I must say, I wasn't entirely impressed with this At Home location. We normally go to the…read moreGreenfield store, but were in the area (and in search of some holiday decor) so decided to stop by this one. The store itself is very clean and well-kept, but I felt like the selection was really slacking. Tons of shelves and section were completely empty. And many items they did have seemed on the cheap side. However I will say my kiddos were very enthralled with the giant (and I mean GIANT) blow up lawn decor selection. Santa, snowmen, Grinch, rudolph and more. Definitely come here if these are what you're after. In general though, this maybe just not the spot for holiday shopping for me, and instead referring here for more general home-needs. Pillows, furniture, lamps, rugs, frames, organizers... the list goes on. They're also fairly well-priced on most items!

It is their business and they can do as they like. But sheesh. That is exhausting and a waste of time In an effort to avoid the absolute zoo process and a sore back this time I went later in the day and followed other people into the warehouse area. I started looking around when I realize I'm being shouted at and told I "can't be in here." The other ladies were left to shop as they liked. There was no, oh we are so sorry but we have closed this part of the store. I said, there is literally a sign hanging that says "open" I asked if I didn't read the sign correctly, from what I read on the door they were open for well over another hour. I was told that's for the rest of the store. Alright. Not a problem. I left rather disappointed, not so much that I couldn't shop, but disappointed that I was left feeling a little startled from being told I couldn't be there. I had no idea that was about to hit me. I was just looking at glassware. Rather jarring. Also. Why did the three ladies in front of me not get shouted at? I was completely reasonable, polite, and I apologized for not realizing that one part of the store wasn't open (people were still in there actively shopping) but I was made to feel like I was being scolded, singled out, and not treated very well. Where's the harm in being nice or polite? If you plan to shop there: I appreciate they have an unusual process of pricing it after you carry it as you wait in line for quite a while. I understand that can take forever. But seriously, not everyone has the ability to hold stuff for that long. And yes they sometimes have a few baskets but not enough. If it wasn't so physically difficult to to carry stuff in line for quite a while, I wouldn't have gone later to try to miss the line and actually be able to buy things without clutching it so long that my back gets sore. If you go in summer, bring water. It gets very hot and it can take quite a while. If you do plan to go here, even in the main store area, bring a flashlight, a really strong big one., it's truly exceptionally dim. Quite a bit in a back room in the store is totally unpriced. In the store, imho the furniture is often priced a bit ambitiously. But I guess good for them if they can sell it.

5-star update in order. On yet another great bike visit to Cedarburg, I found myself enjoying…read moreBohemia's selection of makers' goods, art, jewelry & decor more than my last pop-in. While many of the makers' goods are familiar to me from fairs in Milwaukee, seeing them all in one place is a testament to relationship building, good curation and great service. Loved the selection of hand-poured soaps, candles & scents from Modern Makers Bath & Provisions, and bought several of those for myself and for gifts. Bohemia also stocks that great Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan. Make Bohemia a destination while enjoying all that Cedarburg has to offer!

They have a grapefruit mint candle that is natural and smells refreshing, and I wanted to get that again. When we arrived, it was about 20 minutes prior to closing, but we decided to go in for a quick looksee. I pay attention to customer service and if the vibe is welcoming and this visit it was NOT! We did not get a hello or welcome. When paying for my candle, the owner said hello, my total, and asked me to punch in my card pin. Honestly, it felt as if we were stepping on toes for entering their shop close to closing. We weren't the last customers in the shop, and we were left the store 10 minutes prior to closing. When we left, the owner immediately ran outside and pulled in her sign and closed the door. My friend and I both talked about how unwelcomed we felt, and unfortunately, we decided we will not be coming back here. It has nothing to do with the items inside the shop, but it is a crummy feeling when you want to support a small business but are left feeling rushed and unappreciated.
