Excellent experience! First time buying a tailored shirt + waistcoat and couldn't have enjoyed it…read moremore. Everything was explained properly, handled professionally and the end product was everything I wanted it to be. I've definitely found my tailor!

I'm getting married in Sept and had decided to get a suit made rather than hiring a morning suit…read morewhich was the other obvious option. I searched around the big savile row tailors and enquired about made-to-measure and bespoke suit prices. To be honest, their prices were way out of my budget range (£2000+) and as it was my first tailored suit, I was worried about the stuffiness in some of the other tailors that I had heard about. I then starting doing some research on Google, looking at reviews etc for other non-savile row tailors in the £1000-1500 range. I narrowed it down to a few tailors, one of which was Henry Herbert which I decided to go for after reading favourable reviews. Obviously getting a wedding suit made is a huge thing and you are essentially putting your trust in someone you have never met before. I have to say that Charlie who I dealt with was absolutely superb fitting in around work to come to the Savile Row office that he shares with another tailor. I came in a couple of times to pick a fabric, then once I decided to go ahead I had 2 fittings (each about 20 mins each to fit around work). There are some final tweaks happening and then the final suit will be delivered. It probably took a couple of months from start to finish. The suit looks superb a beautiful midnight blue cloth, and I also got a shirt made as well. The difference between the suit I came in and the one being made was obvious. Im sure the final result will be absolutely superb. Happy to give a reference. Highly recommended.

A convenient 5 minutes walk from old street tube, Tailor Made London is a suit tailors like no…read moreother. Rather than have a geezer poking at your bits with a tape measure in his teeth, the crew at Tailor Made have gone full future with a 3D body scanner. You simply step in to the machine and a few seconds later it has produced a full 3D model of your body, involving thousands of individual measurements. You still need to strip down to your shreddies (it can't see through clothes yet) but you're behind a screen and it's still less intrusive than a traditional measuring by a tailor. The studio clearly doubles as their office but it is bright and spacious with a comfortable lounge space at one end, literally stacked with style magazines and tailoring options. You can book a full-on style consultation but I was happy to just browse through the books of cloths and features until I found the bits I liked. Everyone there seemed really friendly and they were able to make suggestions without sounding like snobby fashionistas. All my details were sent to the tailor and a few weeks later I went back for my suit - I still can't believe how good it looks! Their tailored suits aren't "cheap" compared to off the peg high street, but you'd pay 4 or 5 times the amount for the same standard at a regular tailor's, and you might have to have one or two extra fittings before they get it right. Whatever you think about the body scanner, quality tailored suits at this price are not to be sniffed at!

I am disappointed at the poor service and quality provided…read more The shirts which the proprietor altered for me were done to a poor standard and I had to visit his shop three times 9-5 on various days before he was actually available to let me collect them. The alterations requested were basic: take four brand new shirts and shorten the sleeves by exactly two inches while also moving the gauntlets. An alteration I have paid for at countless other back street seamsters across the country before. Yet in contrast to the work I have seen previously, this gentleman's needlework leaves a lot to be desired. My shirtsleeves are now replete with loose threads, incomplete stitching, and a generally shoddy standard of work. I will take my next batch of shirts to a more reliable alterations tailor elsewhere next time. For £10 a pop, this is substandard work and an utter inconvenience to collect them.

They than told me that I needed to talk to their boss in order to get a suit made. And he wasn't around to speak to me. Now, what kind of tailors are they?!!! And who runs a business like that?! They couldn't even give me an answer when asked why I hadn't been told this when I phoned them before coming. If they can't get this right, how can I have confidence in their abilities as a tailor? My advice, don't go near them with your fabric.
