It turns out the company blocked me from their social website for indicating discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Act. They discriminate potential customers based on age and status. They discriminate potential customers wearing COVID-19 masks and follow the customer in and around their showroom without acknowledging their presence. They dismiss potential customer inquiries all together and do not conduct the necessary follow ups as indicated by the customer. I visited their showroom at the end of 2023 requesting for a writing desk with specific dimensions. As a result, the associate or owner I conversed with insisted he would follow up regularly. All communication ties were cut after my initial visit and made a conscientious effort to stay in touch with them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ORGANIZATION TO THE COMMON CUSTOMER. CLEARLY, THEY DESIRE SPECIFIC CUSTOMERS SUCH AS INTERIOR DESIGNERS AND THEIR CLIENTELE. AS A MARKETING INSIDER WHO HAS TRAINED AND OFFERED SOUND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MANY COMPANIES, "PLACE PEOPLE OVER PROFITS FIRST!!!" SUCH A SHAME THAT CANADIAN COMPANIES DISCRIMINATE YET USE BUZZWORDS SUCH AS "BUY LOCALLY, SPEND LOCALLY!" TO LURE THE CANADIAN CONSUMER TO SPEND. SUCH A PITY!!!!

Also helped me to see if I can find some cushions the patio bench seat. Service was excellent for Toronto retail. I didn't catch her name but she helped me get an estimate for what the delivery fee would be and I had the option to take 2 chairs home and come pick up the rest another day. Part 2 of my pick up, she recognized me and helped me take the dining table out of its box so I can fit it in my car and carry it out easier. She carried all the way outside of the store. She's petite and I wasn't expecting her to help me right out the door and she did! I can't say the same happens at other stores even if it's someone taller stronger, they may not help carry out something so willingly. Thanks for the great shopping experience!

During my move, I worked close to their old location on Ossington, and drew so much inspiration from their aesthetic during my lunch breaks. I bought everything from mirrors to picture frames to dishes to adorable trinkets to bath towels. I even painted my new bedroom the exact same Benjamin Moore green that they had in their storefront window. The space of their newer location on Dundas is wonderful (aka much more room for cute things). Highly recommend. Everyone is always friendly and helpful as well.

The store is SO big, probably 4-6 times the size of an average Winners. Once you walk in the door, you'll be overwhelmed by how much stuff there is, yet its so clean and organized at the same time. Divided into several sections (home decor, kitchenware, bathroom, bed linens), they even have a really good selection of furnitures. You'll also find a small clearance section as well. Most items are rather affordable (still cheaper than department store prices) and the selection is great! I frequently come here to buy small nick nacks for my food photography and every time, I don't leave empty handed. Customer service is a 5 star, especially the cashiers, they are fast and efficient.

All DIY... Then the issue of delivery charge came up and it was going to be $ $450.00... He gave All kinds of excuses... We have never pd that... we are 40 min from Toronto...... The salesman was rude, obnoxious and very unhelpful..... So we walked away.... We were willing to spend$5000.00 on this couch. Instead We went to the Chesterfield store where we were greeted in a very friendly not pushy way and we ended up getting a gorgeous couch for much less than the other couch at Nirvana. The delivery cost was also less than half the cost of Nirvana's. The salespeople were friendly, knowledgeable about the product and overall gave an excellent service. At this point I wonder if this is all related. Personally, I've always had positive experience with this business, we needed condo-sized furniture for our new condo 3 years ago and ended up buying a few great pieces here, which proved durable. We certainly could never afford to buy a $10K sofa from the shop near-by haha Since then, I drop-by to check out their new stuff from time to time, might be coming back soon to finish furnishing our new house, something that's taking us a year so far. Had them cut rods but they weren't cut properly even though the measurements were CORRECT and they won't do anything about it. Thought about having them install curtains too but when we realized that Mark, the owner, chooses (on a whim or based on how he's feeling that day) who gets a better price for such services, we opted out. It's hard to support small businesses when this is how they run their business - especially when it's something custom and so specific like curtains, rods, etc!

Window owners everywhere, this is a window covering solution you won't find at any hardware store. If you have a ceiling or bulkhead that sits directly on top of the window frame -- that is, there's no wall space between the top of the frame and the ceiling -- you've probably done what everyone does in that situation: mount a half-moon style rod hook on the frame itself. So you know what happens: you can see the top of the frame above the top of the curtains, and you get a line of light coming in at the top, because the curtains can't sit high enough to cover the whole window. Well, Mark's got an app for that. :-) Ask him for the ceiling-mounted rings. They come in all the same colours as the rods. Oh, and you MUST buy the rods, too. You know the kind you get in hardware stores, the expandable kind? You know how they sag in the middle because they're not sturdy? And how your curtains get stuck in the gap? And then you have to pull too hard on them, and the next thing you know you've ripped that cheap rod hook right out of the wall? Well, so far, I've bought... let me count in my head...six sets of solid rods and ceiling supports from Mark, and they're the greatest things. I keep showing all my clients and tenants, and they're amazed they've never seen such a simple curtain solution anywhere before. I tell them, just go see Mark at The Drapery King.
