I often felt…read morelike I was a number and a source of revenue rather than a patient going through one of the most emotional and difficult experiences of my life. The communication and patient care were very poor. I frequently had to explain my history and what I needed in almost every message, and I often had to follow up multiple times just to get a response. The nurses also frequently appeared unhappy or frustrated, which made an already stressful experience even more difficult. Blood draws were often unnecessarily painful, and I had multiple negative experiences with different nurses. The most devastating issue involved my husband's frozen sperm. My husband previously had testicular cancer, and the sperm samples stored at the clinic represented the only sperm we had available. Despite this extremely important information being in our medical history, all of his stored sperm samples were used without us being properly informed. We now have no sperm remaining. This is something we can never get back, and the fact that we were not adequately informed and that our file apparently was not properly reviewed is incredibly difficult to accept. We retrieved 18 eggs and used 7 of my husband's sperm samples and ultimately ended up with only one embryo. We paid for PGT testing. The result came back stating that no DNA was detected. After the embryo transfer, I unfortunately suffered a miscarriage. To determine whether the embryo had a chromosomal abnormality, we needed genetic testing on the sample collected after the miscarriage. This became another extremely frustrating experience. The order for the genetic testing was apparently never properly sent to the laboratory/clinic. My sample was stored for weeks without the testing being completed, and I had to repeatedly follow up with the clinic and with Dr. Karande to find out what was happening. I contacted them several times trying to get answers, while feeling like I was once again having to fight to get someone to take care of something that should have been handled properly from the beginning. Almost two months later, we finally received the results. The results showed Trisomy 15. This was devastating. We were originally told that the PGT result was "no DNA detected," and yet we ultimately learned through testing of the miscarriage tissue that the embryo had Trisomy 15. Had the appropriate genetic testing been properly completed in the first place, we could have had important information about the embryo before proceeding. Patients deserve careful attention to their medical history, clear communication, transparency about what is happening with their eggs, sperm, embryos, and testing, accurate testing, and compassionate follow-up. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering fertility treatment to do extensive research and consider other clinics before choosing Invia Fertility. If I could go back and make the decision again, I would choose another clinic. I wish I had known then what I know now.

She was able to help me get into a doctor for testing asap and called around to help schedule even when they were full to capacity with patients. Of all my years and those of practices I have been to-I have never felt so helped and appreciated. She not only was helpful but so accompdating and empathetic. I literally love her and am so thankful for her going the extra mile. I went into the office had my exam. All the doctors, nurses and staff were amazing. It is a far drive from my house but was worth every minute of the commute. So happy with them and would recommend to anyone looking for anythoe of fertility care. They offer a wide array of services. Recently at my annual appointment I was waiting to use the restroom which faces the support staff cubicles. The wait was rather long as there is only one restroom. I had the "privilege" of overhearing how they feel about their clients. "Oh, I hate the perimenopause ones- IM FAT AND HAVE SYMPTOMS BUT I DONT WANT TO GO ON MEDICATION AND GAIN MORE WEIGHT". "THE NEWBIE GYNES ARE SO CUTE WITH THEIR STIs." I was stunned. I went to the restroom, came out, and Dr. Plawyer's nurse was waiting for me. I told her of the incident and she said "I'm sorry to hear that" and then went over my med list and medical history while I'm on the verge of tears. I finally stood up and said "I'm leaving." I did receive a voicemail apologizing and saying it was addressed. However, as a nurse for the past 10 years I understand on a deeper level that the comfort they felt talking about patients at work indicates a culture of not respecting their patients. When we go to the doc we want to feel heard, be taken seriously, and be met with empathy and assistance. I no longer believe this happens at this clinic. Find a clinic that doesn't mock their patients.

Midwest Center means nothing other than a common name, like going to a Shell gas station, one has nothing to do with another. Took me multiple requests, over a period of more than 3 years to get my medical records transferred to my new doctor, which were finally transferred as of this year, 2025. Good Lord. I was nervous to switch at 24 weeks pregnant, but made the plunge after a friend recounted their experience. This was the BEST decision I could have made for my pregnancy and labor/delivery. It was evident from my first visit that all of these professionals are deeply passionate about what they do. The receptionists were so friendly and welcoming; they always remembered who I was, and greeted me warmly upon my arrival. The nurses were so gentle and sweet, and I felt that they truly cared for me and my well being. I cannot say enough wonderful things about all of the midwives on staff. Each midwife proved to be an expert in her field. They all showed kindness and compassion for me, and were invested in my experience throughout the process. They all spent a considerable amount of time with me for each appointment to ensure all my questions were addressed, and that I felt comfortable and at ease. When it came time to deliver, the midwife on call was PHENOMENAL; she exceeded all of my expectations. It felt as though she didn't leave my side for the full 36 hours, although at some point she managed to deliver 4 other babies. Being a first time mom, she was very patient with me and explained things thoroughly as I progressed. I felt like we were a team, and that I was in full control of the process. I was looking for a practice that would allow for a low intervention birth, and I found it here with NSAGO. I felt safe that, should I become high risk at any time, the team would have the tools to ensure a smooth delivery, all the way up to a C-section if necessary. Thanks to the expertise of my team, I was able to deliver vaginally. I can say with certainty that this would not have been the same experience had I stayed with my former practice of OBs. Sep 9, 2022Previous review After being a patient in this practice, long before it became MCWHC, like two decades long, my previous doctors retired, one after the other. Since the changes in doctors in this office, that for me began this year, it was a nightmare to get an appointment, no one seemed to know who was where and when. Had a procedure scheduled for March and received a call 3 days prior regarding the meds and was told that the procedure needed to be pre-paid, even though I have very good insurance. Was 'allowed' to make arrangements since I hadn't been notified and providing that I pay a portion up front. Subsequent billing to my insurance company was submitted with my name reading two different ways and insurance company processed the claims as two different people with two different deductibles. While in direct contact with the billing department, it took me 4 months to get it straight with the insurance company. All along, I continued to make monthly payments since I didn't originally know where the fault lay. Once I discovered it was the bill submissions that caused the errors and delay in payment, the claims were corrected by the insurance company. The very same day that I receive the corrected statement from insurance, I received a voice mail that I was being sent to collection. I returned the call and told them to do whatever they felt was necessary. Not one time did I receive an apology for the months of agony dealing with the insurance company that had to go through every single claim from every single provider this year to resolve the issue. The billing department of MCWHC further claimed that I had not made a payment since March when, in fact, I had paid over $800 while all of this was happening. After receiving nonsense responses from billing, telling me where to look on their website but in no way providing confirmation of my payments, I finally began sending emails directly to Dr. Clear to no avail. My emails have gone completely ignored. Last communication I had with her was that she was going to reach out to my oncology gyne for a consult and get back to me, that's right, oncology. Never heard another word. Maybe I am dying, I guess I won't know from Dr. Clear. The last email I sent to Dr. Clear, I made it clear that no response is a response. After reading all of the complaints here on Yelp, I could not agree more with the rudeness of the billing office and the office staff. They could care less about your health, they are all in for the money. I told Dr. Clear that it is unfortunate that she and others came into a practice that was built long and hard by others that they are destroying day by day. Very sad. Please go somewhere else as I am.

There were several…read moreinstances where I experienced poor communication, mistakes, and lack of accountability from this Northbrook office. Firstly, I was never contacted by a provider with my first test results for my pregnancy until I reached out to your office myself. This lack of internal communication was concerning and made me feel like my health was not a priority. Secondly, I had a concerning issue with my thyroid that I asked to be tested for, but it was forgotten during my lab work. I had to come back to the office for another blood test and was charged for an additional visit, even though it was your mistake. No one took accountability or even apologized until I came in person to talk. Thirdly, I had billing issues with your office charging me twice for a bill I had already paid. It took me weeks to get it resolved, and it caused a lot of unnecessary stress. Additionally, it was difficult for me to reach a provider as I had to convince the front desk to leave a message for the doctor since there was no other way to contact them. Overall, I do not recommend your practice as I felt like I was just another business transaction and not a person. I am leaving your practice to find better patient care that values communication, accountability, and patient needs.

Fraudulent Charges!!…read more On February 24, we sent a message to a doctor who helped our son with a broken finger. We sent the message to check whether we could cancel a follow-up visit that seemed unnecessary to us, and the doctor replied that it would be fine to cancel. A few days later, we received a bill for sending that message. In all the years we have used Endeavor, we have never been charged for sending messages. And nowhere on the web portal does it indicate that customers will be charged for sending a message to their doctor. I called Endeavor and a representative said this is a new policy. I explained that we were never charged before, and there is no indication anywhere on the site that we would be charged for sending a message, but the representative said the charge stands. I have lodged complaints with various state agencies, and have left reviews detailing this unethical behavior. This is terrible, awful service that only encourages patients NOT to reach out to their doctors with concerns.

The problem according to BC is Ravine's coding is incorrect. Despite monthly contacts with Ravine, they have been unable to correct their coding problems. And they refuse to refund my $2500 despite y procedure being 100% covered.
