The courthouse was relatively clean. The deputies were ok, they were not rude but weren't overly helpful. There was a fantastic civilian security guard there that went out of his way to provide a chair at the security desk for an elderly visitor.

No police ever came to help us write a report and that was just the beginning. The police missed so many of her times. She broke her protection order against me that the sergeant had to call and apologize to me. She has a firearm license that was supposed to be turned in every single month for a year and all they did was continue the case for an entire year and then she never had to give up her license. Absolutely nothing and I mean nothing happened to this girl. She runs out constantly saying she's going to kill me calling me every sort of name in the book I've had to hide from her. She stepped up to my face and tried to hurt me multiples of times and then laughed while she was trying to run me over with her vehicle. The courts did nothing except for send me emails that she was in non-compliance. Before the termination of the protection order continuously emailed and called the courts for help on how to renew the order and was ignored and forwarded and sent to everybody else but getting help. So now, the protection order has expired, she still has her firearm license because nobody ever took any action on her. Her. Honestly they let her get away with whatever she wanted the entire year.. since they did nothing the entire year she felt she could do whatever she wanted, and that's exactly what she did. I had police on the phone. Tell me There were no grounds for her breaking her order what? She had come up to me and tried to hurt me in my face and it's supposed to be a thousand ft away from me at all times. She even tried to run me over with my 3-year-old stepdaughter in the car. Now I have to fear for my life on a daily basis because the courts never took her license or took any action. I have never been so disappointed and scared in my life but disappointed because this should never have happened and now this is my reality, scared for my life.

This district court though competent court of law, is…read morenothing short of anything but imperfection. Honestly, Bernie Sanders said it best. Our American prison system is broken. To me, the foundation of our criminal justice departments, starts with jurisdictional court of laws like the district court Evergreen division. Personally, I promoted myself available as an attorney, specifically, Legal counsel, to the evergreen division and they hired me. Unfortunately, still haven't had access to equal pay for equal work or any protection afforded to U.S. citizens under our labor laws which is sexism at the highest level of absolute gender discrimination of a black male. Had I been of white ethnicity and female of England ancestry, the evergreen division clearly would have made sure I got hired traditionally and received my salary routinely or annually with full access and freedom to spend my employment earning however I like, on whoever I like, where ever I like, while wearing whatever I like, whenever I like because it's my money, I made, you didn't. So my question to district court, evergreen division. When should I expect notice by mail from the bank you do business with on new hires. I been hired now for several years, been out for 4 years, going on 5 years. Telephone me pro'bono at (206)751-5342 ask for my legal name Joe Nathan Louis Tax number 534-84-5123 Yours truly, Legal counsel June 3rd 2024

Once I got there, even though it was very close to their noon lunch hour closure, the young lady at the front desk called the auditor office to check on a few things for me and saved me $130!! I wasn't sure if there was a time limit on the free name change after getting married and she called around to check it out for me. I can't express how thankful I am for that, she could have easily just taken my money. With the holidays coming up, 130 dollars can buy more presents. Thank you so much for making my first trip to your courthouse a friendly and pleasant one! I appreciate having kind people in our community.

The security guy was kind and gentle humored, the clerk empathetic, understanding, communicative and patient with me. The judge did not dismiss my case but listened, was kind-mannered and did the very best he could to give me a verdict and explain options regarding deferrment which was fair. I think FAIR and JUST are really the main criteria for a my good review! Thank you Judge Olsen!

I digress). There really isn't much to do here except try to talk your way out of a speeding ticket. (Lucky for me the judge agreed and deferred my ticket. He, however, was not very interested in sitting through the 26 page presentation I made--replete with nice photos and examples of why this was entrapment. The least he could have done was shown some courtesy and let me get though my presentation for him.) The seating here is pretty uncomfortable and the employees seem to relish the control they yield over their subjects. I can't recommend this place unless you really either: a) have an affinity for traffic cops; or b) have toshow up because you got a ticket you need to try to get out of. Walk-in appointments are not accepted. Reservations are required.

Ugh!! The wheels of…read morejustice move so slowly at the clerk's office. Can I give them an "obstruction of justice" charge, lol. First, I was given wrong information from (name I forgot, sorry!) regarding release of information. She told me to look it up online. Okay, lazybones, I know it is not available online and I have to contact the courthouse. Sorry to interrupt your game of computer solitaire! Again she tried to deny me (I'm honestly beginning to wonder if she got paid off, I find her behavior so odd...why this delay? Is she seriously that lazy) So I called the courthouse on my cell phone when I was standing right in front of her, and the lady behind her answered. This is the only way to get things done; you have to both *be there* and call them at the same time. The same information I was able to get from the Everett Division in about 60 seconds, and I would imagine that is a much busier court. and that is the sad thing. at least their employees are competent. However, most of the cases were filed in this court, so I have to deal with them regarding release of information. It would've been helpful to learn that the person I was filing against was a convicted criminal, but they denied me that information. Thanks, but no thanks S Division. Explain it to Jesus on judgement day!!

I told my husband it was like a court from the Twilight Zone- pleasant. Strange. Way to go folks.

First of all, I'm lucky enough to live downtown, so it was a 11 minute walk for me to get there. But the entire process was very smooth. Instructions to where I needed to be were streamlined and nearly impossible to confuse, which was even nicer. The workers I encountered were very understanding, sweet, and efficient. The communicated with us frequently so that there was never a question of what was going on. They answered every question I could have imagined asking even before they actually took questions from us. And for a first timer, they really gave me all the info I needed to relax and just be present for the whole experience. They mentioned more than once how much we were all appreciated for our service and encouraged us to leave for the 1hour and 15 minute lunch break with recs for places to eat. Plus they made it known more than once that we could take 15 minute breaks outside by just signing out. The actual room we sat in for a majority of the time there was big, bright, and airy with high ceilings and huge windows with sweeping Seattle views. There were comfy lounge chairs for people with back or pain issues, desks, board games and puzzles. I also appreciated the laptop tables and free WIFI so you could work and/or entertain yourself. If you needed it, there's a quiet room for reading, free coffee and refreshments, and vending machines for soda and snacks. I didn't take advantage of this because of the low temps, but there was a gorgeous terrace we could also enjoy for some fresh air and a quick break from the room. Everything looked clean, including the floors, chairs, and laptop tables. The bathrooms were also very clean and tidy. Overall, while it was very time consuming and there was a lot of waiting, it really wasn't so bad, especially with those views on a sunny day.

Public Statement -- Courthouse Security Experience (Snohomish County, Oct 21 2025)…read more On October 21, 2025, around 11:40 a.m., I went through security at the Snohomish County Courthouse and was treated with unnecessary hostility by a courthouse deputy named D. Hart. I complied fully with every requirement but was met with sarcasm and a dismissive remark that "if I didn't like it, I didn't have to come there." For many citizens who must attend court, that attitude is unacceptable. I later tried to give calm, respectful feedback, but the deputy cut me off, activated his camera, and escalated the exchange instead of listening. I have filed a formal written complaint with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, but I'm sharing this publicly because people deserve to know how visitors are treated at their own courthouse. Encounters like this can discourage people from exercising their rights or fulfilling their legal obligations. If you experience similar behavior, please speak out and document it. Every report helps show that this is not an isolated incident but part of a broader pattern that needs to be addressed. Professionalism and respect at the courthouse door should never be optional.
