My son and I at KIDSTRONG Carlsbad

I am so happy that we said Y E S to KIDSTRONG!!!! For the first three classes, my son's confidence was low and I had to carry him for the first 10 to 15 minutes, in the beginning of each class. I was wondering if I was wasting my money and I am so glad we stuck it out!!!! My son cannot wait to get to classes, he gets excited every time we put on his jersey. He now does not need me to hold him at all and loves interacting with the kids. He is learning colors, sign language, and definitely increasing his mental and physical capabilities. He is just a little over two years old. I would recommend kidstrong to anyone, hands-down. Tomorrow, my son gets his alpha jersey for his ninth class. We are excited.

I just attended our first KidStrong (3 year old) class with my husband and I cannot say enough amazing things about Damien. You can tell just by watching him work with the kids that he's not only authentically committed to improving the overall well-being of our kiddos, but he's deeply passionate about it. He's the type who truly invests and believes in kids of all abilities and celebrates their unique individuality. A rare, but extremely important trait in coaches/teachers for my son who's on the spectrum. I'm so glad we found this place!

    Individualizing to my son's ability!

Our oldest loved the large play structures and the youngest loved the trampoline and block building area. The cafe team was great and served us quickly, and we were impressed by the number of food items available. The coffee was alright - not amazing - but not terrible. One thing to note if you go is that the café is tucked into a corner so not every seat from the café has a line of site to the play area. And if you have drinks, you have to stay in the café. So if you were planning on having a relaxing coffee, while watching your kids from afar, that is not exactly an option. My only note for improvement would be for the staff to do a little more to help manage particularly physical/destructive children, if/when the parents are not doing enough. When we visited, there was one young child who was running around knocking kids over, knocking over blocks, and just generally being really hyper. That is totally understandable for a young kid, but the parents were nowhere to be found, and the staff clearly looks concerned, but didn't really do anything to help mitigate the situation.

My kids had fun, but it definitely wasn't worth the following week (still going) of illness. Tried to work while my kids played. There's one staff member in the play area, who wasn't really monitoring the kids. There also weren't really plugs if you need to charge. I had to rearrange furniture to situate myself next to the plug.

I will say, however, that this place is so big that you can very easily lose track of your kids. There were a few times on our last visit where I was scanning the playground for a minute or two trying to find one of my kids after looking after another one for a bit. But don't worry. There really is only one in and out so you don't have to worry about kids wandering off if you are around that bottleneck point. This is a great attraction that I hope the park never gets rid of. It offers kids a space to run around & just goof off and be kids while also blowing off steam. The only point of improvement I can think of if maybe offer some more (shaded) seating for parents. On hot days that would be greatly appreciated.

He remembered it very well from our past visits. It is a second story playground and it is big enough for adults to shadow your littles if needed. On this day it looked as though an employee was monitoring at the top. I'm not sure if it was because it was near closing time or they are there for the safety of the little ones. There is a short wall that you could sit on to watch your kids from afar, This grand playground is great for the kids to burn some energy that's for sure! The kids have fun running place to place it makes me want to join them. If you haven't visit this playground it is a must. P.S. Grab some Apple Fries beforehand from the stand adjacent to the playground. Great snacking as you watch the play.

I have never quite witnessed so many kids ages 7-12 with so much haphazard recklessness, running full speed in every imaginable direction. All of them. Imagine, 150 kids running full speed in every direction. Then a large handful of adults or parents running in every imaginable OPPOSITE direction. I saw several kids slam into another kid as they go around an obstacle on the floor. I care, no concern. I also saw two kids running, NO . . . now walking bleeding from their nose and another from the mouth. This should be outlawed. CritDicks

Yet all the 3 parents with the extra kiddos was trying to cover for their kids at the front and they even insisted to pay and the lady at the front said don't worry about it if there is any extra I will take care of it, Au today they just text me that I have a bill to pay for those extra kiddos. It's a shoe-free facility and staff is doing a great job at keeping the facility sanitized and sparkling. So many fun play areas here, and everything is safe and thoughtfully designed. Lots of pretend play rooms--kitchens, doll houses, dress up--but also lots of space for big movement play, like slides and monkey bars. We loved that we could rent out the entire space for two hours. We didn't have to dodge other kids or manage sharing space, so parents got to kick back a bit and enjoy the party too knowing that it was only our familiar group of friends. Parking is easy for guests, plenty of amazing fun areas for littles to explore, and lots of fresh air and light to keep the space feeling good. We look forward to returning for regular play hours, and happy to share this gem with all of our friends.
