I walked around all the food places that mostly have fried fish and meats, and decided to try the vegetable bibimbap. It was delicious! Steamed rice with carrots, cucumbers, pickled radish, tofu, and avocado. All very fresh... Topped with 3 different kinds of light sauces and sesame seeds. Loved it! I'd definitely come back and choose to eat here over the greasy fried and heavily sauced places in this mall.

I absolutely love Korean food, dumplings, bibimbap and they have it all here! They are severely limited these days due to the current Covid-19 restrictions in The Netherlands, but their carry out is plentiful, with smiling, friendly, faces behind the counter (with a nice plastic screen to protect everyone). They will either heat up the food here for you or you can take home and warm it yourself. Totally lekker! I can't wait to try everything here and eventually sit inside and enjoy the table service.

We stumbled upon Seoul Food, and we decided to give it a try. When we first walked in, it was difficult to ascertain if it's a mini store, a take away restaurant, and then discovered it's a little bit of everything. You place your order at the counter with the very rude women that are standing there chatting amongst themselves and who don't really care if they have customers or not. Don't ask them about the food, their opinions, or anything else because they will only begrudgingly respond. Once you order, you can find somewhere to sit. Seating is extremely limited, and you're more likely to share a space with others than to have your own space. While we were sitting waiting for our food, which by the way is not brought to the table your number is called and you have to return back to the counter to pick it up yourself, they do have an entire wall filled with tchotchkes and food items. Number called and we picked up our food and we needed to ask for napkins and cutlery, because none of that was provided. The food pretty much was bland to mediocre, and the dishes that we ordered that should've been hot, were barely room temperature. The eggs in the dishes we ordered were premade and cold. Poor form, poor food, poor quality. Just not good whatsoever. The wontons were very rubbery and we were not able to eat them. They were that bad. Suffice to say, when in Amsterdam avoid this place at all costs.

First of all, I went a little aggro on a waitress, she was moving a table we were waiting on but it turned out she was moving it for US. So I had to apologize like 5 times... all good though. - Great setting, right on a small square that feels like an outdoor living room. - Chicken, pork banh mi's were top notch. Freshly baked bread that tasted like it had the hint of rice flour an authentic roll should have. - The rice bowl of the day - fish cake and stuff - was great. - Tongerlo on draft. ZOMG. It was like a tripel with a hint of Rodenbach sourness.

You can find it a little hidden from the main shopping streets where it's nice and quiet and where there ar no cars. On the Vrijdagsmarkt you can get a lot of sun - woop woop! So the location for me is perfect! Accomodation? If the weather is nice, they set up their big and colorful terrace. So hurry up to install yourself there during lunch or in the afternoon for a coffee/tea. Food? Pretty nice and original! Big portions, a lot of variation, veggie stuff available. They have sandwiches for lunch but unlike other lunch places, they offer combinations of coriander, cajun and other less traditional spices. Apart of that they also serve suggestions (which are a little more expensive, +- € 14) Price? It's ok, you pay around € 8 for a sandwich and a little more for something special. Drinks? Enough variation and some homemade stuff! And they have some beers from the tap which I can really appreciate as a Belgian girl :) Service? We were served by a good looking and very friendly guy! The girl was also pretty and very friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. I'm definitely going back here.
