I wish I had done more research. She also does not communicate with her patients when they should remove bandages, when they can shower after surgery, give you any tips for preventing scarring or any post surgery care that normal surgeons would communicate to their patients. It's very strange. You are just expected to read their 100 page pamphlet and figure it out for yourself. If you are unhappy with your results, she gets very defensive and will make you pay for a follow up surgery to fix her mistakes. But she still doesn't fix them. It's been about 3 years since my breast reduction, and while I wish I was happy with the results, I am the exact opposite. I have been rather displeased with the overall experience I had with Dr. Henry. From the get-go, I was told they would work with my insurance and submit a claim to them. Unfortunately, they did not tell me I needed a preauthorization, nor did they fill the form out to request preauthorization so I was completely screwed over. I had requested a reduction to a B cup size -- that was not the case as I have been comfortably fitting in a D sized bra. I did give it a year post-op to be sure that it wasn't swelling and sure enough it was not. My nipples are totally botched, it looks like the bottom part of my right breast is completely missing part of the areola. The scarring I have is absolutely horrendous, and my breasts are uneven. For the amount of money paid to receive quality care I would expect to be happy with the outcome, but if you can do research and find a better plastic surgeon, PLEASE DO. read more

Do not put your health at risk. Dr. Kimberly Henry is not a skilled plastic surgeon. She is clearly unaware of her lack of abilities. She will come across as knowledgable, which she very might well be, however it does not translate to her surgical skills. It's clear by my own experience and others that she has one priority- to inflate her patients far beyond what is requested and what is healthy. This woman ruined my face, 2 cars hit me head on when they hit black ice in Tam Junction. I have had PTSD since 2011 from dealing with her in the ER room in Marin county. I don't know about everyone else but I LOVE DR. KIMBERLY HENRY & her STAFF!! I have been going to her since 2003! I just got a couple more procedure done by her last week. She's very upfront and will give you her honest opinion. She's never told me things that I didn't need done. She listens to all of my concerns and let me know what I should or shouldn't do. I got my old implants removed in 2017 to saline cause Dr Henry said that will work best for me when I had silicone in for 13 years that needed to he removed.I wanted to also do a lift but she talked me out of it ajd also get silicon as well but she said saline would be best for me.2 year's latter I was stupid enough to go back to her because my breast where so saggy and the saline implants where so heavy and my back hurt plus I developed a ceroma in my left breast. So she did the lift and removed the implants back to silicon. She has botched my breast in 2019. She put a really tight post up garment bra on me after surgery and it rubbed my stitches raw and open I told her it hurts and is painful and ignored me so my stitches opened my nipple is deformed and under the way it healed looks like I had a 3 degree burn on both breast. I feel botched I feel like I trusted her second time and she failed me not even wanted to help or even say she will fix it once it heals. I have such a deep scare its so painful and I don't know when I will have the money again to fix the problem. When this happened she blamed it on me that I didn't take care of it but it was the tight post up bra the elastic that rubbed it raw and and open and she should have noticed after surgery that is was to tight and should of put a bigger one. I had 2 operations with Dr Kimberly, breast liposuction and open breast reduction and I do not recomend her. My right breast grew larger than the left after taking birth control so I came to her for help. It has been *a year and a half* and my right breast still does not remotely match the left. She only removed stuff from the bottom so the top is too heavy and my right areola/nipple is not only hanging lower than the left but pokes out inches more. She took a ton of pictures the one day it looked decent and wanted to use them. I did not sign a release form and said no. I paid her for a third surgery to revise and before we went into the operating room she pulled out her phone and asked for a video of me talking topless. I let her record then said no delete it. She refunded me and would not do my revision because I would not be naked in her video. I was shocked because I thought so highly of her. Now I still look and feel terrible. She was no help at all. This woman is an awful plastic surgeon. I went with her after a few consultations with others and she sounded very confident and she was a woman-a great to boot when dealing with breast enhancement. Dr. Henry told me that having surgery through the armpit would be best given my skin tone (so my breast wouldn't scar). She had a very cold bedside manner but I did not let that get to me as much-after all, as long as she does good work, what does it matter? Well fast forward-my scar under my armpit are REALLY noticable-something she didn't bother telling me. My breasts NEVER dropped after 13 months-mind you, they were never in the right position in the first place so I was trying and trying to make them drop but when your implants are so high, there's no solution. So now after spending a TON of money on these ridiculous looking breasts-I can't even wear a tank top right now, I have to save another $5500 to go with another plastic surgeon (much regarded in his field and about $3K cheaper). I honestly thought I did all my research and did what I thought, was a great decision. I contacted their office and have sent pics since however given that I don't live in the Bay Area anymore, I can't imagine that they'd offer to correct the sitch. I had work done by Dr. Henry in 2005 (breast augmentation). She has such horrible bedside manner that I literally did not return for all of my follow up appointments. I was concerned about the incision in my armpit opening. I called and initiated an appt. because I was worried. She literally yelled at me in the office about me lifting my arms above my head (I was never told NOT to). Regarding breast size, I went in with a specific cc implant size in mind. I had consulted with another surgeon out of state and we had discussed specific cc's She refused this methodology and instead had me bring in pictures of women that were the size I wished to be. When I tried to ask her about specific cc's, she said they base it on the pictures, put expanders in during surgery and then SHE decides what cc implant to use. I told her I wanted to be a full C or small D... I woke up a DD (sometimes bigger, depending on the bra). My first appt, I was leary because she was abrupt and snotty. I researched her and thought....well, I can put up with snotty as long as she does good work. Look at her responses here to anyone who posts negative comments...passive aggressive and attitude. I had a consultation with dr. Henry. She was supposed to do a zoom consultation. We had an agreed time because I told the assistant I needed after 5 because I work and she called me during my work day hoping to do the consultation then. I honestly just felt like she was rushing so she could be done with her appointments for the day. Almost like an inconvenience to her schedule. I called her back after I got off work and we went over what I wanted. I let her know that I was weighing my options with who I wanted to choose as my surgeon. That I was really hoping to find someone close to home (that being her) from that point on she seemed very disinterested. I have done 2 procedures with Dr. Henry and I felt taken care of like she was my own mom. She did my breast augmentation in 2013 and recently a scar revision a week ago. I am so happy with the results of my new chest and they look incredibly natural and they feel amazing. Trust me, the boys can't even notice the difference when they touch them ;) As for the scar revision, I had a huge keloid scar which I did under local and Dr. Henry was so incredibly sweet and supportive. Linda was great as well. It's sad to see that some are unhappy with her work (but that's their problem) - it's all subjective and some people just don't know what they're signing up for when they get plastic surgery. it's a risk people, it's not always a promise and everybody's body reacts differently. I made the mistake of going to Dr. Kimberly Henry for nose reshaping after being impressed with the photos on her site. Be warned! They don't show all the different angles for a good reason. If you saw all angles of her work, you would see that she had done a bad job or mediocre at best. Upon many encounters with her I realized that she is not a good person and will tell you everything you want to hear to get your money, but as soon as she screws up, she'll flip the bitch switch and blame you for her own mistakes. She left me with permanent loud and obstructed breathing. In my consultation she told me "we'll take care of you if you're unhappy with the results". Post surgery she had her assistant tell me that it would cost me over 3k to get a revision and that I should go see a nose and throat surgeon about my breathing problems..she took no responsibility for her mistakes. I used to have perfect breathing before I ever stepped foot in her office. To make matters worse she made my nose look worse than before. Look up Koena Mitra. This is similar to what she made my nose look like from the front angle after one surgery... Don't ever go to her for nose reshaping! I went to Dr. Henry in late 2017. I got a mini face lift and breast augmentation. I am unfortunately botched. My right breast got the "double bubble". Before I knew what it was, I went to her with my concern. She said that it was my breast tissue doing that and NOT the implant.. so we decided to do a scar revision and fix the "mammary fold"...(I wanted to trust her) which did not solve the problem and it caused a bigger scar. For those who don't know, a double bubble is caused by making the breast pocket to big!! Purely the doctor's fault. What is the most disturbing is she knew that it was her fault and she put the blame on me!! Even tried to say it was because I had "breast pstosis" was the reasoning... however looking at the pictures, it implant dropped from the very beginning.. I am have never been able to truly enjoy my breasts because of the embarrassment! The botching doesn't stop there either... I have horrible scarring from my mini facelift.. here is something important that Yelp is trying to hide---Kimberly Henry is an advertiser on yelp and even has influence there/ review by Miriam C: I don't recommend Dr Henry, she doesn't take responsibility for her own mistakes instead she blames the patients. Couple years ago I had a procedure (breast implants) with her. After that a nightmare started. I decided to put big implants, I'm not a big woman, I'm healthy and I didn't have any problems with my prior surgeries in the past. But she never told me if I was a candidate to use big implants. After surgery a week later the incision opened on the left breast, until the breast implant was exposed, I had another surgery to put a new one and the same thing happened. After that I was with out implant like 6 months. Later she did the surgery again, couple weeks later the incision opened again, I came back to her office and she put stitches. There were several times that I came back and she put stitches. So, one day I saw a black spot I called her and sent to her a picture, but I saw her the same day when I noticed that black spot and she never told me until I got home I noticed it. Next day I had again surgery she put more big stitches. Later when a saw my left breast it was like square and almost in my belly, horrible, I asked her why my left breast looked like that very ugly and she said with no concerns: "ooh that's normal with the bra it is gonna look ok." A few days later the incision started opening again and i saw like yellow liquid coming out from the incision I got scared and I called her and I told her I want to remove the implant ( because she told me to wait one week more to wait the incision heal) but I didn't believed it because it was getting worse, so I talked to father in law who is a Doctor and he recommended to remove the implant immediately so my in laws came with me to Dr Henry's office, no others Henry's patients were there ( Henry wouldn't like her future patients see the horrible situation) she was very upset and very touchy, my father in law asked her a question very respectful as a professional and she became very angry blaming me for everything. ( I clarify I Followed very carefully all the post op instructions, also I always had help, family, friends and my husband, even I didn't move my arms for months as a result I got my shoulder frozen very painful and I had to take physical therapy, also for 7 months I use to take antibiotics prescribed for Henry, and I got problems in my stomach) she was like crazy and my father in law didn't understand why she acted like that and finally she kicked out my in laws from her office when my mother in law is disabled. I was in the surgery room and she put me local anesthesia and while she was removing the implant she was telling me bad and gross things about my in laws and I couldn't say anything because my life was in her hands I just wanted to cry. When she finished I went home with my laws waiting for me outside, I was very sad, angry with a lot pain. My only fault is not looking for another opinion with another Surgeon, I trusted of Henry. She only blamed me for her own mistakes. Fortunately I found a very nice and professional Surgeon that helped me, because Henry left me with huge and painful scars, and I had to fix my scars and get treatment for my frozen shoulders and my stomach problems. She is a weird woman zero professional. If you are thinking to get any procedure put your health first it is more important. Research many Surgeons different opinions, look for patients testimonials and experiences, and make a good decision. All care is free and since then we have seen 10,000 patients. I have made a formal complaint about Kimberly Henry, M.D., on behalf of a relative, to the Enforcement Program of the California Medical Board, which governs our license and whose mission is "To protect consumers by advancing high quality, safe medical care." I feel there was grossly inappropriate and excessively prolonged use of a medication that carries an FDA "Black Box Warning," defined as the strictest warning and put on only a minority of medications. It is the standard of care that a doctor should be aware of a medication's "Black Box Warning" safety concerns and to discuss those concerns with the patient. This particular medication should be used "only in cases when alternative treatments cannot be used" and for no longer than necessary. I found out it was used for my relative for 191 days and she has suffered adverse effects of that medication. Driving my relative to Dr Henry's office in Nov. 2018, now aware of the prolonged use of that medication and meeting Dr. Henry for the first time, I quietly and respectfully wanted to discuss that medication's specific use and prolonged duration. Apparently Dr. Henry took my question as a personal criticism and immediately threw me out of the office. My wife, herself on permanent disability, sitting quietly in the waiting room, never having spoke a word to Dr. Henry, was also told to leave the office with me. I am careful in writing this review and have in fact obtained legal counsel because on June 24, 2011 the Marin Independent Journal notes Dr. Henry filed a defamation suit against an online reviewer over bad Yelp reviews. A judge threw out her case and made her pay the defendant's $20,000 legal bills. It is also noteworthy that in July 2006 in a stipulated decision the Medical Board of California issued a Public Letter of Reprimand to Dr Henry for administering Type A Botulinum Neurotoxin to herself and to forty patients when that toxin was not approved for human use. I have asked the Medical Board to investigate and if deficiencies occurred, to take appropriate action. read more

At my consultation with Dr Henry, I explained to her that I would like a breast augmentation and lift. I was a small saggy B cup and wanted to be a perky C! She advised me against the lift and said I would get the same results without the lift. I trusted her advice and went ahead with the surgery. At my post op appointment I told her my concern about how big my breasts were...she told me not to worry that they were still very swollen and would go down. Well, they never did. Instead of being a saggy B cup, I was now a saggy DD cup. I was mortified, as I am only 5'2". I ended up having a reduction by another surgeon 5 years later. What a mess! read more

I would not recommend Dr. Henry to any one. I hired Dr. Henry to close my incision after my second c-section. The job she did left me looking deformed. It was 7 inches long 1 1/2 inches thick and bright purple. It was deep down and caused one side of my lower abdomen to look bulbous. Talk about post depression. When I discussed it with her, she said it was not her fault or her problem. She said there was nothing she couId do. I left in sobbing tears. I had surgery with Dr. Kimberly Henry in October of 2016. It was the worst experience I have ever had getting surgery. I had arm liposuction, liposuction in my stomach, hips and thighs and a fat transfer to my butt. My results were less than mediocre. From beginning to end this office and the doctor were unprofessional. Kimberly lacked any bed side manner or concern for my results. She is all about the money, not about the care of her patients! Immediately I noticed my hips were uneven, my butt was flatter on one side and one of my arms had a huge dent midway down my upper arm. Kimberly denied noticing these observations and told me it was still swollen. After 3 months of hiding my body and being regretful and ashamed of choosing this doctor, I went in for my 3 month post op appointment where the doctor admitted those areas needed to be addressed. Without apology or sympathy at all, a local anesthesia revision was made for 2 weeks away. I must also add, aside from the poor attention to detail, Kimberly scarred my stomach in 4 places by her sloppy liposuction job. 5pm on the evening before my revision, I was called and left a voicemail that my revision that was previously scheduled and long overdue, was being moved to later that day. I wrote a long detailed email to Dr. Henry's office addressing the entire situation and the absolute lack of intent to follow through on her end to fix what she had ruined. She pushed my appointment back to accommodate another general anesthesia patient that had to be seen before me. I had child care set up and clients scheduled later that day for work since I was advised I would be able work a half day after my morning revision. I received an email back from an office staff stating the doctor was made aware of my email and to let them know if I wanted to get rescheduled. NO APOLOGIES, no care at all. I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. I was never reached out to by Dr. Henry after giving her $12,000 to botch my entire body and have my severely needed (wouldn't have needed if she did a decent job) revision pushed off. Dr. Henry just blew me off entirely. I work in the service industry and I know that if I had a client that needed a revision on their service, they would be PRIORITY. They definitely wouldn't have just fell through the cracks! I am deeply disturbed by the lack of care by Dr. Henry when I specifically took the time to write a long, descriptive email when my revision was canceled to express my hurt, pain and frustration. It was extremely alarming to not hear back from the doctor personally. She should be ashamed! About 8 months later, I called for my medical records. The new staff who was absent when my surgery occurred and said she would talk to the doctor and see if she could figure out what's going on. She immediately called back with a bunch of baloney and how Dr. Henry wanted me to come in so we could talk. I explained to her the situation and how entirely inappropriate that was. Dr. Henry shouldn't have a license. She has horrible reviews, she was a horrible doctor that left me emotionally and physically distraught until another doctor could fix her mistakes. No one should have to be treated the way I was treated! I have zero respect for this woman. I also must add that her totally unprofessional office gave me the wrong size garments to wear at home during recovery, scheduled me appointments at her Petaluma office during hours they were closed so I was left waiting outside for a half an hour until they opened, and I got an opinion from a high end surgeon in Santa Rosa 2 1/2 months after my surgery to see if what I was seeing was correct. This doctor (I will not name for privacy purposes) not only agreed to seeing the mistakes but encouraged I give Dr. Henry a shot at a revision. This doctor was not trying to sell me on seeing them to fix it but they agreed that all of the places in question were poorly done and was surprised to have seen such poor work. I advise you to seek another doctor! I have proof with pictures and emails for anyone who should question the honesty of this review. Good luck to all! read more
