This bed and breakfast hotel is amazing, not only it is located within a few miles of many places…read morein Vermont it is also located in a paradise within the amazing mountains of Vermont. First time staying here and I enjoyed my stay, the rooms are cozy and good size to give you space and comfort. The one thing I did not like and ONLY thing I didn't like was there is no air conditioning in the rooms so during summer months or cold winter months witch they get a lot up there it can get warm in the rooms specially if you leave your door closed and locked. I really like this place, the dinning area is amazing with a piano and a nice long table and a view of there back yard witch is also very nice. They have a movie theater yes you can watch movies here or enjoy popcorn/candy and watch whatever movies they offer. The pool is heated so you won get cold and freeze and also they size of the pool is pretty big for a bed and breakfast place, they have a jacuzzi and a bar with beer and a tv. Pretty much everything you want and need is here in a beautiful area of Vermont in the mountains not to far from the capital of Vermont (Montpellier) or Vermont's biggest city (Burlington) only a 45 minute drive thru the mountains. Great place to stay while in Vermont specially if you are coming here during the winter months for skiing. Big kitchen is also here but for use for private party's and weddings witch they also do a lot here. Rooms have mini fridge with silver wear and plates also a sink and some have a couch and table and a balcony with a view of the center garden area. It can get noisy if you choose the rooms closer to the entrance, early in the morning you can hear dump trucks and construction people, if you have money to spend stay in the other side with plenty of rooms up stairs and even your own private kitchen witch is mainly rented out to big family's or party's. This place looks small from the outside but when you walk in you will be amazed, the no ac in the rooms did not bother me much because they do have portable heaters/fans that can cool Off your room or warm it up so I still give this business five + stars. I absolutely love this place.

I can not say enough about how much my girlfriend and I enjoyed staying at this bed and breakfast…read more It was a lot more cozier and cleaner than any top notch hotel I have ever stayed at. My girlfriend and I arrived at about 7pm at night and were greeted at the front door by Rick, one of the owners. He assisted us in carrying our bags to our room and then gave us a nice tour of the place. This house was HUGEEEEE and has something to do for every person in the family. Rick first took us to their indoor swimming pool/hot tub. The pool and hot tub had covers on it to avoid the temperature of the water from dropping too far and from also getting too dirty. There was also a treadmill in there which we could use if we wanted. He then took us up their beautiful staircase to their movie theater. The theater was very nice and personal and he had a good selection of movies to choose from. They also had their own popcorn machine and candy to munch on while enjoying a movie. Then he showed us their dining hall where we were to have breakfast every morning and asked us what time we were planning on having breakfast. Then he wished us a good night and let us on our merry way. We went back to the room to wash up and get ourselves situated and my girlfriend could not stop talking about how nice our room was. We stayed in the Red Maple Suite and my gosh the room was amazing. We had a queen size bed, our own TV, our own bathroom, sink, mini fridge, microwave, balcony, table, couch, coffee pot and iron. That is one of the GREAT THINGS about the Maple House INN. Each room has its own bathroom with shower or tub along with a good sized bed and mini fridge/small kitchen. Each room also has its own personal temperature control. We were able to control the temperature of our room without affecting any of the other rooms. They even had HEATED FLOORS!!! The mini fridge had some small waters in it which we found to be very thoughtful and considerate of them to put them there for their guests. When we woke up the next morning, we went down to the dining hall and met with Rick and Lynn. They asked us what we wanted for breakfast, and us not being very picky eaters, told them to surprise us. Rick made some delicious french toast, served with orange juice, tea, a bowl of fruit, and of course, maple syrup. That was by far some of the best french toast I have ever had. Their two pets, Charlie (dog) and Opie (cat), were there also to greet us. They were some of the cutest and most behaved pets I had ever seen. Over the course of our 3 day stay, we were served eggs benedict (which was damn good), french toast, and a cream cheese filled french toast for breakfast. All came with a bowl of different fruit and choice of drink (juice, water, tea, coffee). We also watched a movie in the movie theater and Rick was kind enough to pop up some fresh popcorn. Rick told us that if we wanted to watch another movie at another time, then to just let him know and he would play it for us. We also used the hot tub and swimming pool every day. The cover was not much work to take off, simply crank and roll the pool cover off. The hot tub cover was easy to take off and replace. Rick and Lynn were some of the nicest people we had ever met and really felt welcome staying at their place. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time and are looking forward to coming back and staying at their place again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!!

We were greeted by Erich and Caroline at the front and right then we knew we made a great choice. They are so warming and welcoming into their abode. This is like showing up to a relatives house and feeling right at home! We had this amazing large room and attached bathroom. A great big comfortable bed and an awesome view of the snowy mountains in front of our room. We were not disturbed in our rooms, it was so quiet we barely knew there was other visitors with us. Caroline and Erich have such a friendly, warming, giving personality. They offered so much to us. They gave us tips for local places around town and even offered to help with whatever we needed! All around it was probably the best stay I have had somewhere away from home in a while and For sure will book another stay!

Her southern hospitality shines through and she is as gracious and warm as can be. It was the perfect place to stay while I was attending a weekend wedding. I treated myself to a massage and dinner in town the night I arrived. This is a peaceful, beautiful, luxurious refuge if you want to sleep like a queen (or king) and decompress. It was a joy to meet Caroline, Eric & their lovely daughters. My only regret is I couldn't stay for the gourmet breakfast. The smell of homemade muffins made me drool as I headed out the door. Thank you for everything!

Jude and I saw a deer one morning from the breakfast room. The old red barn juxtaposed with a solar panel nearby is pure Vermont. While the farm is off the main highway a mile or two, it's an easy drive to local villages and less than an hour to Montpelier. All rooms are up a narrow center staircase with a full bath in the hall. They have a spa bath on the first floor that is pictured here in Photos. A large tiled accessible shower, jetted tub, tall windows which can be opened and ample towels and supplies. I enjoyed it so much that I booked the entire B & B suite for a weekend to come back with the family. The suite is three bedrooms and very affordable for a weekend get-a-way. The back wing of this old farmhouse is half cozy living room/kitchen and half modernized greenhouse. Downstairs in the updated section is a wonderful bathroom with large jacuzzi tub and walk in shower with three (yes, 3) shower heads - though the switching valve only let's you run two at a time. Plus the radiant floor tiles makes me want to just lie in the sun along with Phoenix the resident friendly cat. Upstairs are three cozy bedrooms with wonderful Vermont landscape views and lot's of books for browsing. Outside there are pastures and trails, a big old barn, sheep and a llama. When we were there in the fall the llama was just wandering around the yard as it had been fighting with the ram, so Jay just let it out to get a little breathing room. So I woke up in the morning and watched the llama on patrol around the house. Jay and Jude, like so many B & B owners (a special breed) are friendly and entertaining. They are anxious to be helpful and quick to recommend good restaurants, places to hike, and other things to do. And the breakfasts, ahh, the breakfasts... You have to stay at least two nights just so that you can get more of their good food. fresh fruit cup, maple smoked bacon, maple walnut scones, asparagus soufflé, baked apples with maple syrup, blueberry muffins, light and fluffy waffles ... I went to bed each night excited to wake up and smell whatever was cooking. None of the rooms have a private bath, but renting the whole space makes that happen. No cellular phone service (well sometimes one bar) but good wifi. Close to hiking, X country skiing, and snowmobile trails. Close to Montpelier. A couple of really nice restaurants in the area: Claire's, Positive Pie, Rainbow Sweets.

If you are looking for a real Vermont experience, The Moose Meadow Lodge is a great start to the journey. This beautiful home with cabin vibes has brilliant decor and character throughout the property. The amenities are far beyond what you'll find listed, thanks to the selfless owners, Greg and Willie. At the very least, you'll have a very comfortable stay. Greg and Willie will go above and beyond to make sure your overall visit to Vermont is worthwhile. We decided to travel to Vermont last minute for New Year's Eve. We booked the Moose Meadow Lodge on the drive up. We were welcomed with open arms. Greg showed us around the property, the lobby shop, brought us to our room and explained all the unique and exciting details of the house and property. We woke up each morning to a beautifully prepared breakfast. Since our trip was so last minute, we didn't have much of a plan. Greg was kind enough to sit down with us and help us map out our entire journey. He even helped us map an alternate route home that was more scenic. We didn't get to everything on the list, but everything he mentioned was perfect. You can tell he has a genuine love and passion for what he does. His advice and planning alone made the experience excellent. I can go on and on about the perfect stay we had. You can tell Greg and Willie are very passionate about what they do. You will never experience this kind of attention and care at a hotel. We are already planning our next stay here.
