First site driving up to this location, I saw the well crafted and color coded logo and I took notice of the words "Market Place" in the brand name. After walking in I was mesmerized by the site of what was in the entrance. Like a kid in a candy shop I began to stammer out of excitement. I stated that I was just looking, he responded by saying, if you need anything, just let me know, I'll get it for you. Awesome custom service!!! He scored big . This is a MARKET PLACE, they have a plethora of stuff. Bread's of all sorts, snacks, cakes, flowers. They have a coffee bar. A hot food bar, a salad bar, smoothie bar, and a dining area to relax and enjoy. I actually walked through the entire store because I could not believe my eyes. I will give an A for their merchandiser. Although most people aren't aware of product merchandising, I am a merchandiser and I saw little room for improvement, one might say the merchandising efforts were not miniscule. The entire store was magnificent . My attention went to the smoothie bar, the lady behind the counter was more than helpful, engaging, and maintained eye contact when conversing. The name of the drink is Fresh Green (FG), the drink was obviously fresh as they have tons of fresh produce in the area. Kale, lemon, celery, and apple is noticable and gave a distinction taste. North Shore Farms is an amazing supermarket. They are not the biggest but they certainly pack a big punch. I truly do not know where to start. They have so many food services available to the public. I want to start with their AMAZING bakery. The best bread in NYS! They make all kinds of "designer breads and rolls" including their bacon and egg baked into a flat bread. Pizzas, meat breads and any other items. If you can think about it, it's probably there. They have custom meat cutting as well as a very well stocked meat isle. Their seafood department is top notch. It is my opinion that Whole Foods in general/Massapequa park only care about profits, not customer experience in store. 8:00am on a Sunday, this was a miserable in store experience. Spoke to a store manager about it, he only gave excuses and said he would pass the information along. I vote with my dollars. I will not shop at Whole Foods until they limit the number of online orders and show some consideration for customers shopping in the store. Poor management to put profits over people. Also, other store notes: at every hot bar location in general the food quality is pitiful and the cold food is no better. I got sick after eating their Sonoma chicken salad. I learned the hard way that 50% off is no bargain. What used to be organic/healthy now looks like frozen unhealthy meals. They are even inconsistent with when they put food out? The pizza & sushi are just ok, nothing special. Everything is expensive including the $14 Guacamole. The croissants taste like brioche bread, usually stale. Costco has better fresh sourdough bread. I shopped here because it was convenient but all of these items I could get anywhere. Pass.
