I have given Dr. Starkman and his entire staff a 5 star review simply - because they simply deserve it!
First , you should know, that I am terrified of all dentist's, in fact, I would rather eat glass than have to go to one but it necessary no matter how terrified one is. In my 60+ years of going to different dentists', one stand out in my mind as being the best dentist around. His office is pleasant, his staff are friendly and everyone is very punctual and I am a real bug about that - time is money for all concerned.
My most recent visits with Dr. Starkman was due to his replacing a 10 tooth bridge and through all the numerous visits to his office, it stood out in my mind how compassionate and caring he is. One "wince" of the eye and he stops what he is doing and asks what's wrong. Throughout the whole process you know and feel that he has your best interests at heart and that is a lot to say about a dentist. He promised me that my bridge would be done for Christmas and it was - I never doubted that for a moment! I am still getting used to the bridge because I look different, but the bridge is awesome! I feel comfortably smiling and the entire procedure was a good one -- considering I am probably his worst patient. But. as long as he keeps a huge supply of Novocaine for me, I almost look forward to him working on my lower teeth!
Recently I read in the Albany Times Union, that a patient was released from an area hospital and when he returned home, they found that his teeth were missing. The hospital said that all personal items were released to his wife, yet his teeth were not there. Dr. Starkman stood up to the plate and made dentures for the man. This gesture was so kind and decent, it made be proud that Dr. Starkman is my dentist. read more
