They are open earlier than most daycares and stay open later as well. providing diapers when the kids were little was such a huge help as well. When I was there I vividly remember the adults taking good care of all the children, I remember there being a lot of other kids there, whom I'd make friends with. I remember having so much fun, especially when the days were nice and sunny. The only few things I remember not being happy about were the fact that I didn't see my mom (normal as a child) and that one summer day when we had the sprinklers out I cut my foot on a tricycle, other than that, I only remember one lady who worked there who I thought didn't like me, can't tell you why I just remember thinking that every time I saw her. They always provided full meals and I enjoyed them a lot. This was honestly such a good place for me as a child, and I miss all the staff a lot. Anyway, just wanted to give a first-hand account of this place from someone who went there haha. I'm positive that everyone who went there when I did would say similar things as me.

My 3 yr old I didn't realize how much care and love her 2 yr old teacher put in until she commented one day that she didn't have to sit there rubbing her back for nap time and she was able to self soothe now. The teachers truly care that the kids feel cared for, safe and loved. The outdoor spaces are great and separated by age appropriate things and they do so many art projects as well. The staff are kind and understanding with parents when you call to check in if your child had a big feelings day and drop off was challenging. We love it there! They just seem to really keep him engaged and it's never a fight during drop off. When we found LPW we had to go on their waiting list but they were very prompt and communicative when a spot opened up in their Waddler classroom for him. I am amazed every week with the new curriculum presented to the children. The outdoor area is NAEYC certified and simply amazing. For some reason only the negative reviews are showing up here on the main page. I know most of those 13 other people, they are great people and all have children at the preschool. They should most certainly be relevant. On with my review.... Being a new parent was very intimidating for me. Had they been boys, I likely would have been the "men don't cry, rub some dirt on it and walk it off" type dad. I'm extremely thankful I had two girls as it made me toss that parenting plan out the window. Sadly, I didn't have a backup in place. Our first daughter was around 18 months old or so and our photographer (who had 2 kids at WFP and also has a "not currently recommended review) strongly suggested WFP. We had actually started the preschool hunt about the same time, so we went to the open house. The open house was good, didn't blow our socks off or anything. We still shopped around for other schools. Most of the "preschools" we tutored, were really just day care. 2 or three burnt out adults trying to wrangle a mass of toddlers who have 0 impulse control. A couple of the tours were just an eyeful of staff running around putting out fires (not literally) and trying to keep the place in one piece. No time for nurturing, one on one care, educating. Really, just mayhem. Which of course has it's purpose as well, developing those social skills is very important and what better environment to do that in than the Thunderdome. Our eldest was very shy around strangers and had extreme separation anxiety. WFP won out our hunt simply because we could be there with her to hold her hand whatever that little brain was going through... Since my review is already getting a bit wordy, I'll just say this last week (3 years later) my daughter gave a presentation from her journal in front of the entire class as though no one else was there. She is strong, confident, and extremely outgoing. She has made quite a few friends at the preschool and by the end of the weekend she is excited to get back at it. Our youngest is frequently jealous of our eldest because she only gets to go to preschool one day a week (ups to 3 days a week next year). She has also flourished at the preschool though she is about as opposite of her sister as one could be. So I say thanks to WFP. My parenting plan is to raise confident women with a depth of self worth whose bottom will never be found and I strongly believe that Beth, Cecile, Jodie, and the other parents of WFP have given my girls the foundation they will need to achieve those goals.

We enrolled our youngest (of three) at Rainbow after a very poor experience with a her former school and are beyond glad we did so. Rainbow does so many "things" correctly. 1. They say what they will do, and they do it. Plus so much more. Our daughter came home knowing the essentials: courtesy, kindness, respect, numbers, letters, and counting. Shockingly, she also came home at the end of the year able to read, how to recognize 20+ flags, and to recognize and communicate with a few ASL and German phrases. 2. She was loved and respected as an individual and a community member. The teachers love their students. They also show students love through boundaries and self responsibility -something that transferred to my kiddo's behavior at home. 3. Rainbow is the best "bang for your buck". My daughter is going into Kindergarten better prepared than her sisters who were in full day preschool/PreK programs that were 5 days/week. 4. They encourage and guide students but never force them to "do" academic work if a child is t ready both emotionally or cognitively. They encourage kids to play and try new activities. Only complaint: We wish we knew about Rainbow five years sooner for our other two kiddos.

Now they run to their classes and gree their friends, my oldest doesnt want to leave some days because he's having a great time. Overall, a great center. Cleanliness wise, I've never had a concern. They clean everyday and throughout the day and obviously sickness will happen but they stay on top of it by cleaning the toys and other areas that have a high touch frequency.

The Prek teachers DO NOT SUPERVISE THE CHILDREN WELL ENOUGH. The current teachers there were the teachers that were there with my son and at the end he complained of Ms. Reshu constantly yelling at him for not following directions but letting the children have so much alone time private areas are being involved between 5+ children. At that age it is less of a "preschool" than a fun, enriching activity for you to do with your baby. They have an amazing outdoor space where my son loved to play with trucks, roll balls down the ball ramp, and go down the slide. The indoor space has lots of experiences including water table, art, blocks, dramatic play and lots of great toys that rotate in and out each month. At BFCP my son had his first time drinking out of a cup and eating sitting in a real chair at a table! The parent ed component is kind of an educational support group, with new topics each week prepared by Teacher Jamie along with a lot of sharing of experiences and ideas. If your kid is comfortable playing on their own, you even get a break and a cup of coffee while other parents help keep an eye on the kids! We're really looking forward to being in the Toddlers class this year!
