I asked for dark auburn tattooed eye brows. I even brought the hair dye box to show her the color to match my hair. I ended up with brown, not even brows. When I made the appt over the phone I was very specific what I wanted and how much money I had to spend. It was my birthday i had a 20 off coupon which should have told her I was gonna budget. I paid 360 dollars. On her piece board it read complimentary touch up in 6 weeks, but before I left she said she would touch up for 40 or 45 dollars when I come back. I never went back. I'm on a budget. Some inappropriate comments were also made while I was in her salon. I would not recommend. read more

I went to Kim's Salon for eyelash extensions after shopping around Olympia online. I checked out a couple of other salons and none of them could beat Kim's prices. I decided to give her a shot. Her shop is in a little strip mall in a clean part of town. When you walk in you get a very serene feeling. Her shop is clean and not overly crowded with products. I felt like an old friend. Kim greeted me with a huge welcoming smile and she was very accommodating due to Covid-19 requirements. I had eyelash extensions applied and eyebrows tinted & they look awesome!  My lashes were just what I had envisioned, long, not too thick, no pain, no clumps and khardasian-esque. Kim did not fail to exceed my expectations. My lashes look dramatic, but still look like my own lashes. I couldn't be more pleased with my new eyelashes. And my eyebrows are very natural looking. Kim is amazing at what she does and when you meet her you'll understand why. She is so beautiful and sweet, and professional. She knows how to make things look beautiful and perfect. I cannot speak to her other services, but for brow waxing, Kim is as good as it gets. Never in my 10+ years of getting my brows done have a found a cheaper price at only $8 per session, and she does a spectacular job! Time and time again I have gone to some brow place and they've over-waxed, or made my brows uneven. Not with Kim! She gets it right every time. We've all heard the old adage that your eyebrows are sisters, not twins, but Kim might be changing that, because my brows look symmetrical after a quick 5-minute waxing with her. She's also a really sweet lady and her accent can be difficult to understand, so you can text her and arrange an appointment rather than struggle to understand her over the phone. First of all, I'm not one to slander people's names, however this was hands down one of the worst experiences I've ever been through in regard to the beauty industry. I have been getting eyelash extensions for a couple of years now, and I thought that it was time to take a break and let my natural lashes breathe. After a month or so, I missed the extensions a lot, however I didn't miss the price that came with them - so I thought to look for a less expensive place that still delivered great quality. I ended up finding Kim's Salon and was super skeptical at first due to the pictures and various reviews. Also, the picture results were an array of good to bad looking, which made me a little hesitant to say the least. But, the majority of reviews were nothing but positive and I was impressed. Plus with people saying how fast, cheap, and efficient she was, it seemed too good to be true!... and it was. The shop is located in a ghetto little strip mall outside of a gas station. The bed seemed like a second hand piece of mattress with a uncomfortable paper bedding to lay on like at the Dentists office. She taped down my eyes with scotch tape... scotch tape guys. What even?? Not only that, but she was constantly yanking on my eyelashes that she had just applied glue to. I could literally feel her tearing off my natural lashes! I still do not know why she was doing that. The entire full set took 45 minutes and it was god awful. The eyelashes were such cheap quality, they would make a disgusting crunching sound when I rubbed on them. Not to mention she glued multiple lashes to mine, and did NOT apply a lash one by one like you're supposed to. My lashes looked like I used two different sets of false lashes from a box at Walgreens. There was clumps of crusty cream colored glue attached to not only my lashes, but my skin too. I found at least 4 eyelashes glued to my eyelid! I was soooo disappointed. I would never recommend her to ANYONE! Not unless you want cheap quality lashes, applied poorly, and that look hideous. I had to get my money back after that experience. Never again. Please read all reviews before you even think about getting your lashes done here. I should have stuck with my gut when I felt like things were going to go downhill! Lesson learned for sure. DO NOT TRUST HER just horrible. My horrific experience with this place: I seen a women at my job & complimented her eyelashes she then told me she had them done in Rainer WA & said they used medical glue & said it doesn't do any harm to the real eyelash. However I love my real eyelashes but I really wanted more because who wouldn't if its harmless? I came home that night & started looking at salons that do eyelashes near me. The next day I went around olympia & asked the salons what type of glue is used. The first few salons said " we just use the glue that comes in the supplies". Then I went to Kim & she welcomed me in & reassured me she uses medical glue& told me my eyelash are going to be healthy & no damage will occur etc. So I paid & then came back a second time because they were definitely pretty but super irritating. She closes your eyes with tape to be able to work on ur eyelashes so I didn't know what she was doing however I would often smelling super glue so I became suspicious. After I was done I asked to see the glue & realized it wasn't medical 'signal' it read " avoid contact with eyes. If it gets in eyes Call 911 " I was shocked after all I went home and took them off the eyelashes and my real eyelashes were literally coming off I cried so much & was contemplating suing her for lying to me about the glue for its unprofessional & risks health. I then calmed down & asked for my money back & she called me a liar & said shes only giving me 35$ out of the 120+ I paid her. Lying about a potentially health hazard is very unprofessional, just save your time and money and avoid going here ! read more

My asian eyes definitely pop with eyelash extensions. Kim did a fantastic job in giving me her professional opinion on what length would best fit my face. I wanted a more natural everyday look than the false Hollywood look. For me 6.5 to 7 is the best length. Although her store does not look posh it's clean and she did an awesome job for a great price compared to other places around Olympia. Also got some skin tags and moles removed from my neck. Beauty requires some pain. Kim doesn't have a receptionist so be aware that while she is working on you she may take phone calls from customers or run out to address a customers question. But she is good at her job and isn't as pricey as other estheticians. read more

I took my wife here last week! She loves it! Her eye lash are thicker and darker. The price are fair and affordable. She thought it was expensive till our friends told us about this store. I love this place! Kim has been doing my lashes for over a year and I am obsessed. She does an excellent job, she is very professional and always willing to work around my crazy schedule. I get so many compliments on my lashes and they are so easy to maintain. I also have her wax and tint my eyebrows and get facials often. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Kim is very nice and got me in for a fill on very short notice, however I would NEVER ever go back. This was the most painful eyelash fill experience I have ever had. She says she was not pulling out my eyelashes , but it sure felt like it and I have gaps with no lashes that I did not have before going in to see her. She was aggressive with her "manipulation" of my eyes in a way that I have never experienced with any other eyelash salon and my right eye is puffy and bruised. I felt "manhandedled" and what ever you do DO NOT let her put the tape that she uses under your eyes. I have never had tape from any other salon hurt my skin that way before. She does not use the gentle pads and supplies used in better salons. Sadly my eyelashes looked better (even though I was due for a fill) before I went in. A total waste of time and money. read more

Others have said that it's chilly but I haven't felt this way. She always offers me a blanket and I'm sure she'd be happy to turn up the heat if you felt cold. A sweet professional lady. Kim was super nice and let me and my mom come in for full sets of eyelashes late notice. Although she was really nice we were not pleased with how the eyelashes looked. I knew something was not right when she did not do anything to the eyelashes, didn't put tape under or anything like that. She just started. It took 45 minutes each, which also isn't right. She rushed very fast and carelessly, and the end result was ok but not worth the money. Within the next two days my eyelashes were falling out already, super irritating because it felt like there was spaces in between my real eyelash and the extension and made it feel really crusty. My mom pulled hers out because of how bad they got. I went to a different place to get a fill and they couldn't even do it because of how much glue was used before so the lady had to take out all the eyelashes and I had to just get another full set. All within a 2 week time frame. Such a disappointment. Kim is super nice but should consider learning more about how to do eyelash extensions. read more

i found kim's salon through the thurston county 'at a glance' coupon book. i went there for eyelash extensions. i never received the free waxing that is promised with the coupon. not knowing any different at this point the scotch tape she used to hold down my lower lashes was really sharp. the lashes were really heavy and she glued some to my lashes as anchors, but then created a 'bridge' of fake lashes all glued together. after a week or so the entire thing just looked a mess as a lash came unglued. i was also not able to ever close my eyes tightly (to prevent water from getting in them in the shower or pool). after doing this for some time, i started going to a different salon. she glues 1 extension to 1 lash. they are light and VERY natural looking. no more scotch tape! read more

Definitely on my top list for eyelash extensions!! She such a sweet and kind lady who really does know what she's doing!! I'm always use to getting super long lashes but she recommended me to get smaller sizes because of how my eye is shaped, and I'm so glad i took her advice cause I love the length they are now and I'm always getting compliments on how amazing and natural they look! Another reason why I love going to her is she does such a fast job! Ive never had someone do my lashes in 60mins before and I was so scared they were gonna look terrible but they turned out amazing! I went to Kim for lash extensions. I had a horrific allergic reaction to the glue. Kim removed the lashes, but not all of the glue. Ended up in the ER with 2nd degree chemical burns on both corneas and eyes swollen shut. Missed 2 days of work. I emailed pictures of my eyes to Kim. She never replied, called to check on me, or offered any kind of refund. If you decide to try this ASK for an allergy test first, and insist on glue for sensitive eyes. I didn't know anything about the glues used or the allergy testing and Kim didn't inform me of it either. This was a VERY costly and painful lesson for me. So I went into Kim's salon yesterday for a full set of eyelash extensions and today I'm on day two of bawling my eyes out. I had told her that I wanted long full lashes with a slight cat eye (little longer on the outer corners of my eyes) and what I got was what looked like when you google "spider eyelash extensions". They were damn near touching my eyebrows and twisted and glued to one another completely at the base of the lashes. All I could smell the entire time was very familiar smell..when I got home it clicked and I realized what she had been using was superglue. You can feel the hard glue halfway up the lashes and it is extremely painful to even blink. I knew something was up when I told her my right eye was burning pretty bad and she says "oh that's normal" and brushed it off..what she meant is that this is a normal feeling you get when you have a gallon of crazy glue poured on your eyes.and she's glueing these VERY THICK fake plastic horse hair looking and feeling lashes poking onto the eyelids. I now regret ever going anywhere else but to Kelsey at PrimpLash who's work has always been flawless 100% of the time and makes the experience fun and comfortable.
