Anyone know what happened? Phone out of order and office is vacated? Just wondering if she moved elsewhere?

With RVA being the Allergy Capital of the country, RVA Allergy was a must-visit for my partner, who…read moresuffers from terrible allergies all 4 seasons. Dr. Von Elton is kind, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. We haven't come up with a question she can't answer yet! The desk staff (Katie in particular) are funny, conversational, and on top of it. We get regular appointment reminder calls, and Katie is super flexible and always willing to help out with billing and scheduling issues. Highly recommend this place. My only qualm is they don't take my insurance (United HealthCare) - otherwise I'd be a patient here too!

However, I left feeling disappointed by an interaction involving my 3-year-old daughter. While I was discussing my results, my daughter was holding a pen and accidentally marked the chair while drawing. Instead of gently redirecting her or asking me to take the pen, the doctor Kelley Von abruptly took it out of her hand in a way that didn't sit right with me as a parent. I completely understand wanting to protect office furniture and maintain professionalism, but I also believe young children should be treated with patience and kindness. A simple request to me would have been enough. As someone who has trusted this office with my entire family's care, I hope more consideration is given to how small children are approached during appointments.

I went in for suspected food allergies. They really rushed the process, discounted my allergic…read morereactions, and were not able to find the cause using their very routine test. The staff was not particularly pleasant, and the doctor was less than concerned with finding the cause. Still, I suffer from severe allergic reactions to foods that I'm being left to diagnose myself through deductive reasoning. Face swelling, hives, etc. They've been very very attentive to the $400 bill, but have not once followe up to ask how my reactions have been. Cha ching...

I have been dealing with sinus problems, headaches, and allergies all my life and about a year ago…read moreI decided it was time to go to an allergist to figure out what was wreaking havoc on my immune system. Going to an allergist was intimidating at first. I didn't know what to expect. All I knew was that I was fed up and it was time to get rid of the eye puffiness, constant fatigue, and bags under my eyes due to congestion. This place was right around the corner from my house so I decided to check it out. The doctor was very friendly! More than anything, I was just excited to find out what my allergy was. The whole time I was hoping and praying that it wasn't cats, as I love my kitty so much and I couldn't ever imagine giving him away. Dr. Feinstein made me feel very comfortable and explained how everything was going to go. They would prick me with all different types of allergens and then observe which area produced a reaction. I got injected with everything from all types of pollens, to pet dander, to grass. Don't be turned off by that "injection" word either. It's really just a prick. Anyway, some time passed and lo and behold one of the spots produced a pretty sizable reaction. The culprit? Dust mites. Great. I'm allergic to something that you can't get rid of and is everywhere. I'm telling you it ain't easy being me! After the diagnosis, Dr. Feinstein fave me some great information about how to keep my allergy at bay. A nasal spray prescription and some Zyrtec seem to be doing a good job at reducing my reactions. I have also made other adjustments like covering my mattress, pillows, and getting a dust mite resistant comforter. So far, so good! Thank you Dr. Feinstein for solving a 20 something year old mystery!

i guess find your doctor that fits your expectations. The service team is very great at details,…read moreexpectations, and communication. When it comes to getting a second opinion as a new patient you don't feel as important to the specialist they just go off of prior notes. Finding a new doctor as a new patient isn't easy. I will continue to go to their Woodbridge location because service is consistent from the service team to the specialists. They make it seem like they will do anything to help you get solutions where Richmond location doesn't seem as personable and understanding. They treat you like any other patient . I'll take the 90 minute drive to get that personal touch. The manager Sean was amazing with resolution though, thank you!

I wish I went there before believing a word these people said it's just marketing tactic like people who talk you into buying a car or something you don't need. Or like a dentist office that offers Invisalign even though your teeth are perfectly straight. Not sure if it's like T Mobile where they get a pay cut every time they talk some desperate patient into getting this surgery but....This place definitely needs an investigation. And it's truly a shame you can't trust anyone. So do your research, people are too quick to offer surgeries and medications without properly treating the symptoms first, won't be coming back I feel violated.

I didn't care for Dr. Blumberg -- or his office -- one bit. My pediatrician recommended the…read moreoffice, unfortunately. He had a terrible bedside manner and didn't know how to interact with children. We waited for an extended period of time in the lobby for our initial appointment/consultation. The initial nurse entered the room and asked if I knew my infants height/weight. I explained he'd been measured a few months ago. She huffed and puffed and said he'd probably changed a lot in a few months (he hadn't). Once Dr. Blumberg entered the room, he was condescending and pretentious. I'm not sure if he was trying to make jokes -- but they weren't funny. In fact, one of the comments frightened my three year old (it was about him being trapped in the office and never being able to leave). My son stuck his lower lip out in terror until I interjected and told him I'd always come save him. The nurse who did the actual testing was the saving grace -- thank goodness for her. When Dr. Blumberg came back in to read the results and tell us that our son didn't have any food allergies he concluded by looking at the nurse and snottily saying, "can I leave now?". Overall a very bad taste was left in my mouth. Due to the lack of a reaction, they sent me to Labcorp to have my 13 month old get blood drawn. Based on those results, they are having me take him for a Food Challenge. I chose to have the third round of testing (Food Challege) done at a new doctors office. I'd rather pay another two or three specialist copays than spend four hours in that dark, dirty office, with a mean doctor. The new doctor's office had a heck of a time getting his medical records sent over -- GO FIGURE!!!
