I ended up hiring Pete and I could not have made a better choice. He came and took all my doors with him to his workshop. Next step he put up tarps and refinished the frames right there in my house. He was very clean and after he left you couldn't even tell anybody had sanded in my house. When he brought back the doors and mounted them with the new hardware it looked like a brand new kitchen. When we wanted to have our front door refinished, I went to Yelp. Brian stood out, as all of his…read morereviews mentioned him specifically being the person doing the work and everyone was pleased with the end result. While it made me nervous that he didn't have a lot of reviews, his reviews read as very genuinely happy customers. Some of the other door refinishing companies either contract the work out with more mixed results or have a team that may change (based on names mentioned in the reviews changing). Brian wasn't the cheapest, but his price was not much more than the lower prices and I wanted to be sure the door came out nicely. I think he was $25 more per side. We had him refinish both sides, so $50 more than his competition. He was booked out for a few weeks, but we didn't mind waiting. The day of the job, he arrived on time and prepared, and he went straight to work. He took his time sanding it down perfectly and it truly shows in the end result. Our door looks great. When I was indecisive about color, he swatched 3 for me on the door to see. Very accommodating. Ultimately, I have no complaints, only praise. We wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.
