Their schedule for activities is so much fun. Some days they are getting to enjoy the beautiful outdoor pool at the facility. Other days they go on a healthy walk along the Caughlin area with all of its beautiful landscaping, ponds to go get frozen yogurt. How cool is that? I'll be honest... Mom wants to stay and hang out too! Oh wait can't forget to mention that is is for the kids that are a tad younger like mine is. The bigger kids get to do the Adventure camp. They load up every morning and get to explore the great fun we can find in our area! The loft where the kids get to hang out when not doing outdoor activities is great. A nice reading area that can be lounged in while looking out the window. Various activity areas where they can enjoy sensory & art. Everything is tidy and clean. Which if you are like me that will be one of the first things I look for. You can't expect perfection in a room that's filled with children tearing it up but when you can see how much they keep up on everything THAT is a huge appeal. Hidden gem I wish I would have known about last Summer. Will 1000% be making sure to get my child back in for next Summer!

She was very thorough in explaining what the game is like, the rules, and cheering our teams on. The games were fun and funny, and sometimes built up a sweat. I thought they did a great job coming up with games using all five of our senses. This would be a great place for TEAM building or for friends and family. You can have a minimum of two people and maybe up to eight, so there would be four on each team. I think any more than that would be a hindrance. It's not that big of a deal, but try to have your group it be split into even numbers. I feel that some of the games work out in favor of those who have more in their group. I've done so many escape rooms that this was such a great change of pace!

Some of the most creative people in the world called the generator and we get to have all of this right here in our backyard. If you're not familiar, the generator is a maker space that house is numerous independent artists that create works of all shape sizes and mediums . It's also a community of artistic folks who come together to learn and enhance each other creativity and teach each other how to become better and more accomplished artists as well. The resource sharing in the space is magical and the work that comes out of it has put our community on the map in a major way. We are so fortunate to have This organization in our community and if you got to check it out, I urge you to hit their website, find an opportunity and get in there. Even if you don't know what you wanna do you can still just drop in and check it out and see everything that's going on so you can be inspired to dive in a little deeper. Back to the mini golf, though this is an annual event where teams come together to showcase their creativity and encourage others to just come and have a little fun interacting with it. The mini golf course has 18 holes a very themes, all tied back to the Halloween holiday my favorites this year had to be the massive Mount Rose Ski lift and Mountain, which was fully operational. I also loved the haunted house that was a full long walk-through or should I say put through and of course, the cow casino, or CowSino, complete with working slot machine that accepted Candy as coins and paid out a massive sugary jackpot when the bell tolled. The cost to attend is super affordable and it's a great outing for a date night family or just friends hanging out . The generator does a ton of other events throughout the year, so definitely hit their website scope out the calendar and get involved .

I personally have a small space at home that I use to create my greeting cards. But once a quarter the Generator opens its doors to members and non members to host a market night. The night before Valentine's Day I set up a small table to sell a few Valentine and birthday cards I had made. The staff were well organized and made it a pleasure to have a booth and check out other artists. They even had food trucks available for food and a drink booth for libations. Follow them on Facebook and check out their next market night.

As a walk in on a week day there were a couple groups of students touring and a few other walk ins, but for the most part it seemed like we had the place to ourselves. We spent a couple hours taking in as much as possible, from fully immersing ourselves in Ernesto Neto's Children of the Earth to exploring other works like one of my favorites, Ducks in a Row by Clare Rojas. We then enjoyed the bakery in the lower level, quickly admired the Bristlecone clock in the library before departing. There was a section under development that we were unable to explore and we did almost miss the Ernesto Neto exhibit as the entryway was right next to the blocked off area under development. As we were preparing to exit, my wife saw the small entryway next to a table where someone was stationed to block off the section under development. The person stationed there said nothing. Luckily her curiosity led us the exhibit, but we could've easily missed it.

This place has been amazing!…read more We have been coming to Jump n Shout pre-COVID for their Saturday bounce house days. It was cheap, fun, and a good way to get out a ton of energy! Recently, we signed up for 6 weeks of preschool tumbling. I'm so glad we did! My daughter's coach (I SWEAR I will update the review when I remember her name) has been so good with her. We came in with absolutely no gym/gymnastics/tumbling experience whatsoever and it has never been an issue! Her coach is patient yet persistent. She really works with the kiddos on form and technique while making sure they're still having a good time! She is always very honest and open about my daughter's progress and things to work on at home. The front desk staff is also awesome! I love that the parents get to be so close, even if we are in another room. Our kiddos can still see us just beyond the window. We got a deal online for 6 weeks of classes, but I'm sure we will keep coming here beyond those 6 weeks. It's such a good environment for kids of all ages!

We have recently left the Reno Elite cheer program at Jump N Shout. Our whole team (minus one) -…read morewhich was their special athletes' team left Reno Elite for another local cheer program. When four of your eight athletes' parents tell you that they are going to quit cheer unless they can find another gym, it's time to talk... It was after that that I personally started seeing the issues and then agreed to leave with the rest of them. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. There were a lot of issues with our particular team this last year (which was my son's third season with the team). Although our main coach was on maternity leave for most of the season, I do not personally see most of the issues being because of her. It was more to do with three other people (two of which usually have nothing to do with our team anyway). It seems to me that we were just buffered sufficiently when we had a head coach actively with our team. As for the cheer program as a whole, I still believe that they provide a good program. In particular to us: Coach Emily, Coach Lauryn, and Coach (Mr) Randy B were always supportive of my son and our family and I miss them. It is just that in many ways our team was left out of a lot all gym events, etc and we didn't have the support that we used to have especially when it came to fundraising. There were several issues around fundraising that I don't think all in the program knew about, so I don't hold all responsible. Suffice it to say that we did not have access to all of our funds we raised (not even credited to our tuition like we were told...), planning other events on our main fundraising date (said our first date was no longer available because of a competition going to be held there and then next thing you know they planned a similar event on our date instead, then had a big issue where we were not going to be able to set up for our big event until the actual time it was to begin (told less than a week before, but then it miraculously and thankfully was canceled... we think because someone realized that this was going too far with a team who was already really discouraged by the lack of support we were getting), and not helping advertise until a day or two ahead of time (even though I repeatedly asked maybe the wrong coach....) and then when it was sent out it had the wrong date. I believe that they have the potential to once again have a solid special athletes' team, but they need to address these issues. Like I said, though, I can still recommend them if you are not needing a special needs team. My suggestion is to check out at least this one and the other larger gym in town and see where you fit in the best.
