I have to say the service I received was outstanding. I called due to me taking down my light fixture and was not able to put up my new one. They sent someone out the same day. The election was very pleasant and pleasant. He started that he had worked for the company about 10 years and loved. I will continue using the foe all electrical needs. read more

I found King Electrical from a web search because a ground fault outlet wouldn't reset. That outlet controls the HVAC, and this was in the late spring, so I needed it done quickly. My call was late afternoon; they had an opening the next day. Their electrician (who showed up exactly on time) quickly diagnosed the problem as being an outdoor outlet on that same circuit - but the builders had installed indoor-rated outlets outside! I authorized the electrician to replace all 3 outlets. He did - quickly and for a reasonable price. No problems since. I then called King again a couple months later to hang a heavy chandelier in our high foyer. Again: immediate opening, on time, quick work, good price, no issues. read more

We are very happy with the service we received from King Electrical. David worked on our home and he is very professional. He outlined in great detail all the issues that we discussed and explained how they would correct them. We had a new breaker box electrical panel installed, an old fuse box depreciated and the wiring rerouted to the new breaker box, a new electrical meter, and some old and worn outlets and light switches replaced. The work was done on time and we had good communication throughout. They accidentally missed one outlet to replace in the kitchen, and when I called to let them know, they were there in 2 hours to take card of it!! Great service!!!! My only suggestion would be for the worker(s) to do a better job tidying up when they are done working. There were a some loose screws, bits of plastic and other debris laying around; sheetrock dust was left where they had to cut in the wall; and outside where they pulled out boards and replaced them, the old boards are strewn around, rusted nails sticking out, etc. We can certainly take care of it, nothing major, just a little disappointing to have to clean that up after spending so much money on the repair work. This would NOT stop us from calling them again, their work is impeccable, but this is something they could easily correct moving forward. Without that issue, this would be a 5 star rating for sure!!!! read more

King Electrical Services came out next day to fix a broken light fixture. The electrician was in and out and then spent time with me answering all the questions i had. Very professional and kind!! Thanks again King. read more

We came home from vacation to find that our hot water heater was not working. My husband thought the problem was a deficient outdoor electrical outlet, but after replacing the socket that didn't help . We called king electrical services since it was a Sunday, and they provide 24 hour service. The young man came when he was supposed to, checked all four outdoor outlets, explained what he was doing and found one that was full of water. He was very methodical and careful. He took his safety Seriously. Replaced that outlet, and now we've got hot water! Very pleased with the service and will use them again if we need to read more

Pretty disappointed with the person who called me with the quote. Was a binary discussion. He gave me the price. I told him its a bit too high and his response "Thank You" and hung up. So much for customer service and customer experience! read more

Attempted to tackle an electrical project myself in a home that is 70 years old with a hodge podge of wiring. After several hours of trying to put Humpty back together again and zero lights in the house (caused by myself at this point and not part of the initial issue) David and Andrea came to my rescue. They were there when they said they would be, made sense of my mess, made the repair I was originally addressing and got everything back up and running. i promise to call them FIRST next time (and not at 8pm!) Thank you! read more

I am a business owner who charges fair prices for good service. I called King Electric because my business had a dimmer switch that was out and I needed it to be replaced. Simple job that should not have taken more than an hour. Well, I get my invoice and find out they billed me for three hours at 126 per hour, because when I asked that a dimmer switch be replaced, they didn't bring the dimmer switch with them and they had to go out and get one. If you are going to charge a premium hourly rate, the very least you could do for a consumer is arrive to the job ready to do the work. But not King. They also charged me for replacing light bulbs, something I could have easily done for myself. I spoke to the person who I will assume will be an owner of this business. He gave me nothing but excuses and told me to write about my experiences on Yelp. So here I am. Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of electricians out there who are actually prepared to do their jobs. read more

King Electrical Services - Electricians Near Me - Greensboro, North Carolina

The work was good and he responded quickly. My complaint is he was here less than 30 min the first day and the fix was temporary so we agreed for him to come back and replace a fixture another day. The 2nd day he was also here about 30 - 40 min completing the job. I was charged the second day for an hour and a half of work. I understand the service fee for day 1 and even a full hour for day 2 because he had to return but the extra half hour was an over charge. It was not clearly communicated when we spoke why the charge was for an hour and a half. His work was good and fast but I felt he cheated me on the cost. I had other work I would like to have done but I don't feel good about this transaction and communication and would not reuse this company. read more

In my opinion the person I dealt with was very unprofessional and rude I called for a estimate and was later called a liar for not replying to some questions they had.(The e-mail went into my spam folder.) I don't know why the company didn't call me to touch base at least. They could have asked me their questions at that time in a professional manner! After my sorry experience with this company I'm glad I didn't hire them! All they offered was excuses. I think they were looking to raise the price after finding they couldn't conform to my specs for the price that was quoted me.But don't worry friends. They will probably compile a myriad of excuses as to why they did no wrong.I'm pretty sure they will try to turn everything around and blame me. To bad they couldn't have just called me. They had all my info. Such a waste of my time!!!!!! read more

Excellent service. Fast and great price. No overtime charges.

Called these guys at eleven pm on a Sunday night after trying other companies who never picked up the phone. These guys answered immediately, came out quickly, pinpointed the problem and fixed it in a very timely manner. They took the time to explain to me what was going on and were very courteous. I am extremely pleased with the service I received and will definitely use them again, and tell my friends. Thank you for giving me peace of mind! read more

I called a week ago and set up an appointment for 2:00PM today. They called me right at the time of the appointment today to say they couldn't make it because they had gotten too busy...and asked if we could set it up for the following week. Not professional. read more

We had a dining room light that we wanted removed and 2 pendant style lights installed. The company came out promptly to give an instimate and came promptly to complete the work. Friendly and highly professional. We won't hesitate to use this company over and over again. read more

The owner came out wrote everything that we wanted for the remodel of our home. He told my husband that he would call in 48 hours with a quote but has not called us with one at all. As much as companies need business you would think that would be banging on doors to get it!!!! I'm very disappointed by this. It's not like we don't have the money to do this. We told the owner that we would be paying cash money!!!!! read more

I phoned King Electrical and set an appointment for them to assess damage to my home due to a severe electrical strike. Due to the time of the appointment, I had to take off early from work and miss two hours of pay. King Electrical phoned me five minutes before the agreed upon appointment time, and said they were on another job and would not be able to keep our appointment! When I informed them that I had taken off from work early for the appointment, they stated they would try to send someone out from the shop to do the agreed upon assessment. No one ever showed up, and I never received a call back! read more

King Electric is the epitome of excellence. From the very first point of contact, these gentlemen were professional and thorough in explaining accurate instructions to stabilize our "emergency" situation and issue an ETA of their arrival to our home. Once on site, they went straight to work, assessing and troubleshooting our problem and verifying that our environment was either stable or de-energized, hence avoiding any further damage to our appliances/equipment and our dwelling. Within a very short time, they diagnosed our problem and provided a written estimate for resolution. Their prices were on point for the situation at hand and they made sure they satisfied any question we raised on expectations of work performed and expected outcomes. As the work progressed, these guys were so considerate. They had to cut the power to our house for several days, but managed to leave an outlet on for a fan and have our fridge working at night, the little conveniences that really mean a lot during these types of unexpected events. Job was completed timely and right on target with the estimate. They walked thru everything with us going thru basically all the work accomplished and answering our questions yet again making sure we were happy. Also they thoroughly cleaned the entire work area. We just cannot say enough positive things about KING ELECTRIC. If you want a professional, skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate company who will get the job done and done right... KING ELECTRIC is that company. We now have them on speed dial. They have made a loyal customer out of us. read more
