Coming to Long Beach Comprehensive Health Center lifted a tremendous amount of weight off my shoulders. Dr. Cruz, Dr. Marisse from the ultrasound department, and even the assistants and front desk treated me empathy and care. I did not have to wait long for an appointment on Friday and when I needed a follow up with ultrasound, they called me Monday morning and said I could be seen today or tomorrow. The building itself is a little old, but all the equipment is nice and the rooms are super clean. I have another follow up coming up in a month and I have zero anxiety about it knowing that I am in good hands.

If you're trying to get help from the women's clinic, don't expect much. The office feels very unorganized. After waiting months for an appointment, I'm asked why I'm there, even though the appointment was scheduled by their staff. If I waited three months to be seen, I would expect them to know the reason for my visit and have my information ready. Communication is poor, and it often feels like no one is on the same page. Overall, the experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I'm writing this so other people can know!

I gave birth to my son at St. Mary's in September 2020 and I had a beautiful experience with the exception of the first nurse that took me in to labor and delivery - (I believe she was Indian) and started getting me ready. She was a little rude and she hurt me when she checked to see if I was dialating to determine whether to check me in or not. At that point I was already regretting my decision. After I got admitted into my room I was about to complain and ask for someone different hoping she wasn't gonna be around all day and then that's when I got a whole new set of nurses and midwife and omg I'm so glad I did. They were all lovely ladies, Kim and Teresa very friendly, caring, understanding and were there to answer any questions I had or when I pushed the button for help. They made those 8 hours of labor pleasant. Cheryl was with me through it all! Very nice and supportive lady. I wish I got all the nurses names but obviously I was not in the right state of mind to be starting conversations. Dr. Khalifa delivered my baby boy. Also Michelle and Laura were great! Not sure which department they are from... Linda and Gloria from the Pediatric department were wonderful. Overall my husband and I had a beautiful experience, my newborn baby was well taken care of and everyone was so welcoming, nice and helpful. I also loved (as a Catholic) )that they offer ( I asked) if we could have someone go into our room to say a prayer with us. The environment was clean and they also assisted my husband with snacks, pillows and blankets because it was freezing in there! Thank you staff at St. Mary's in Long Beach for such a wonderful experience!

Had to call radiology 8/6 because my doctor had yet to receive the report. As of 8/14 they still haven't received the report. This is not the first time trying to get results. Glad he wasn't being tested for cancer he'd probably die waiting for results. If you ask why I keep returning to a hospital that I am not satisfied with it's because Dignity Health does not allow for choices, they force us to come to their facilities as en employee unless of course we'd like to pay and arm and a leg and go elsewhere. St. Mary's staff was great at the visit, it's just poor follow through, mostly with Radiology! Now will you send the report to his doctor's office????

Today, fryday, June 26, 2026. It definitely was an overwhelming but beautiful experience, and your patience, reassurance, and expertise made all the difference. Don't let the building fool you. The quality of doctors is impressive. I have also been a patient at Cedar Sinai the difference is all my doctors at st Mary's know my name, they know my condition, and they are researching to find a solution. At Cedar it's cold and the bed side manner is lacking. If you ask a question you feel like a bother. At st Mary's they are glad you care enough to ask and eager to assist. All the doctors are great but here are some favorites Dr. Farjami, most patient soft spoken guy in the building. Always resourceful and when he delivers bad news, doesn't sound so bad. Dr Paniker an up and coming bad a$$ in his field. Gives his opinion based on data and can't sleep until he fixes things. Super smart St Mary's should probably give him a raise and special parking to keep him. He is more than his fabulous hair. Then Dr Li and her whole team, awesomeness. They bring it always pulling my blood clots before they kill me. Greatly appreciated!! Anyway don't do fancy CHOOSE LIFE GO TO ST MARYS.

I was given a referral to see an ancillary provider three weeks ago and I'm still waiting to hear that someone actually received the referral. if they ever do I expect several days of back-and-forth phone calls, messaging and long wait times on hold to find out if an appointment is actually available The last 2 times I connected with the staff to refer a question to the doctor( staff whose specific job is to coordinate between me and the doctor.) I waited over two weeks despite multiple follow up calls and still had to hound them to get some kind of response. The doctor is in the office only once or possibly twice a week and forget anyone being able to contact her any other time. Except when I am speaking, face-to-face with the doctor once a month, or with the med techs in irvine who do scans and blood draws, I feel like a widget. The outcome of cancer treatment has been proven to correlate with the quality of relationship to the "providers. ". So, City Of Hope, excellent care?

The doctor (Dr. Patel) was very nice and friendly and I would highly recommend. I had to get an X-Ray and that took almost an hour. I don't know if it was because of the holiday but they were short staffed. I also realized that the X-Ray was common between the Urgent Care and the regular clinic, which made it very crowded and slow. They need to make getting an X-Ray more efficient. 5 Stars for the doctor, 4 stars for the staff, 2 stars for X-Ray.

Please avoid this location, though. My first visit years ago was unremarkable, but a recent visit in early August was a nightmare. First, the nurse checking me in insisted I could only be seen for one symptom, and her manner brought me to tears. I was experiencing about seven symptoms over 10 days. She was extremely rude, and then noted that my heart rate was high -- yes, because she was stressing me out with her unprofessional attitude. I've never encountered an urgent care that insists on treating only one symptom. I asked her to listen to all seven and then decide which was most urgent to document. It later turned out I was having an allergic reaction to an antibiotic -- I had noted a rash as one of my symptoms. I saw Dr. Hanser, who described my rash as looking like "sun exposure" but said he suspected an allergic reaction. He had me tested for viruses. He did not land on considering it an allergic reaction nor treat me for that. Later that day, the rash spread across my entire body, and I had to go to a different urgent care the next day to get steroids. The difference in quality of care I received at the Westminster MemorialCare location was like night and day. The nurse listened to my situation and noted that as cause of visit. The doctor showed true concern and empathy. Given how dismissive both the nurse and the doctor were here, in their own ways--please avoid this Bellflower location.
