I won't lie, I was worried when the cleaning team we had been fortunate to have for five years, moved out of state. They were wonderful. I tried to adjust my expectations and concentrate on finding a company quickly. The one and only I checked out based on reviews, and interviewed, was Kidwell's Kleaning. Denise came and did an in-home visit first, as the company owner. I thought this was respectful of us as the homeowners as well as her employees. We're going on six months now of cleaning every two weeks and we could not be happier! Kidwell's team and our most frequent cleaner, stepped in and didn't miss a beat. The house looks great and we're so grateful! I am a small business owner working from home and I had seriously considered hiring a virtual assistant. I hire then year ago , after noticed dust under the bed on the ceiling fan and on the high dresser that can be reached with 2-3 step ladder. I ask them to clean it , they told me they don't do such a things, so when you hire them if you want to get clean everywhere and not just what you see then that's not this company, we also bring the manager to the house after their job and she look at all the complaints then we get email from them saying it's better for us to hire housekeeper with our needs ‍ Do if you hire them check under furniture or on top and you will see dust on it, including under your bed and ceiling fans as well which can be reached with 2-3 step ladder!!! read more

We hired Kidwell's Kleaning for a move-out clean recently. The process of getting a quote, scheduling and finalizing a contract was efficient and done with care! They answered all questions I had and were very patient. They had two people come to work on a 2400+ sq ft house and both were very nice! They did an amazing job cleaning all things and even asked if there were specific areas/items to focus on! I will say I used the company twice. Both cleanings were excellent. My issue was they were supposed to send us people as the 2nd house not the 1st. They were supposed to be here at 9:30-10am. The first person who was lovely showed up at 8 am the 2nd also wonderful at 8:40 am. I called Veronica and said very clearly I asked to be the 2nd house. She apologized for the "mix up" we were not ready for them. I had worked all weekend, was exhausted and it was my only day off. I had longed to sleep in, that did not happen. We scrambled to get ready for them quickly. The cleaners were excellent. The price was shocking. We paid a $75 deposit. The 1st time it was $200 ish, the 2nd time for a small townhouse for what should have been 5 hrs not over 6 was over $400. We were SHOCKED and saddened. Not sure how the same cleaning on the same townhouse that did not include cleaning 3 major rooms in the house was more than $200 more dollars this time. Literally, shocked. The only way they would comp us $35 would to become a regular. Not at those prices. I wanted to use them again but I feel like we were robbed . So, in summary f you want a great job they will do it but be prepared for major sticker shock. In the market for another more reasonably priced service. read more

We have been using Kidwells for about 2-3 months or so. The cleanings were very thorough and the cleaners we've had were very pleasant. We did have a few more minor issues but overall we were happy with the service. However, on the last cleaning their vacuum caught fire in our house. Our babysitter actually saw the flames and alerted the cleaners. Our babysitter is bilingual and heard one of the ladies shout- "it just burst into flames!" And the other lady said "How can that be?" in Spanish. Luckily everyone in the house at the time (including my young daughter) and the house itself were all fine... but it was a very dangerous situation that should not have occurred. And we do not wish to have it happen again. We feel this is very serious. We are switching services, as we wish to work with a company that makes safety a priority. read more

I used this service for about 2.5 years before I moved out of their coverage area. While I thought they did a great job while they were cleaning for me, I appreciate it even more now that I've tried a few different services in my new location & look forward to moving back to Frederick. I am really picky about the bathrooms & kitchen floors (since they're my least favorite to do myself - sounds kind of wrong to write that, but isn't that why we hire a cleaning service?) and they were always so perfect. If you want a half-ass house cleaning, this is your company! They show up at a different time every single time they come, so it will always be a surprise when they show up. They don't go out of their way to do an outstanding job, are not personable, and are clearly not motivated. They do not move anything to clean around it; for example, I have a full-length mirror that leans against the wall, there have been two rocks from one of my plants behind that mirror for a month now, and they have been here 3 times in the past month. The rocks have not moved. If they knock a plant over, they'll pick it back up and throw it in the pot and leave all the dirt all over your carpet for you to clean up when they're gone. If they break something, they leave it sitting on your countertop for you with no explanation. Also, they have a tendency to miss entire rooms. I am so fed up with this company, no more chances. read more

I am so grateful to have found this company! They were professional, kind, quick and honest. I received fast responses and full explanations to all my questions. They are very flexible, too; they can do "green" cleaning or use any other cleaning products, whatever you prefer. The house looked beautfiul when they were done! This was my first time having my house cleaned, so maybe I just don't know about the going rates for this stuff, but my only issue is that it seemed a little pricey. Also, I found out they participate in a program called Cleaning for a Reason which helps provide free housecleaning for women going through cancer treatments. Normally I do not write reviews, but I was so impressed with Kidwell's Kleaning that I thought I should tell the world. It was my first time using a cleaning service so I didn't really know what I was in for, I chose to give Kidwell's a call because I was actually able to find a website for their company unlike most other cleaning companies. I found their website very informative and easy to use, I had a long list of things to do so when I called them up I was greeted by a very pleasant woman who answered all of my questions with no effort at all. The cleaning was scheduled while I was at work which I liked because I got to come home to nice clean house. The prices were very reasonable and I was very happy with their service which is why I have since set up to have them keep coming back twice a month. We provided a very specific priority list to Kidwell's Kleaning which was not followed, and the areas we had requested as the focus were left until last and not completed. When we provided feedback to Kidwell Kleaning, the response was defensive and basically said that they had to pick their priorities for what to clean. For example, the kitchen was our #1 priority, and they left it for last and didn't come close to finishing it. Overall, I would recommend finding someone else... that's what we have to do. read more
