When we were there six years ago, it was Covid times so we had to be separated two different tables, but we still had fun. The bartender was fun. He actually turned us on to a root beer drink that we have made on many trips since. During our trip yesterday, the hostess wasn't very friendly as person on earth. The hostess was not there when we got there so we waited a few minutes and then thought we needed to venture into the restaurant a little further to find someone. She then greeted us by telling us we should've stayed at the hostess table to be sat. She then continue to make slight comments such as when you're ready I can actually see you and things such like that I don't normally write reviews where I have to add that some of the staff members were rude, but I do wanna note that. Our waitress , I believe her name was Rae, was fantastic. She was absolutely hilarious super friendly. And worked with all of our allergies make sure she noted it on all of our food orders. The food was delicious . The nachos were amazing. Two of my friends ordered drinks . The beer flight was cute. They came in little mason jar glasses with handles. Overall, I would recommend this place. I do plan to come back when I'm in the area.

The breakfast crew is also at the top of their game. Helpful and made sure there was plenty of food for guests. Housekeeping had the room clean as can be and if you needed something, it was at your door before you knew it. Whomever does the hiring needs to train the staff at Hotel Indigo in North Conway. NH. They could use the training.

I have stayed at dozens of Holiday Inn's and most of them see us roll up on bikes and say, "Hey, feel free to park under the canopy." Not here. Wasn't that impressed with the check in experience either so it tracks. Not sure if it's policy at this location or the manager just doesn't like bikes. We woke up to wet bikes since it was raining. Thanks! This location has a hot tub that we were really looking forward to but it was the dirtiest hot tub I've ever seen. There were brown crumbs or pieces of some sort in the bubbles on top of them...it looked like dirt, I have no idea what it is...I should have zoomed in and taken a photo, I could probably do that with an existing photo that I took from out further. We usually need a couple extra pillows and they wouldn't give us any of those either. So this really does make it the least accommodating Holiday Inn Express I've ever visited. Aside from those problems everything else was pretty typical. Room was clean. No real soaps or shampoos, just those bottles bolted to the shower and sink. Breakfast was typical. They actually had bacon which a lot of them only have sausages. I would stay here again but only if someone else better around the same price range wasn't available.

The food was awesome, where else can you find fast food haggis by the gallon? Something as simple as bread pudding made into something to die for by adding whisky sauce - OMG! Meat pies, bridies, sausage rolls, bangers, rumbledethumps, cock - leekie - soup, scotch broth, lamb stew, shepherd's pie, scotch eggs, shaved lamb on a roll, pasties. In yet another tent they had tons of seafood including scotch salmon, highland crab soup......but no finnan haddie or cullen skink - what's up with that???? Did I mention the whisky tasting? Didn't make it that far - too busy sampling the scotch ales! The games are spread out all over the place and you could easily spend a day (or two) here checking out all the clan booths, games, bands, singers, border collie contests, etc. You can even buy yourself a 100% legal title - a lordship or ladyship as you will by donating money to save the Scottish Highlands, well you actually purchase a few square feet of land and the titles come with it............Lord Fin of Glencoe, etc. Did I mention lasses in mini kilts?
