I got a dip manicure two weeks ago. A week later, the polish chipped leading to my whole nail breaking off. I have been growing my nails out for months, but due to the chipped polish, one nail broke off and I had to replace it with a fake nail. I went back to get it fixed and they gave me a few nail colors to look at to match with my original color. They did not help with the color matching at all, so I ended up with the wrong color because I chose the closest one from the options they gave me. They also didn't match the shape of my new nail with the original ones very well. A week later, my nails are already lifting and broken off. They rush through the appointment even when not busy. I have had good and bad experiences at this salon, but I should not be paying $50 for a dip manicure to not last more than two weeks. read more

I got my lashes done here they came off I paid $70 fir them I had an event the next day the lashes start coming off I had to go get them redone else where. I mention it to the owner who told me she will redo them just don't come on Friday or Saturday because they will be busy. However, I came to the nail shop to get my nails rep polish and ask for her to redo them but when I got to the room to have them done, she wanted to give me the $35 lashes after I pay $70 for the ones that came off she tells me that $70 Lashes don't steal on me and it's existing on She was doing me a favor then tell me we don't do refunds I didn't ask for a refund. They do not listen when you ask for certain colors on your nails/ This is the third time. They do not tell you the price of anything until it's time to pay and expect you to pay for nails you didn't ask for . They did t even put matte polish on top of the acrylic for matte nails. Kim is super sweet but the new staff she has hired have ATTITUDES out of this world.The lady who I've been getting lately Are very rude and unfriendly and they rush your set. My nails have been looking patchy & i get gel so there's no reason for that. Also the small chubby feminine man who does pedicures is VERY RUDE. Bad Bad business! i've had several complaints I should've never came back the second time after the first time getting a pedicure the girl scraped the side of my feet so bad I couldn't walk on them for over a week and the one that did my nails messed them up so bad and Kim herself had to fix them and told me not to discuss my nails with any of the other customers?? I called them asked how much a full set of acrylics would be, they said 40$ I went in got the most mediocre acrylic set I have ever received, they did not even cut my actual nails down before placing the tips on, or even push back my cuticles. Worker was very rude the entire time he also kept rubbing his mask after he sneezed to i guess clean his nostrils, very gross. This is a terrible place. They reuse pedicure tools and don't soak off your dip entirely to make a new set. I was rushed through everything. My nails are not all the same shape and the new dip wasn't blended properly with the old dip. The polish is bulky and not the color I chose but the tech decided to use it anyway. 2.5 stars. The atmosphere is nice, but my nails were so messy! I got gel polish $20+ and the girst time the woman who polished them didnt go all the way up to my cuticle so it was obvious that i had chucks so nail that werent polished & large air bubbles under my gel. I went back in and told her my nails needed to be neater, she said she couldnt because i needed a manicure... i had a manicure 1 week ago... she still said i needed one... she did another coat, its slightly better but still messy. They seemed used to people having to go back in and complain. Nails should just look better than this when professionally done. The last picture is after.. its still messily applied to my cuticle & they didnt really car about making my nails look the best... i left with cured gel all over the skin on my fingers & in such a dark color its unacceptable. read more

Customer service is real unpleasant. The nail techs don't want to be told if they hurting you are if they did something wrong. They can do good nails if they don't rush. Their pedicure tech ( the one who did my feet) need to retire because she rushed and didn't give me the pedicure my money was worth. Other than that Kim nails in Hammond La Will not receive my money. Oh, if you are a new customer and the real good nail techs are doing your nails and a customer they know comes in. They will stop or rush you to take care of them. My nails seemed like they never dried and are still messing up days after going. It's literally only been 3 days and the corners of all my nails are chipping away and the entire polish job is messy. The nails are done pretty most of the time but they do not last at all! They will come off within a week wayyy before your refill is due. I went in there, no longer than a week had passed, and told them my issue and they offered to do another set at a discounted price. So my current set was just trash and basically lost out on my money just to be charged again. That was my last and final time going there. read more

My experience was great! Walked in and was able to get serviced immediately the ambience was nice and chill and the music was nice as well. I got a gel polish full set and a basic pedicure with gel polish. They offer plenty of options and styles and designs, and there's plenty of polish to choose from!! I also got my eyebrows waxed which i am ALWAYS hesistant about, but they turned out great and still look good - this was about a week ago. I was out in no time! Being so that i am from Atlanta, its hard to find a new nail salon. So far, so good! I will be returning to Kim's Nails. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would! My daughter went here to have shellac taken off and reapplied, it turned out to be an absolutely horrific encounter. The shellac was not properly removed. They ripped it off! This is supposed to be soaked off! She has a bleeding nail from this as well. It is appalling to have licensed professionals doing this to anyone. It goes to show that these people do not care about their clients. Just getting people in and out to make as much money in a day as they can! Disgusting! I have gone here as a regular customer for quite some time now, and over the past 6 months the service has been unpleasant and less appealing. A nail salon is supposed to be a pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable experience. That is why women go. I kept going back, thinking its "post COVID", it's just an "off day", "they're just busy", etc., but for the past 4 times, I have felt very unwelcomed, and the last time I got very, very unacceptable treatment. They do not communicate with the customers while you're there. Some of the workers appear to be in sleep clothes from having just gotten out of bed. I was shifted around from person to person. One visit I literally had 5 different people work on me bc they just kept switching. My final visit there, a little over a month ago, the lady that did my pedicure is always so nice and she does talk. I do not know her name. Toward the end of my pedicure that she was doing, another lady, whom I think is Ms Kim (the owner), spoke to her in their language, in what appeared to be fussing at her, and she immediately gathered her supplies and went to the next chair/person. Then, that lady that had spoken to her, came over and slopped the polish on my toes, leaving streaks and "holidays" as they say in painting. I said nothing about the dissatisfaction as I was directed to the nail chair. I tell them, EVERY single time, that the overlay my nails has to be SOAKED off bc my nails are already naturally very thin. That's why I do the overlay. For the past several visits, they insist on taking a nail tip and prying under the overlay to take it off. The time bf last, I left with my nails sore for days, but I, again, gave benefit of my doubt. But this time, the lady pried them off, with me jerking my hand back, telling her that it was hurting very bad. I again said they need to be soaked off. She continued on and I had 2 nails BLEEDING, one having been ripped off way back in the quick! I even said, "It is bleeding!" Then she said go wash your hands.... I picked up my purse, went to the front, paid, and told the receptionist that I would not be back and showed her that my nails were bleeding. She said I am sorry. Still to this day, my nails are not completely back to normal. They were torn and ripped off so badly that I have to wait for them to grow back out from being torn back into the quick, and now they're jagged and even thinner than normal due to my nails being ripped off. It was a very unpleasant and excruciating experience. I will never return there. I am usually not one to leave a negative review, but I did not want to do this while I was still so upset and angry. And, like I said earlier, I gave benefit of if the doubt and continued to return, but if it progressively gets worse, as it has, what will be next? Kim Nails, if you read this, please become more caring and considerate of your customers, or I am afraid that you will lose more and more customers. I have been looking for a place to get a pedicure done (I'm very picky with my toes) so I made an appt & I was taken in on time, the place was empty, and I was just so unsatisfied with the while experience. My appt was at 11 by 11:10 she was already painting my nails. I told her my toes hurt and if she could cut a little shorter, she replied with "you'll look crazy if it cut shorter & there's nothing there I checked already" & she also didn't even clean up my cuticles or put a top coat on my nails. Then i asked for my eyebrows to be done (there was 2 people ahead of me) when I realized they were all doing eyelashes I asked how long, she said "not that long" so I proceeded to pick up my stuff and start to leave when she called another tech to come and do my eyebrows, but they would've let me wait "not that long" if I hadn't asked. Needless to say, my toes hurt that very same day because she didn't properly cut my nails like I asked her to and my nails look like my pedicure is a month old. My eyebrows came out fine but I still wouldn't go back to this place. read more
