This is a mixed review . . . First I will give an overview, then I will review the customer service, and lastly, I will review the technicians that have been to our home. Firstly, I have been a Windstream DSL and Land-line customer for many (20+) years. I signed up back in the day for a special lifetime price deal, my internet and phone service were supposed to stay the same price for life. I noticed some years ago, that the price kept creeping higher and higher, but I couldn't find my original contract, so now I am stuck with very high prices. It's so high, in fact, that sometimes I think about cancelling, and just sticking with my mobile phone, but in my rural area, the mobile signal is very poor, so I need the land-line and DSL internet (even though the internet isn't that fast, it's faster than a mobile phone with only one bar). Phone Customer Service . . . When you call the number for customer service, you used to get a local person that knew what they were talking about, and would get you fixed up. Now, you get some call center, probably in a foreign country, because they sometimes don't speak English very well, and don't always understand you. Sometimes you get someone who is able to create a trouble ticket for you, and sometimes you get someone who spends twenty minutes going round and round, and in the end says I'll transfer you to someone else that doesn't help you, or says that someone will return your call (they don't return the calls). Also if you call and get a recording and leave a message, they don't return your call either. It can be very frustrating. Lastly, I have been 100% satisfied with our two local technicians, Bob and Bobby (No relation). They have been out to our house to fix our internet and no dial tone problems three times in the last few months. They were always able to get things up and running on the day they arrive. The second to last visit, they told me that the wiring going into our home was the most likely culprit as to why we were having problems, so we rescheduled a day, at my convenience, where they would come out and do that. They arrived at or before the scheduled time, and got the job done, quickly and professionally. I have nothing but good things to say about Bob and Bobby, FIVE STARS to them . . . Cheers!! As for customer support . . . one star review . . . and a big fat Jeers!! There is lots of room for improvement in this company, and I hope that they get it together, because there isn't a lot of choice out here in the country for phone service. read more

I have never dealt with a company like Kinetic that has such poor customer service. When I originally ordered my new service I was billed twice for $67.30. My bank has written a letter that I have sent to Proof. com and also to Investigation. com. I am now told to contact my bank and treat this as a fraud charge. Intermittent internet for the last 3 months have had three technicians out fine for a week then goes back to whenever it wants to work But here's the best part I call once again bc internet is acting up again I'm at my wits end at this point but they proceed to tell me my account is suspended however I have a 0.00! Never had such bad service in my entire life, since beginning of June I have been constantly losing wifi, it will start going in and out that some days it works and some it doesn't and then all the sudden it won't work at all. You have to call 3 or 4 times before they will even do anything or open a ticket to send someone out and that usually takes close to a week to get someone out to you if not longer, they will get it fixed for a couple days and then the process starts all over again. Since beginning of June I've probably been without wifi for about 3 weeks so why am I even paying for it! read more

Salespeople are scam artists who lie and make promises you'll never get the company to keep. Was promised a low rate, which I had to call twice to get them to adhere to. Then was promised a $200 gift card, and 5 different representatives gave me 5 different answers on why it never arrived. Escalated to corporate, and still no gift card. Horrible customer service, lying representatives, terrible business practices. After 6 months of not getting my gift card, I told them to credit it to my account. The EXACT moment all the credits are gone, I will be cancelling my service with them and going back to spectrum. I will also be contacting neighbors I know who signed up at the same time, and seeing if they've had similar experiences, if so, I may be contacting a lawyer. read more
