So, obviously no review is going to stop 'em. Men, women, children, the whole family can find clothes here. It does, however, trend toward the family-friendly (kids running all over), a large section of kids clothes. As for colors (and keep in mind I came in May) the colors trended toward the light and dynamic colors. The Gap -- as it was in its infancy -- big on jeans. Also big on tees (again, I'm here on the borderline of summer). As for style, think the "fun, fashion, and value" and youthful style of another company The Gap bought out, Old Navy. Are the prices good? Well 40, 50, 75% off so there are pockets of pretty good prices (albeit marked down from insane retail MSRP). Not a lot that fit me, so I can't say it has much value to anyone not amongst the healthy heights or weights. In the end there's a lot for you out there ... just not much for me.

Capital City Antique Mall came up in my search (well there was another but they are closed on Tuesdays), and I was very pleased to find that they were in a large warehouse with plenty of vendors. That just means tons of cool stuff to scour through! And indeed there was plenty of artifacts and fun finds to take my time perusing! There were a few items that I wanted but couldn't purchase for the sake of space or other reasons, but they were absolutely beautiful. The photos I've shared below are only scratching the surface of the gamut of items that you can find at the antique mall. I ended up purchasing some small items to add to my shelf of collectibles at home, including my very first glass insulator. The staff are nice and everything is quite reasonably priced compared to CA antique stores. We will definitely be revisiting Capital City Antique Mall the next time we are in SLC!

First, they charge an admission fee. Everything is also very spread out among the gateway buildings and outside areas. Many more booths with clothing that was more flea and less vintagey. Hardly any really unique booths. A few of the older vendors you might recognize, but the vibe is just very different.

I don't think I have ever had a less than perfect trip to kid to kid. i mean, really, what is there to complain about? they have literally anything you could possiblly need for a brand new baby all the way till their teens. The staff has always been amazing to me. They all are very sweet, personable, and helpful! and lets not forget about the extra cash I usuallybwalk out with every time my toddler where's an outfit because hes growing like a weed and we are constantly left with clothes that have been worn once maybe twice, that are way too small. at kid to kid, I can take those clothes, get some extra cash or pretty much switch out too small of clothes for ones that fit with the amazing amount of store credit they offer instead of cash. prices are always affordable and fair. and any time my son finds a new toy that he wants, I can usually find it at kid to kid basically brand new for the fraction of the cost! I have, do and will continue to recommend kid to kid to anyone taking care of a little human or multiple little humans!!!! read more

I love kid to kid. I can never leave the store empty handed. Specially with growing kids I hate to pay full price on clothing knowing that they will grow out of them so quick. You can find really good things from shoes to clothing, toys and more. You will even find some things still with they're original tags. You find brand stuff for dirt cheep price. I want to be a…read morebaby and mention that I was into them long before it was cool, but admittedly, have ramped up my hobby, and am currently 100+ plants in, on the way to turning my entire house into a jungle. For the last few months, I have heard mention of Planted Earth Floral from various members of a plant group in which I participate. The "Floral" really throws you off, as I would assume they are a florist, rather than a mostly-antiques-with-a-side-of-houseplants-shop. When I heard they had some long sought String of Turtles in stock, I made the drive down to Orem. They are located right off State Street, in a beautiful Victorian brick house. The facade is cluttered with décor: signage, furniture, garden statues, and other large decorations. The interior arrangement of goods matches that, but it is in the charming way where you never quite know what you will discover. When I walked in, a gentleman was at the front desk looking at his phone. He looked at me, more than once, but without a smile or any sort of greeting. Thus, it felt awkward looking at the goodies in that immediate area (and there was a doozy of a jewelry collection). I wandered through the rest of the store noting lots of great stuff: Victorian fur coats (and plenty of other vintage clothing), candy colored depression glass, beautiful pottery, prints, and all the staples one would hope to find, but I was on a mission, and only gave it a cursory glance. Plants are housed in a little greenhouse, and it is not a particularly large area, but they have some real treasures! Many common plants, but plenty that feel more special, like the aforementioned String of Turtles, Prince of Orange and Birkin Philodendrons, several varieties of Alocasias (even trendy Black Velvet!), Calatheas, etc. Many sizes, in hanging and standard pots, macramé hangers, etc. I was very pleased, and tempted by many, but only have so much space, so forced myself to stick with the plant for which I visited. Prices are comparable to other area nurseries, and I think the same could be said for their antiques. When I paid for my purchase, the same gentleman who had been at the front when I arrived assisted me, and he was as nice as could be! He shared care tips for my baby, and told me about the little tree frog they have living in their terrarium. So don't be put off if your encounter initially feels unfriendly. So far, my SOT is living the good life in a terrarium I crafted at the store owner's recommendation, and he seems happy as can be. Planted Earth is an excellent option for a lesser-known nursery that just might surprise you with your wish list plant.
