I've been playing tennis at Liberty Park for about two years and I love it! Everything from the…read morequality of the courts, the staff and coaches, the fellow tennis players, and even the prices are great! The staff is super friendly - there are about three different ladies who are usually running the front desk. If you've played here at least a handful of times, chances are they will greet you by name. They are super friendly, helpful, and always have a smile on their faces. The coaches are great as well - have a lot of experience and work with you to improve your game, whether you're taking a private lesson, at the group workouts, or just chatting it up between sets. The courts and nets are in prime condition. All 12(?) courts are lighted, and 4 courts are in the bubble during the winter so you can play year round. There's usually always court availability unless there is a tournament they are hosting. Only caveat is that there is a fee to use their courts I take private lessons with Lani every once in a while. Lani is the head tennis pro at Liberty Park and she is awesome! she has an extensive and impressive tennis resume, both professionally and coaching experience. I definitely get an amazing workout at my private lessons because Lani pushes me to become a better player. One of the best things at Liberty is that they do group workouts just about every day of the week and for every skill level. They have group workouts for different levels both during the day and evenings during weekdays - absolute beginners to those who play competitively. Sat and Sun mornings they do cardio tennis or stroke workshops. Lots of fun doing drills, playing out points and meeting new people! And like i mentioned before, it's always nice to be able to play tennis during the winter months too! Here are the general fees, but don't quote me on it: Court fees: $6/hr during the summer. It's definitely more when the bubble is up (there are only four courts). I think it's something like $20/hr in the bubble Private Lessons: $60/hr and they have promotions sometimes where you buy 6 lessons for $300 Group workouts: $15 or $75 for 6 workouts

Two courts, two pros-- today it was Derrick and Healey(sp?) who kept all the participants moving, but covered important tips, patterns and shot selections for improving your doubles game. I take private lessons with Derrick whenever I'm in town-- he really cares about enabling people to play their best. I appreciate that he doesn't yell-- he projects-- across the court with very simple modifications. He's very patient with people of any skill level who try to the best of their ability. But where he is exceptional and exceeds most coaches is in his collection of experiences and tools to draw out the best in elite athletes. Always fun to visit.

Everything about this gym's equipment is just genuinely old and crummy. I mentioned to management that their pool is unbearably cold. The kids that were getting in the pool (on several occasions) were getting blue lips and it just seemed to get colder as the months went on and my youngest refused to get in anymore. Old people would get in the pool and just say, "Sure is miserable, isn't it?" Management told me that the pool temp was optimal and that basically I just need to deal with it. A week later they are replacing a water pump in the pool. It's just a really disrespectful management atmosphere. My husband's father died and we were going to be out of state for two weeks and since this gym is SO expensive, I asked if we could get some sort of refund or credit while we were gone. They told me "no sorry" and that was it. I told them that I have never had a gym treat death in a family so lightly and how cruel that is. It was only after having to remind them to treat people right that they decided maybe they could put our account on hold for two weeks. Like, how on earth have they gotten that low that they weren't willing to offer that without hesitation initially? Very unfortunate and just so cocky. This gym is SOOOOOO much more expensive than any gym in the area and just doesn't make sense how they can be so cocky and rude when their gym really is the oldest and crummiest gym I've ever been to. Their classes are pretty good but the yoga room is so cramped that it makes class squishy a lot and the speakers in the room are so old that they break a lot. It's really something. I think young moms get taken advantage of the most because a one-year-old that can be in the kids' club for an hour costs just as much as a 17-year-old child that could go to the gym all day, every day. I'm planning on going to the Marshall White Center that's opening back up soon and I think a lot of young moms will come with me because this gym is WAY too expensive for what you actually get out of the facility.

I've been going to OAC for about 4 years, none of the equipment is the same brand, size, or similar in quality. It's a dated gym and half the time, machines or equipment are broken. When they do repair they its usually very poor quality. It's a very dated gym and the average cost of a membership is about 50% more than local gyms. It takes a long time for equipment to be repaired and they have more "don't do this" signs than anything I've ever seen. Things like, "dont use your phone" "don't wear sandals" Dont move this, don't move that etc. I really enjoyed the members, everyone is very nice and super friendly. The only real upside is that the kid care is AWESOME. The staff is very friendly, and they have a free area where older kids can just chill and watch movie. Great for the summer. They always have different crafts for the kids to do too. That's why they get 2 stars not 1.

After golf, the group left in the van to head back to the MARC without my 10 year old son. TWO counselors, 9 children, and the counselors didn't realize they had forgotten my son until I called about 45 minutes later to inform them. My son called me from the golf shop after looking for his "group" for about 20 minutes. He did not steer away from the group or go to the bathroom. The only response we received to this situation was a call, 4 days later to apologize and offer a refund.

I didn't see any other signs that said what was what way besides the ones my group put up. Everything looked clean and taken care of. I didn't use the locker room or restrooms. They do have a bar attached that was a nice bonus. We only got drinks but they do have food as well. Next time I'll have to try some.
