At night the darkness allows the stars to stare down upon you. The camp has only about 25ish sites with one community shower/bath house that's heated and clean but the grounds are very small. They have a descent playground for the little ones, you can hike in the vicinity and a bike trail ( 7 flat miles) close by that's safe for kids with a pool in the summer. No RV sewer hook ups at individual sites. $30+ per night is cheap.

The kids are always engaged in some sort of wonderful summer time fun from pedal karts to archery to swimming, fishing, ceramics, computers. You name it, they likely have it for your child. It turns out my worries were completely unfounded, as the entire staff at Camp College immediately put my mind at ease. Nurse Amira managed my child's Allergy Action Plan like a pro, and the staff in turn took careful safety precautions to ensure that there were no accidental exposures. Anthony, Christine, and Stacie were wonderful about making accommodations so that my son could participate alongside his neurotypical peers, and he even had a special "buddy counselor" who he absolutely loved! Both Science and Arts camps were exciting and engaging, with new projects and experiments being returned home daily. Camp College is truly a family, where each child is respected, included, and cherished. I cannot recommend this organization enough!

It's the people who are doing this, Doug and his team. They are the reason LakeView Day Camp has been a huge success since Doug took over. Doug and his team are in this to serve the families, not just to have commercial success. The programming is brilliant. They really try hard to accommodate any issues and things do happen so tell them if there is an issue so they can help. They have corrected bus issues or stepped in to address other minor problems over the years and always left us feeling like they really care about their campers. Doug, the owner is very visible and works hard to leave campers with a positive experience whether they are 5 or 15 years old. They have a beautiful camp with a lovely lake, a hot lunch and healthy snacks like fruit. They just put in a huge new pool 2 years ago. They have a nice teen program as well.

Big rink for indoor ice skating -- came here a couple times with a friend for regular skating. When…read morethe ice is smooth, it is so fun to go around, and you are never in any danger of bumping into anyone, because it doesn't get packed like the outdoor rink at Roosevelt Park or any touristy rink in NY. However, sometimes you get those hockey kids, and they purposely skate fast and weave in and out of wobbly people, so that can get a little nerve wracking. It's also rude and inconsiderate but considering those guys are teens, it's kind of forgivable, I suppose. Have a decent seating area upstairs that always looks clean, well maintained, with plenty of tables and chairs where they sell food. You can also look out and watch people skating. I've watched some figure skaters practicing and it's a lot of fun! Nice people at the front desk, very helpful with questions. Big lot, plenty of parking.
