoned well and reasonably priced for seafood. I've tasted the fried shrimp plate, crab legs, and crab cakes. Service is good with friendly staff. This is a great seafood place whether you want crab legs or shrimp you can get it how you want it. they season the way you want it, cook it the way you want it, very good. I usually get fried shrimp. Very busy place but they do move you fairly quickly. They don't want a lot of people crowded up in there, so they will text you when your order is ready. you can sit in your car and wait. Also they do take EBT but will charge you a dollar to cook the food. read more

This is a great seafood spot. Food is always done right, I had ordered a lobster tail once and they over cooked it so I didn't eat it but everything else I've ever ordered from here is the bomb. The food here is great and plentiful. The staff has a way of moving a large volume of people to get you served very efficiently as your food is cooked to order. Omg!!! I love this placeee. My first experience made me go back and purchase my plates. Everything was well seasoned. I ordered 2 pounds of perch fish side of broccoli, hush puppies and medium shrimp. Parking was good when I placed my order but when I came back it seemed like everyone was trying to purchase food. The only downfall was the wait listed for 20 mins but it totally went over and they were suppose to call me when my order was ready but sadly after waiting for that text I decided to walk in and check on my order. First called to place order, but they answer the phone and never picked up. If my friend hadn't been in the area, we wouldn't have went. At least answer the phone, and say you don't take phone orders. To leave me on hold longer than 2 minutes is just plain disrespectful. Well, that day must have been a good day for patience because we sat on hold for 30 min. Patience and 3-way anyway. If we hadn't been on 3-way, I would not have hung on the line that long. Ridiculous that they never came back to check the line. Second, the food is quite savory. I ordered 2 Snow crab claws, what I thought were 2 filets of whiting, 2 pieces of corn, 2 potatoes, and broccoli. Honestly, I had enough food to feed a small army. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. I definitely had enough for lunch the day. Oooopps. Not sorry. :-) I ordered the crab legs with Cajun and garlic seasoning...best decision ever. Fish was fried well enough that the inside was flaky without being too moist. I definitely recommend this place just keep your customer service expectations low. They charge for everything like melted butter, tartar sauce, cocktail/seafood sauce, etc. It's not a place you can dine in, so be prepared to drive fast or eat in the car. ;-) I probably would give them a 2 due to the phone situation but I'll give them a 3 bc the food was dope and I forgot. I tried this place with two of my friends and was expecting more. To start, it's a small parking lot with a lot of traffic around. The menu seems pretty extensive and the prices were pretty fair. The food just didn't leave a mark on me. I've had better seasoned seafood at other places around town and I just wasn't impressed. This place was nothing special. I thought that the crab legs were overcooked and the potatoes could have used a little more seasoning. And the shrimp were small. I didnt want to go down memeorial to the other king seafood so i decdided to try the one on Glenwood. Placed our order it took about 15 minutes. Got the food and got home. I was only able to eat one piece of fish as the 2nd piece I started to eat tasted like urine was on it. The fish still had a fishy taste like it wasnt cleaned with leamon or anything. The fries where okay and the hushpuppies where alright. I bought food from here about 4 times. I ordered the same meal every time, 2 snow crab legs, potatoes and broccoli. The first 3 times I paid between $18-19. The 4th time I called in my order. They charged me $26. When I asked why the difference in price I was told because my crab legs were large. I will never return. No more support for businesses with shady practices! read more

I am stickler for customer service. I had been a regular for this location since they opened. The food was always on point. Recently, I ordered the exact same thing for dinner and the food was EXTREMELY SALTY. I called to report this, didn't want my money back, only asked them to replace the order. They wouldn't re-make the food which was very disappointing and actually insulting. Again, I was a regular, visiting their store several times a month. This incident proved to me that loyalty is not a factor. I won't be back and I will not encourage anyone to support this business. They have a great staff that is very quick, and will capture your order without fail. My favorite items here is the fried shrimp, steamed scallops and the broccoli. I'm not sure what the cook does but he make the broccoli so flavorful, and cooks it just right. I used to like the snapper but it has had a funky taste and smell to it the last few times I ordered it. I'm not sure if it because I'm pregnant or if it may be bad. However it's close to where I work so I will continue to be a regular for their fried shrimp or scallops. Also don't forget to ask for the seafood sauce... It's soooo good with the fried shrimp.
