This hotel was included with my Globus tour. It has an old school charm to it, with red on wood decor. The hotel has a back and front entrance. The rooms were very nice. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were clean. The shower pressure wasn't great but it was adequate. The bath tub has a jacuzzi which i didn't use. Breakfast was good. Location. Great place to stay when heading to ring of Kerry. Town had a several restaurants and shops. Cute town Hotel was lovely. When i walked in the door i was immediately impressed as we were keeping prices down so not staying at really expensive places. They were kind enough to put our twin beds together so we could sleep together. Tub had jets and a soak felt lovely. Slept well but in all fairness we were very tired. Definitely spring for the breakfast. Great selection wish all our trip breakfasts were similar. Love they had a pool but didnt use it. Hotel is at Great location. We parked across the street but it was not included. Town fun to walk and explore. read more

Pre COVID my sister and I were touring Ireland with a Brendan Tour. We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was fine, clean enough, and I really enjoyed that it was in the heart of Killarney with pubs, restaurants and shops right there, so that was great. It was within walking distance to the show "Gaelic Roots" (highly recommend BTW). Only negative, this hotel is used by multiple tour groups so morning, noon and night the lobby was crowded with tourists from the tour groups (I'm not putting down the tourists as I was on a tour as well) but it was hard to move around as the lobby is small. Also the breakfast buffet in the morning was constantly jammed packed, again with all us tourists, myself included. It was kind of exhausting to deal with that. So if you are not with a tour you might keep that in mind. I know if I wasn't with a tour that would have really irritated me. Since I was with the tour it wasn't optional to choose to go elsewhere. read more

Wasn't a horrible stay but wouldn't stay here again. The staff was just very crabby and not accommodating at all. Not to mention there is no parking lot for guests. You have to park a 10 minute walk away and walk all the way to the hotel. Better drop off your luggage at the front or you'll be hauling it for a long walk. Nobody helps you with luggage to your room when checking in/out, nobody helps with handicapped guests. The breakfast was ok. They had a flier that said they'd make an omelette for you upon request, when we asked one of the chefs they said they only have two options for eggs and would not make the omelette. I don't expect them to fulfill any special requests but why say you'll make it and then refuse when asked to make it? The pancakes were hard like they'd been sitting out. The receptionists were crabby and gave attitude when asked if they could validate our parking passes. It honestly felt like the guests were just a bother to the staff. It's a fine choice if you don't care but if you're expecting to be catered to or at least treated as a guest, this isn't the place. read more

We were booked for two nights in this hotel. After a full day of sightseeing, on our second day there, our room keys were deactivated. So after climbing several flights of stairs (there is only ONE elevator) to clean up for dinner in our room, we had to traipse back down to get new room keys, and AGAIN climb the stairs once we got reactivated room keys. No conditioner. Conditioning shampoo is only used by hotels who are too cheap to provide actual, useful conditioner. Hotelier? You're not fooling anyone. International travelers really appreciate when we don't have to pack our own shampoo and conditioner, lotion, hair dryer, etc. When you stock the room with useless, cheap product, we are never coming back. This place is substandard. It's got contemporary furnishings in the lobby, but that's where the gloss ends. Dinner included no fresh vegetables other than butternut squash, no green vegetables other than a field greens salad. The dessert choices look good but these are not made in-house. They are full of processed goo. Awful. They get two stars for having marginally working air conditioning and a passably sleepable bed. The breakfast was okay. They offer over hard eggs in a chafing dish which was much preferred to the scrambled eggs from a carton swimming in watery curdle. Sausage, bacon, beans and other traditional breakfast fare was fine. Mushrooms were not traditional, but were really good. read more

Killarney is a great town. This hotel was excellent. I didn't have a nice view from my room but I wasn't planning on spending much time in there anyway. The dinner buffet was delicious. The breakfast buffet is nice. They serve what every other hotel I stayed at served. The location is unbeatable. Near all the action but on a quiet enough street to get some good rest. There is also a nice little pub attached that has live music every night. I took a 9 day tour of Ireland. If you are staying in Killarney. Take a jaunty ride through the national park. It was one of my favorite things to do on my trip. read more

The wifi sucks so hard. Took me 30 minutes to post this. But they do include slippers in the room and have a jacuzzi.

This hotel is located in the party district. It also has late night entertainment on site. Unfortunately, the walls and windows do nothing to block the sound. If you want to get to sleep at a reasonable hour, do not book this hotel. Also, their wifi blocks and restricts access to websites arbitrarily. All in all, if you are not looking for a spring break atmosphere, find somewhere else to stay. Had to edit this review at 4 am. Seems there is a cinema at the rear of the hotel where drunken party-goers gather to wait for bus rides home. After calling the front desk and the local police, this is to be expected. Actually, the police dispatcher asked me "What do you expect. You're in a party town and you're staying downtown" After a couple of requests, the dispatcher agreed to have someone "Go 'round and have a word with them" So, dear folks, you may wish to avoid Killarney should you want to be able to get more than a few hours sleep. Accomodations/Cost: (4.5) A night here during off-peak tourist season in the winter months is about 50 euros/night. For that price, the accommodations are top notch. There is free wi-fi in the rooms, the impeccable bathrooms have a jacuzzi, they provide you with all toiletries and amenities (including a vanity kit and shower caps), and the lobby and restaurant areas of the hotel are classy and well-decorated (though it borders somewhat on being to cluttered depending on your decor sensibilities). The sleeping area in the rooms themselves and the closet could be a bit bigger; and the carpet, bed coverings and drapes are a bit outdated, but who really spends all that much time in a room when there's so much to see and do outside? Though the rooms are clean, the small size and furnishings brought my rating down half a star, despite the low-ish price. On another note, please try the scrambled eggs here at the breakfast buffet. They are amazing. I'm not sure if they steam it or something but they are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Location: (5) Killarney Towers is conveniently situation on one of the main streets of Killarney, College Street, and is hard to miss as you go through the city. It's a short stroll to restaurants, convenient stores (there's a Spar right next door), pubs, shopping (an outlet is right down the street), and more. Service: (5) The staff here were all helpful and friendly. When we asked for a dinner recommendation nearby, the male staff member actually walked with us outside to point out the direction we should go. Even the hostess at breakfasts greeted us with a smile early in the morning. Overall: (4) The public, common areas here are trendy and pretty. Strangely, I felt like more attention went into the upkeep of the bathrooms than the rooms themselves, but at their reasonable price point, I'm not complaining too much about the rooms. read more

We stayed on the top floor and somehow managed to hear the downstairs dance club well into the middle of the night as if we were next door to it. Staff apologized but did nothing. Music went on until 2 am. And the better part was that the fire alarm kept going off in the middle of the night. Disappointing on both. Find an acoustician! read more

When you stay at Kalarney towers for eight nights in nine days and when you don't feel well and you just asked for fruit and the Cook on the line says we don't serve food dinner well last night Thursday night they did ask for food to be brought up for somebody else it wasn't an issue but when you ask a chef can I just get fruit to eat and he says no we don't serve it at dinner and an entire kitchen is full of fruit I think that's bullshit I don't know if I'll do this trip again because I'm definitely not gonna stay at the Killarney towers againPlus when the music is so loud and you can hear rooms next-door and it's just party party party or not into partying all the time. It also doesn't look good for the kitchen because it's a chef asking for fruit whatever happened to making sure your guest is happy I guess it doesn't happen in this hotel read more

This hotel was among the top places we stayed on our tour. It's a massive hotel where lots of tour groups stay. I think there were eight when we arrived - it was kind of crazy. However, service was wonderful, with nice, helpful people at the reception desk, bar, and restaurant. I had a small squee of excitement upon entering the bathroom - there were washcloths (hard to find at many hotels), a full shower with a shower curtain (yay!), a jacuzzi tub, and AC. The hotel is right in the Killarney city centre, so it's a few short steps to lots of shopping, pubs, and restaurants. This makes it easy to stagger home from the bar, which is fun! They also had a very small fitness center, which was better than nothing. The thing that set this place apart from the others was the buffet dinner they put on - the variety was much wider than our previous meals on this tour, including a selection of fresh salads, which we haven't seen a whole lot of. We spent an excellent few nights at the Killarney Towers Hotel as part of a Trafalgar tour. Rooms were comfortable and the hotel was conveniently located. Best part was the staff was wonderful. We left jewelry in the room and did not notice it was missing for several hours. The hotel staff located it and mailed it back to the U.S for us! Anne and Szabina went above and beyond for us! Hotel is generally fine and clean, rooms are nice, but have to give a lower rating because of their Wifi service. MAJOR ISSUES with their Wifi. First. You need to log into their pop up frequently so your device can't connect on it's own during the night and backup, VERY bad user experience. Set a password for the wifi or just have it open, don't use those pointless 3rd party logins. Second. They use a VERY overzealous filters. You cannot visit many benign sites or services from the common areas or your room. VPN services are blocked. For example urban dictionary is blocked. I would not come back to this hotel, nor would I book with any that have similar internet policies. read more

This was a lovely hotel to stay in. The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom beautiful. There are at least two bars. Leisure center is nice (although no jacuzzi).
