Upon placing a reservation online for a larger unit I was called and told only smaller units were…read moreavailable. I decided to see if that size would work and reserved the unit. When arriving a week later to check into the unit none of the info from the reservation was in the system. After sorting that out I was able to check into the unit. I only ended up needing it for one month and upon checking out I discovered someone had broken glass in the hallway and pieces had slid under the door and into my unit. This occurred after hours and I did not bring my broom back as I had already swept the unit and just came to pickup a few large items. I removed all the glass from inside the unit. When I called to notify that I had vacated the unit I forgot to mention the glass in the hall. Now a week later I receive a check for my returned security deposit that has been deducted $10 for a sweeping fee. I was not notified of the charge before receiving the check and the fee was not identified on the paperwork. I had to call to find out what it was reduced. The conversation on the phone involved several different stories as to how the unit was swept out and who accomplished the work. Bottom line is that they will keep your money if they can and to me a comment like "it's only a $10 cleaning fee" speaks volumes about how they value their customers.
