Repaired my favorite RL jacket that had a tear around the pocket, and a pair of lulu joggers with a split in a seam. Super affordable and can hardly tell it was repaired. 10/10 read more

they tried to rip us off and when we said no to a few dresses and then they threw a temper tantrum and wouldn't do all the other clothes we'd spent over an hour trying on. so unprofessional do not go here. read more

Paid when I dropped off my items. At pickup they said I didn't pay, so I had to pay a second time to get my stuff back. Had been a repeat customer, won't be back. read more

Do not recommend! Hems came out of two pencil skirts after one wash. Sides were taken in and I can see through the stitching. I requested them to be tapered in and they weren't. Just a huge waste of time and money. I now have to take them somewhere else to fix the hems that came out and never got a refund. read more

my wife and I have been going to Kim for over 20 years. I made two mistakes I did not try on the slacks as I picked them up. The other I paid in cash $70. I purchased five brand new pairs of slacks and had him alter to length. They are too short as I brought them back to him 10 days later. He denied he ever did the alterations. Long story short we will never be back. read more

I have taken several Items to this Tailor and everything has come out perfect. From a pants, to a torn favorite shirt, to cuffs on a jacket and straps on a dress. They can do it quickly and perfectly. They are friendly and helpful eager to please. The cost is very affordable. The only Draw back would be they don't accept credit cards. So make sure you have cash or a check on you. read more

My golly, I've been going to Kim's tailor shop for over 20 years. It's always been located in the Carrollwood shopping center by the old Publix, but it has moved from the front to the back of the side strip center. The owner is one heck of a nice man and has always treated me with the utmost respect. I went in once with a wardrobe malfunction and had to hide out the dressing room while they did an emergency repair on what I was wearing so I could present myself in public again. No judgements ,no words of wisdom, just kindness. Kim's was as good today as it was twenty years ago. Today I realized, my special Vera Wang hand-painted shirt that cost me a fortune had ripped down the side for no reason. So of course I took it to Kim's to have it repaired prior to washing it or having any more damage done. No problem it'll be ready in a couple of days and it'll be just like new and, I have no problems or worries whatsoever. Kim's tailor shop has done excellent and quality work for me for over 20 years and I respect them and expect the consistent quality workmanship. What's a girl to do? Well you go where you know and when you spend too much for something you love you make sure you take it somewhere where you know they'll love it and take good care of it. read more

Great tailor very pleasant lady who works there also I take all my alterations and suits there

I have gone to Kim's Tailor shop over the past 11 years and have always been 100% satisfied with his work. He has done the impossible for me when I found a dress I loved but was a size 10 to a size 4-6 matching all the prints and patterns I did not know it could be done but he did it. He has taken in dresses, skirts, pants, resized a bathing suit top and now my wedding dress etc. etc. and it's always been perfect I cannot recommend him enough if I could I would give him 10 stars A+ read more

Talk about perfect! He came out- measured my daughter in her graduation dress- gave us a return date and a perfectly reasonable price- it was perfect! read more

He is professional and well priced! Quick turn around times if needed. Found my local tailor!

I dropped off pants to have the waist taken in and the leg. I brought a pair of pants as a template and he measured the waist and legs. Unfortunately, I had my son pick them up and he didn't check them until he got home. I go back and he says by just looking at them that I didn't ask for the waist to be taken in. I ask him to look at the receipt, so we can see if he did or didn't write down the waist and he then tells me that takes too long. He has lost a customer. Terrible business man. Liar. read more

Great work here. Several people in the office use this shop, so I decided to try it out. Cannot believe he was able to take my pants and remember who I was when I picked up. I got no tag with a number or anything, but when I returned, my pants were repaired and ready to go. Looking forward to returning. read more

Wonderful place for your tailoring needs. Excellent prices, too. Have had a number of things taken in after getting to new size.

I brought in a pair of jean shorts that needed to have the zipper replaced. After waiting a week I picked up my shorts. A few days later I wore my shorts and the zipper was NOT replaced. Not a happy customer! read more

excellent tailoring every time. you can't even tell it was done and the fit is perfect. love this tailor!

I brought two dresses and two pairs of pants here on the recommendation of a friend, as my usual tailor is aging and her work is no longer what it used to be. I was helped quickly and the work was completed when promised. I initially thought the work was a little pricey, but I've been spoiled by my regular tailor who grossly undercharges me. When I picked up my items and tried them on, I could see it was worth every penny. My dresses fit like a glove and the pants were hemmed perfectly. I can see why they've been in business so long. Two thumbs up! 5/3/18- I want to add that Mr. Kim is not only a fantastic tailor, but a very honest man! My husband dropped a new designer suit off for alterations last week. He paid in advance (as is customary here, at least for us) and didn't realize until later that day Mr. Kim had shorted him $10 in change. My husband called and let Mr. Kim know and when we returned this week to pick up the suit $10 was waiting for us. Beyond that, the fit on my husband's suit went from just OK to impeccable. Mr. Kim is now the only person I trust to touch my clothes! read more

I've been coming to Kim's for years. I bring all of my clothes here and the work is excellent every time. The people are always pleasant and always able to accommodate things I need done quickly. I've brought suits, dresses and pants. All quality work at a reasonable price. read more

This was my first time at Kim's and I'm very happy with the quick efficient service I received. I came to get a bridesmaid dress hemmed and forgot the heels I would wear. He provided shoes of the approximate heel length to get the measurements without me having to leave and return. I came a month ahead of the wedding, just in case he needed more time, but he promised it back in a week. Plus, the price is GREAT! Much less than what I expected, and what I know other friends have paid elsewhere. read more

I have an Anuschka purse. The strap pulled out of the corner and I to9k it in for repair. I paid $7 cash. I was not in a hurry so was ready 2 days later. Purse looks perfect! Like it was never broken! Awesome leather work. They are cash only, no cards and you pay when work done. read more

My purse strap broke so I stopped to get it fixed at the closest place I could find. They took it immediately and it was ready within 30 min. It was fixed so well that If I hadn't already known the purse strap broke I wouldn't have been able to tell. I am very happy read more

Mr. Kim is truly a master. There is nothing he can't fix!!! Three generations of my family get everything tailored here. In addition to the basics, he can alter suits, gowns, difficult fabrics, etc. and make it look original. Really, really amazing work. Very reasonable for basic alterations, too! And worth the price for the harder stuff. I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

I have been to quite a few tailors in Tampa Bay, and this is the best shop, bar none. They can do anything you ask of them, and they always seem to remember that they work for YOU. That quality alone sets them apart from any other shop in town, and on top of that, they charge REASONABLE prices. I would recommend this shop to anybody. They are the BEST!!! read more
