I had problems several years after reconstructive surgery, won a battle with breast cancer so I went to see this doctor upon recommendation of a friend of a friend. My friend had this doctor do a breast augmentation around the same time and her stitches tore on both sides and she had to go back multiple times and has never healed properly. I wish I would have know that before he worked on me. At any rate, he performed the necessary surgery, however I'm not sure what he did as there was a very noticeable protrusion on my right breast, looks like something is sticking out about a quarter of an inch!! I made another appt and he said he wanted to have a colleague consult during my visit. I am very timid and self-conscious about my naked body but wanted to feel normal and whole. So after I disrobed, they both came in and after looking me over his colleague said I don't work on breasts, I do eyes. I was absolutely flabbergasted, embarrased beyond words and completely humiliated, I grabbed my clothes and ran out of there in a paper robe! I can't even imagine why he would ask another doctor to consult who never did this type of surgery!! I couldn't bring myself to go back after such a traumatizing experience. I recently had a preventative CT scan on my lungs, thank God my lungs were OK but they told me both implants were ruptured, they said they couldn't tell how long ago it happened but I suspect it was sooner rather than later considering the pain I have felt for quite some time. I contacted the doctors office yesterday, telling him what has now happened to me, he said he wouldn't be doing anything about it. I will now have to pursue legal options. I am certain that my friend and I are not the only ones with serious problems after dealing with him, most likely they don't write reviews as my friend didn't, or he has been able to delete them and only keeps the favorable reviews. I had Liposuction last year to my stomach and it looks TERRIBLE!! My stomach is not even, I have more fat on side than the other. I have indents where he took too much of the fat away. I went into his office to talk about my concerns, the other staff members saw what I saw. When Dr. D'amore came in and said "sometimes the skin changes after surgery and it is not extra fat on this one side" "why don't you go to a Laser clinic and they can fix it??!!" It's been almost 4 years and I still suffer from his work on me. I have gone to 5 plastic surgeons and they won't touch me because these plastic surgeons tell me to go back to him because they don't think they can repair what he had done to me. I had cancer and was told to have my implants removed. I had always gone to Dr. Minami for work but he has retired. I went to A'amore because of a review. It was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made. It's been very painful and the scars are still there. I have never had scars before. I had to go under a stem transplant for my cancer and the only thing that was painful were these scars. The Doctors at Cedars Sinai looked at the cuts and how he left me looking like a freak and would just shake their heads and tell me how sorry they were. I wanted to get new implants when I was in LA but the doctor told me he couldn't do it because D"amore cut too much skin under my breast . Before my implants were put through my nipples and they were beautiful. no scars just right. I can' wear a swim suit or bras with metal lining under the cup. It is too painful and to wear dresses I have to use tape to even get them in place as one breast is almost under my arm. I have prayed to forgive this man and I am now at peace with my self and what happen to me. I won't go on anymore but I had to get this off my chest. The only good thing is the doctors I have seen have taken photos to show what a bad job looks like. I even agreed to show my breasts at a meeting for cancer patients to warn them about how not to end up like me. So I have a photo in a pamphlet of my chest but not my face or name. And I have talked to many women that were left looking terrible and needed to talk to someone. It is my hope that D'amore will never do this to anyone else. And to end this I didn't sue because I was undergoing chemo treatments for years and I'am happy to say I survived cancer . My husband died of Covid and I no longer have the desire to undergo anymore treatments. The surgery center is there in the office... my cosmetic surgery was painless, easy to do, and my recovery was very quick. Dr. D'amore is more artist than doctor, and he corrected my natural off-kilter shape to bring perfect symmetry... with the enhancements science gives us the ability to enjoy. My breast enhancement looks amazing.. several years later and no one can tell I had implants. (Unless I brag, which I do from time to time.) I chose the silicon gel... a touch more expensive, but totally worth it. They look and feel better than real. I have waited 5 years to write this review. Honestly because I thought at some point this man and his practice would do the right thing. Unfortunately they did not. During my first pregnancy in 2016 my right breast began to swell and throb. I went into the office. The Dr did not see me and a nurse did that told me it was probably pregnancy related. After I gave birth my breast swelled to the size of a watermelon. They drained a jar of fluid out of it twice. At 8 weeks postpartum I was told the implants needed to be removed immediately. I had a rare form of AFB in my breast. Dr DiAmore removed my implants while I was lactating. Immediately after one breast drain was draining breast milk. Dr DIAmore insisted it was not milk. It was. I developed a secondary infection. I had 2 drains in 30 days with a brand new baby. During this time this doctor and his office offered NO sympathy for my situation. My incision under my breast where breast milk was leaking was not healed 2 months post removal. Dr DiAmore had me put a bandage on it. I asked if I should see a specialist. He said why? I sought out my own breast specialist who immediately said I needed surgery again to repair a fistula. I was told a plastic surgeon should not have operated on a lactating breast as this is beyond his scope of medicine. I saw an infectious disease doctor. After months they ID'd my infection as a rare form of AFB, common as an upper respiratory infection in men found in Italy and Asia. How it ended up in my breast breaks down to him or the implant. According to the infectious disease doctor it was only able to enter my breast cavity during surgery. I am numb under both breasts. The breast surgeon had to remove more tissue due to the secondary infection and fistula Dr Di Amore ignored. I am disfigured and have been depressed over what happened to me. I wrote DrDiAmore an email after this happened and he never responded. I see his responses on here and it's clear it's just for his image. This man doesn't care. At all. I sat in his office with a brand new baby sobbing and he showed me not one ounce of sympathy. I had to be on antibiotics for a year. Fast forward to this year. I am done having children and I want to get my breasts fixed. I contacted sientra and found out he never reported explanting me, and never sent my implants to them for analysis. This is a vital step because this infection was so severe it could have killed me. Yet he threw them away. I have never gotten an apology. Or any type of compensation. This office did everything they could to brush me under the rug. Please please do not let this man disfigure you the way he has me. I regret my decision more than anything in this world. read more

I had surgery 7 days ago. I am new to all of this. I am a healthy, fit 69 year old. I had a a neck lift, jowl lift, bags removed under my eyes and a mini-tummy tuck to remove a "pooch" from 2 c-sections 29 and 33 years ago. I could not be happier with the outcome, the staff, and the lack of pain. This will be a long review. Being new, I was looking for a "blow by blow" so that's what you'll get here. The staff put me at ease from day one. Whenever I called I felt they remembered me. There was nothing artificial about this. Dr. D'Amore is personable, professional and invokes confidence without any trace of self importance. To my surprise, I made my decision at my initial consult as was able to "sneak in" between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This was a bit of a gamble in terms of healing but so far so good. The day of surgery I was quite scared--that is until I walked into the office. The next 30 minutes was relaxed and painless and next thing I knew I was awake in a comfortable recovery chair. My husband drove me the 50 minute ride home. I dozed and continued to do so for the next 24 hours. I used prophylactic sleep meds and tylenol with codeine, not because I was in pain but to stay ahead of any I might have. I never had pain. My skin certainly felt "funny", and the lymph drainage was uncomfortable. I avoided the mirror but did take a daily photo upon rising and then after my shower and applying a bit of makeup. I bought a cheap "sun tanned" foundation which was perfect! I've made the choice to stay inside until I am "fully healed"/that is until I don't think people will ask questions! It's been hard keeping to this as I feel good and the healing is much faster than anticipated. I am bruised but I'd say this is minimal--again much less than expected. I'm someone who does best expecting the worst and being pleasantly surprised when things go better than expected. This has FAR surpassed anything I anticipated. It's really been a bit of a Christmas miracle! I'm taking a chance that 3 weeks until a family visit to the midwest will be enough healing to feel inconspicuous. My goal is look and feel "refreshed" and youthful and for people to think "she sure looks good" rather than, "she's had work done". At 7 days out--I think this will all be the case. Each day my "outside" looks and feels more like I've always felt "inside". I bet you know what I mean. I am deeply grateful to all the staff and fortunate to have had the resources to make this all come true. I found Dr. D'Amore on the recommended list of En Bloc explant surgeons on HealingBreastImplantIllnes site. It was very important to me to have a surgeon trained in the En Bloc removal procedure. This is the safest way to remove implants. (When I had the implants done 30 years ago, no one knew about the side effects and the need for explant / re-implant especially if there is encapsulation. The original surgeon broke the encapsulation and I had suffered from chronic fatigue, brain fog all those years afterward.) I was very nervous about this surgery, Dr. D'Amore and everyone in the office put me completely at ease. They were friendly, welcoming and I felt very comfortable & taken care of.
