Before I hired Skip's Sprinklers, my lawn looked great. Yes, I had a few sprinkler heads that…read moreneeded replacing and I thought, maybe I should hire someone to do that. Somehow, they found 19 sprinkler heads that needed replacement (that's half of all the sprinkler heads that I have), then they quoted me $500 - $600. I agreed and provided them with some brand new heads that I had. They said all of my sprinkler heads, purchased from Home Depot, were faulty so they had to use their own. I offered to pay when the work was done, and they said "no, they will send you an invoice". When the invoice arrived, it was for nearly $1,000, nowhere near the quote I had received before the work began (can yiuy say rip off?). Here's the worst part, the sprinkler heads weren't aimed properly and I had 3 areas of grass that died. Guess what happened next, I refused to pay the invoice unless they fixed the problems and instead of fixing the issues, they sued me. Do business with Skip's at your own peril, or take their advice from the name of their website, just "Skipit".

They damage our shrubs, trees and turf on a regular basis, and I have yet to see them repair anything they damage. In winter, their trucks knock down street signs all over the development, damage curbs, and lawns with careless plowing. The picture below is of damage done to the lawn adjacent to my townhouse. The lawns are very obviously too saturated to use heavy equipment on but the Shwaders crews persist despite the damage they are doing.

My wife and I were looking to revamp the front of our house with some rock and plants. Also, we wanted to remove a dead tree and plant a new one that would grow and thrive. We had 7 different companies around our area in Maple Grove come and provide bids and JKR was by a significant amount better. Cost: Out of all 7, they were the best. They itemized in a detailed quote what they were charging me for and why. They also provided information about pros and cons of different rock, plants, and edging options so we could work within our budget. Service: Jay and his team were great. From the first day where they saw our location, they were cordial, informative and did not make my wife and I feel pressured. They took their time and worked with us. Provided recommendations that we then were able to research which was helpful. They kept us in the loop as to when they were coming, when they expected to finish and the one time they had to delay things, they informed us in advance so we could adjust. We have young kids and a dog and they even provided us with some stuff to watch out for when fertilizing our yard. Quality: We're happy with how things were done. Even provided my wife and I recommendations on how to ensure the plants thrive and that the rest of our yard does well. Overall: The cost, the quality, the way they communicated and treated us was excellent. We will not hesitate to recommend them to others in our community.
