    Lab results for tincture.

Feel free to only read the last three paragraphs. Today I was walking by and noticed a sign on the store stating "Voted Best CBD in Milwaukee Two Years in a Row!" I love CBD (in fact, I have a CBD molecule tattoo), so of course I had to stop in and see what's what. First impressions- there was a lot of hipster, CBD adjacent items. Crystals, jewelry, purses, etc. It's a big store, so there was a large CBD and D8 section as well. Personally, the number one thing I'm interested in is CBD flower. It's full spectrum, extremely bioavailable, and fast-acting. Despite the huge store, there was only two CBD flower options. They had names, CBD percentage, and nothing else- no price tag, no strain information, sativa vs. indica dominant. I asked if there were sativas or indicas and the employee said hybrids. Yeah, I figured, that's how 99.9% of cannabis is, but which way do they lean? He did give me a free CBD joint, which was pretty nice. I then asked the employee to tell me about the gummies. He said they were made in house (cool!) and how containers are 40 ct of 25 mgs each. Still no price, and none on the shelves. Actually, I don't think I saw a single price tag while I was there. The employee was definitely friendly, but based on the way he talked, I got the impression that most people who come in know nothing about CBD (you'll see why that might matter.) I picked up a CBD massage oil of their very own brand, Kind Oasis. I flipped it all around, trying to figure out how many mgs of CBD were in it. Nothing. It didn't tell me anything about the amount of CBD in it, and it didn't have a QR code or website linking it to a lab report. The fact that it didn't say how much CBD is in it is SUSPICIOUS. I left feeling uneasy. I quickly went onto their website to look for their lab reports. Thankfully, they were there. Unfortunately for them, their own numbers say it all. First, I looked at the product "CBD Full Spectrum Gummies 25mg" for $49. With 40 gummies, this should mean that there are 1,000 mgs of CBD in the entire bottle. Next, I went to the lab results at the bottom of the page of their website. I clicked on "Full Spectrum Results" under "Kind Oasis Gummies". It states clear as day (it's not a secret!) that the total CBD content is 0.765%, or 27.011 mgs. In the ENTIRE BOTTLE. That's about 1/37th the amount advertised. Seriously, look for yourself. I thought maybe I got something wrong, so I went and checked the tincture. First option- "Kind Oasis CBD Oil Tinctures", blood orange flavored, $59, clearly stating there are 1500 mgs in the bottle. Then, under "Kind Oasis Oil Tinctures" on the lab results page, I clicked "Blood Orange Results" (the first link of Blood Orange Results seemed to be dated the most recent). Under weight, it said it was 1.5007 grams. The report also says it contains 52.030 mg/g, and 5.203%. Which means the entire bottle contained 78 mgs of CBD as opposed to the 1,500 mgs advertised. Oh, and it wasn't tested for pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, residual solvents, filth, water activity, moisture, or terpenes. Some test. The supplement industry, legally including CBD, has virtually no regulation. People will try to rip you off. Sadly, this company is a scam. They should be ashamed. Please, please, please read the lab reports of the company you buy from BEFORE you buy. They tell on themselves. (Btw, if you want a good non-smokable CBD, check out Seabedee. And read the lab reports.)

I happened to find myself in Kind Oasis for a yoga session with Collective MKE and I was floored by how much this store has to offer. I have tried their CBD gummies and they certainly make my stressful days better. They have CBD in all forms and fashions (CBD infused drinks are a must try). They also have plants, local holiday gifts, books and everything in between. The staff is super friendly and helps you navigate through the different products. Please give this business a visit when you're in Milwaukee, they also have Makers Markets once a quarter.

I have never been here when it isn't busy, but it is easy to get through and is very clean. I always find something new every time I am here and it is fun to come with a group to try all the different kinds of foods. Also, I always hit up the Spice House and come home with a new, weird blend that I ration until I come again. Try the Vulcan Fire Salt!

Compared to other public markets we've visited, it felt much smaller, with roughly 30 or so vendors and food stalls to explore. Parking was also a hassle and added to the frustration of the visit. Once inside, one thing that stood out was how often we were reminded that the market would be closing soon. While we understood the closing time and weren't trying to stay past it, multiple reminders from different vendors made us feel a bit rushed as we looked around. There were some interesting food and shopping options, and it's worth a quick stop if you're already in the area. However, based on our experience, it didn't quite live up to the hype and wasn't as impressive as other public markets we've visited.
