Yesterday I went to Southern Vanity in order to receive my Botox shots. I was advised that the…read moreBotox was on 'back order' when the PA finally got to me in the room and if that was known to me when I first checked in, I would have waited for it to come in. So, I was giving the alternative to try jeuveau. I should have known better because of how I was asking the PA questions and she was very skeptical and hesitant with her answers that I should not have done it. But I tried it anyway thinking maybe it could be better. Afterwards, I talked to my sister who stated that it sounded really weird that Botox, of all things, would be on "backorder" and that she felt that I was pretty much bamboozled by them trying to push a new product because of the almighty dollar. As soon as she said it, I felt the same!! I was also told this was going to work faster than even the Botox. And it has done absolutely nothing!! I was able to see results within hours from Botox but not with this stuff. Nothing!! I don't suggest it. I'm 50 and only do Botox for the crease between my eyes. So, I have lost out on $165 for something that was suggested by the PA with her not even really knowing the effects of it because she even said she hasn't used it and that one's on me. Lesson learned. 3 stars bc I seriously feel now that I was nothing but a simple sale and now I'm stuck for 3 months of not being able to actually get Botox. Needless to say, the crease between my eyes seems to be more pissed off at this point. Maria, medical assistant, is awesomeness though!!! So 5 STARS for her!!! But then again, she had to know there was no Botox too.... Hmmmm.

I needed an appointment and since it had been over a year since I had seen my last dermatologist, I…read morewas given their information. I had actually gone to a different dermatologist and had been told some things that I didn't think sounded right and wanted a 2nd opinion. This office scheduled me to be seen the same week! I went in and saw their NP and she was so kind and caring. I have never had problems with my scalp before and I was scared that something serious was wrong because I have had a type of cancer on my eyelid before that I had to have removed and had to have reconstructive surgery. She settled me down and said that she believed I had psoriasis. She prescribed an oral medication and an oral medication to help with the itching. She also prescribed a shampoo and something to leave on my scalp. I am scheduled to return next week and I am so relieved that I trusted my instincts and scheduled a 2nd opinion with this office. The other dermatologist office told me that I needed a biopsy to find out if I had psoriasis and this medical provider said I did not need one for her to know that I had this condition and that she would start me on medications and if they didn't work, we would look at stronger medications when I came back. She put me at ease and settled me down because I was so frustrated and scared and had been dealing with this for over a month before I went to the dermatologist. This is a friendly, clean office and the staff is quite busy but seem to care about their patients. Schedule with them because you will be pleased!

I met him for a removal of a lower leg basal cell cancerous growth. The procedure & result were painless and very satisfying. I returned for a lipoma removal from my forehead. This was another promising experience. I am a retired Registered Nurse and I fully appreciate the efforts of Dr. Kight, his nursing staff and office staff while I am in their care. I highly recommend him and his team.
