They had a really nice variety of cooked food available, which is perfect if you're looking to grab a quick hot meal. Everything looked fresh and smelled delicious. The bakery was the real stand out for me. Their cakes are absolutely delicious, moist, flavorful, and beautifully made. This is my go to spot for birthday cakes these days. The produce section was also a highlight. Their vegetable selection was amazing. Everything looked vibrant, fresh, and beautifully arranged. You can tell they take pride in their presentation and quality. Prices are really high, but honestly, that's to be expected with this type of store. Overall, a great spot to grab last minute groceries, a hot meal, or a sweet treat.

Their menudo is amazing ....I usually eat it every weekend. It's my go staple to recharge over the weekend. That and an energy drink. Their tortas are also epic! Highly recommend!!! I've noticed they are getting busier and busier so morning is probably the best time. Say around 10 -10:30 am. Especially on wkends. It can also get packed .. bring patience and manners. The ambiance inside the market is also nice ..not overpowering like say Albertsons. They have a great selection of food and drinks...not only alcohol but energy drinks, waters, Starbucks bottled coffee and sodas as well. When I was sick, I came here with a mask on and ordered their caldo de res...with all the veggies and the warm broth it actually helped me feel better. Plus the generous chunks of veggies helped me get some nutrition in me. That and the menudo on the weekends are what I believe helped me get past being sick. Truly grateful for this place being nearby!! I highly recommend this market.....it has amazing food, amazing employees, and a really decent selection. Need laundry soap but think you have to go to name brand store? Nope! Head over towards the butcher in the back, across from the pan dulce and you'll find it! They also have instant coffee and creamer. Speaking of their pan dulce ... absolutely must try!! It's delicious!!!

If it's close to expiration, it will bagged up already for you at a very discounted price. These are normally sitting in shopping carts off to the side. Some folks come here and do their regular grocery shopping, because the lower priced items make up for the slightly higher priced stuff. End result- you are mostly spending the same in the end. There are deals to be had, just take the time and look. Fresh butcher shop/carnicería, fresh corn & flour tortillas(made here), quality pan dulce and even prepared food to order- called Elena's Kitchen- are all reasons to come here. We come for the tortillas, produce and hot food. I like the rolled tacos, the lady likes the menudo. Quick service with no attitudes too. We both like the rice and beans & wanna try more things! Definitely worth checking out when in the area.

This place named itself "sushi bar," but it also says it's an authentic Mexican seafood restaurant?…read moreThat feels like an identity crisis lol. I was given chips, salsa, and an appetizer soup thing in a cup. The chips were fine. I thought the soup was alright. I didn't like the salsa as I found it too watery and lacking in flavor, more like a hot sauce than a salsa. I ordered two hand rolls, a spicy tuna roll and a salmon skin roll. I thought they were good. I found the salmon skin too crispy and deep fried for my preference, but it was still good. Finally, I realized that not only do I never eat authentic Mexican seafood, I'm not even sure what that entails. So I dug through the menu and saw something called "Don Tono," described as stuffed with seafood, but without much other explanation. I asked the waitress what this Don Tono is exactly, and to my surprise, she wasn't sure either. So, of course I had to order it. It was a big thing of aluminum foil with goodies inside, kinda like a seafood bake. It was good, although I found the flavor to be a undertuned. I would've liked some Cajun seasoning. The best texture and taste was probably the fish itself as it was light and flaky without being mushy, and it absorbed the umami of some of the other seafood. I thought the shrimp and shellfish were just okay, and maybe just a tad overcooked for me. Honestly, I was also not a huge fan of the cheese here; I feel like it doesn't quite fit. I also got some rice and salad with it, which were both fine.

I got a couple rolls to go as well as some edamame. All serviceable, nothing remarkable but an…read moreinexpensive option for some decent sushi! Fun decor in this place! When I came in to pick up my food there was no one at the host stand and it seems like there was one waiter running the whole show during busy lunch time. This lady, Jody ( Jody Walker I think) white and kind of tall, was giving me attitude. I've worked in retail before and a smile goes a long way. I was about to pay when something went wrong with my card and the cashier had to leave so she told me to give the receipt to the next cashier to come. When Jody came she said "I can help whoever is next" and I was very clearly standing at the register. I was about to explain what happened and she didn't even let me finish when she interrupted me and said "you're going to have to go to the front desk". Which was already a bad start when she interrupted me. Then I finished explaining and she said "you're going to have to wait in line" and I said "but I was about to pay?" And she said "well you can wait in the line". The line was LONG it's not fair that I have to wait all over again when I was already about to pay. A different cashier called me over so she could ring me up which was sweet of her. If her tone would've been different then I wouldn't be leaving this review.
