I have been there before and I should have known not to go back but I really needed to be seen quickly. The last time I went there I had a tumor growing on my eyelid and they messed around with me and wasted precious time! This time I saw Dr. Wells and she was more interested in telling me about her upcoming trip to D.C. than she was in listening to my health concerns. She told me that I would need to wait until she returned before she could do a biopsy to find out if I have psoriasis or not or that she would be able to go ahead and give me a prescription of shampoo to try until I came back in a month later. She said that if I started with the shampoo, then I would need to stop before the biopsy because it would have an effect on the biopsy results. I took the prescription but did not get it filled because she scared me away from starting any medication. After talking this over and doing my own research, I decided to get a 2nd opinion and luckily found another dermatologist who was willing to schedule me the next week. This dermatologist said that I didn't need a biopsy and that I clearly had psoriasis. She started me on an oral medication and provided me several prescriptions for itching in my ears, the shampoo, and the medication that you leave on your scalp. The dermatologist that I got the 2nd opinion from was very caring and I will be leaving a 5 star review for her after I finish writing this. Please don't go to this office if you are expecting someone who cares because you won't get it. Go to another office! Needless to say, even though this office is very convenient to my location, I called them back to say I would not be returning.

I had actually gone to a different dermatologist and had been told some things that I didn't think sounded right and wanted a 2nd opinion. This office scheduled me to be seen the same week! I went in and saw their NP and she was so kind and caring. I have never had problems with my scalp before and I was scared that something serious was wrong because I have had a type of cancer on my eyelid before that I had to have removed and had to have reconstructive surgery. She settled me down and said that she believed I had psoriasis. She prescribed an oral medication and an oral medication to help with the itching. She also prescribed a shampoo and something to leave on my scalp. I am scheduled to return next week and I am so relieved that I trusted my instincts and scheduled a 2nd opinion with this office. The other dermatologist office told me that I needed a biopsy to find out if I had psoriasis and this medical provider said I did not need one for her to know that I had this condition and that she would start me on medications and if they didn't work, we would look at stronger medications when I came back. She put me at ease and settled me down because I was so frustrated and scared and had been dealing with this for over a month before I went to the dermatologist. This is a friendly, clean office and the staff is quite busy but seem to care about their patients. Schedule with them because you will be pleased!

I met him for a removal of a lower leg basal cell cancerous growth. The procedure & result were painless and very satisfying. I returned for a lipoma removal from my forehead. I highly recommend him and his team.

I was advised that the…read moreBotox was on 'back order' when the PA finally got to me in the room and if that was known to me when I first checked in, I would have waited for it to come in. So, I was giving the alternative to try jeuveau. I should have known better because of how I was asking the PA questions and she was very skeptical and hesitant with her answers that I should not have done it. But I tried it anyway thinking maybe it could be better. Afterwards, I talked to my sister who stated that it sounded really weird that Botox, of all things, would be on "backorder" and that she felt that I was pretty much bamboozled by them trying to push a new product because of the almighty dollar. As soon as she said it, I felt the same!! I was also told this was going to work faster than even the Botox. And it has done absolutely nothing!! I was able to see results within hours from Botox but not with this stuff. Nothing!! I don't suggest it. I'm 50 and only do Botox for the crease between my eyes. So, I have lost out on $165 for something that was suggested by the PA with her not even really knowing the effects of it because she even said she hasn't used it and that one's on me. Lesson learned. 3 stars bc I seriously feel now that I was nothing but a simple sale and now I'm stuck for 3 months of not being able to actually get Botox. Needless to say, the crease between my eyes seems to be more pissed off at this point. Maria, medical assistant, is awesomeness though!!! So 5 STARS for her!!! But then again, she had to know there was no Botox too.... Hmmmm.

I was pressured to have the treatment during this visit and agreed to. There was no numbing gel provided and I had to tell the doctor several times to STOP as it was excruciatingly painful. My face was so red, swollen and painful that I waited a full week before calling the office. I could see the laser had scooped sections off my nose that left my pores enlarged, something I never had before. PLUS there were areas across my face where the doctor's application of the laser was done unevenly and it was very visible. The staff who answered was not responsive and would not allow me to speak with the doctor. She said they were understaffed. I decided to send photos so they could see the damage. I have remained indoors and worn sunblock and wide hats daily and the treatment only left me with scars but did NOT remove or even lessen the brown patches. I also never was credited back the $50 I was promised. It has been one year now and even though I avoid the sun, wear Elta and Obagi sunblock and wide SPF hats I still have the brown spots/splotches and the scars Dr Sherman gave me during his treatment. In his own words, Dr Sherman said he used that laser for tattoo removals but he still used it giving me confidence it would work. I would NOT go to Dr Sherman for hyper-pigmentation or brown spot removal with lasers. Save your money and drive to a larger office where this service is done regularly, has proven results and the staff is professional and attentive. You will not get this at Dr Sherman's office. I wasted a lot of money and look worse now. I am very disappointed.
