It makes me sad to think that we almost went to a different program before finding San Marco Family Childcare, but we are so happy we found them! They send videos/pictures throughout the day on their app of our children learning, playing, and having a great time which helps to put me at ease while I work knowing they are in great hands. They feed them nutritious snacks and meals, and provide structured daily activities of art, dance, imaginative play, etc. Ms. Karen keeps me updated on how my children are doing and is always easily accessible and great with communication! They were consistently well cared for, and we always felt confident leaving them in such a warm, attentive environment. It has a very homey, family-run feel, it doesn't feel corporate or overly institutional. The teachers are loving, supportive, and genuinely invested in each child's growth and development. I also appreciate the "old school" atmosphere: plenty of books, hands-on learning activities, and a great playground space. There are no electronics or constant digital updates, just kids engaged in learning, playing, and being kids. The daily routine is structured in a way that encourages independence, responsibility, and positive social interaction. We are very grateful for the experience our family had there and the strong foundation it gave our children.

My son enjoyed all of his teachers at this school. He had Miss B, Miss Melissa and Miss Delmy. After months of searching for Montessori school in the Concord area. We came to interview at Montessori School of Concord. I remember waiting inside of the classroom for the interview with Miss Delmy, a young girl went up to me and asked me if I would like a bottle of water. I was blown away by the interaction from the girl. I knew right there that I wanted my son to attend this school. When my son started at Montessori School of Concord, his first teach was Miss B. She was a great teacher for the toddler class. My son took a while to adjust. He was shy and always cried before going to school. But after 3 months, he finally got over his fear. During his first year he got promoted to Miss Melissa's class. He flourished in reading and writing. The patience Miss Melissa has for her students is amazing. I would not have any other person help guide my 3 year old son at the time. Once my son got promoted Miss Delmy's class, I really saw him add and subtract in math. As a 4 year old, he would read books and enjoy reading on their own. I cannot express how much Miss Delmy and her staff really cared for each student. Miss Delmy can command the classroom and have fun with them too. Unfortunately I had to pull my son out of Montessori School of Concord because we moved to Alameda. I would of loved to keep him there but the commute was too long. It was hard to see him leave behind the BEST group of educators that truly embraced the Montessori way! I wish we could of still lived closer so my son could of graduated from the school and learned from the best. I hope you reading this will find this helpful in choosing the Montessori School of Concord.

I had toured the school couple times, completed all required documents and paid $100 fee to make sure we would have a spot for 2023-2024 school year. Before the new school year started, I emailed the director, asked when to go to school, the director said one teacher left and they were trying to hire a new teacher, asked us to wait, no apology at all. After three weeks, I called the school again, they were still saying we have to wait until they got a new teacher, and they would call me back and enroll my kid. Now, a month and half passed, I never received a call or an email from them. I checked their website, guess what, they already hired a new teacher! But didn't tell us and enroll my kid! so I toured many other preschools and there are long waiting list to get in! I have to quit my job and stay home with my kid! They RUIN my whole schedule!! If they have a shortage of teachers, shouldn't they give a notice ahead of time? How can they just TELLING you right before the school starts! And they already hired a new teacher, why didn't enroll my kid cause he is not full time? OMG! So disgusting and disappointing!
