I love supporting businesses like this! I've been a big fan of Kid to Kid for years, especially that famous pink door the little ones get to walk through. On this visit, I didn't find as many clothing options as I usually do, and the selection felt a bit smaller compared to other locations I've been to. It could be that everyone was looking for the same things I was! That said, the shoe selection was amazing, and I still managed to find some great treasures. This location has gone downhill over the last year, I used to love buying and selling here but recently they just take whatever it seems like and their store is overly packed with junk and literally filled to the ceiling to the point it's hard to shop. Quality over quantity would do them some good. their wait time for selling is at least an hour and a half every time I've tried recently so you're better off selling on marketplace yourself honestly. Not to mention the smell inside is so strange, like yes thrift stores have a certain scent but an air freshener would help. They've definitely been over pricing stuff as well. It used to be a lot more affordable, but asking $8 for a used Zara T-shirt with holes and stains as wild. read more

This is definitely a great place to find kid clothes for much cheaper but it's so crowded it's not worth it to bring your kid with you.

Love this kid to kid they are so kind and fast. So much available. New inventory is consistent and sales are always worth it.

It's a good place for second-hand items that are still really good quality. If you are wanting them to buy items; expect to wait. You need to stay while they review the items that you brought. I would suggest that they should add a few chairs for people who are waiting to get their items reviewed so people are less anxious/upset waiting so long. read more

I love being able to sell my kids clothes here and turn around and use store credit to buy what we need :). This location has gotten better at cuter styles and brands like Zara an H&M. I usually don't have to wait longer than an hour for my buy to be done (each day is different). my kids just don't wear things long enough to really use them so this is perfect for us. read more

Went in today for the first time after so many years hoping things had changed. Nope! As I opened the door to sell some items the woman immediately snaps that it's an hour wait (even tho the store was empty) and that if I leave they'll consider my items abandoned and donate what they don't want to keep. What is wrong with this location? Every other one I've been to is so nice and gracious to the people selling their items. It is after all how you stay in business. I didn't mind the wait, it's the rude attitude and snappiness that shocks me. read more

I really enjoyed this store and thought they had great things, I even bought some summer clothes for my daughter. However, when I got home, I realized that the clothes were laced in fragrance from (I'm assuming) the laundry detergent. It took me three washes, and two full days in the direct sunlight to get the majority of the smell out. Not only are parabens / fragrance harmful to children, my daughter is allergic to fragrances so until I can get the smell out, she can't wear anything I bought. PLEASE just wash the clothes in a fragrance free detergent and then it would be 5 stars. read more

They literally look for every opportunity to help you save money and find what you need, including in-store credit I never knew I had, texts about amazing sales, and pulling-out exactly what you need when asked. I love kid to kid. I can never leave the store empty handed. Specially with growing kids I hate to pay full price on clothing knowing that they will grow out of them so quick. You can find really good things from shoes to clothing, toys and more. You will even find some things still with they're original tags. You find brand stuff for dirt cheep price. Yeah this was pretty bad, I come here often to buy stuff and sale stuff and it's gotten worse over time. They attempt to have a system for sorting but I waited 2 hours in the store after they told me it would be about an hour and saw 3 other customers put ahead of me. Man I was annoyed I mentioned it to one of the ladies and she just completely ignored my comment and kept doing what she was doing. Here's the deal. This store might be amazing, but it's got 2 significant things going against it (as a buyer): 1) It's tiny. There are so many racks of merchandise and toys spilling out into the aisles that it's tricky to move around with my umbrella stroller. (I have kids, that's why I'm at Kid-to-Kid and I don't do free-range parenting, that's why my toddler was in an umbrella stroller.) So, there's that. If you go during a busy period (and today 1-2pm was busy with 8ish adults, 3 employees, and some kids [and my umbrella stroller]) things feel really cramped really fast. 2) It's overpriced. Hear me out. I know $23.99 is way cheaper for a Matilda Jane dress. It's a boutique item and the fabric still looked fantastic. But when I see $3.99 for a cracked graphic tee or a t-shirt that's faded with an Old Navy tag on it in size 3T...well, that's when I say "overpriced" in my Yelp review. The consignment system is tricky, I'm sure. The store has to get a cut while still paying the consignee. I've just seen brand new clearance clothes at Old Navy for $3.99, so I'm not as keen to pay that at a consignment store. So, as a consumer, I wasn't too impressed with the selection. I've sold a total of one time there. I wanted to see if it was more profitable to me than sitting in my driveway hoping my yard sale signs would point non-aggressive buyers who actually need little girls' clothes (it sounds creepy saying it like that..#momlife) to come and unload some gently used clothes from me for more than $.25 a bag. After about 35 minutes (which seemed longer under the cramped quarters) I left with almost $30 for about the same scavenging time I would have put into a yard sale inventory haul. So, minus set up, haggling (*shudder*), and the possibility of inclement weather, I'd say I made out about even if not a little ahead of my yard sale game. Bottom line: this is Utah. There are a lot of kids here. There is a wide range of kids' clothing options. Kid-to-Kid is one of them; I'm not entirely convinced it's one of the better ones. However, if you're looking to consign, I'd say it could be more profitable and easier than a yard sale. read more

I LOVE shopping here for my son! I have always been super weirded out by thrift stores, but decided to give this one a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was and how much great stuff you can find, at a fraction of the price. I bought my son ~$300 worth of clothes for $50! And all of it was is great condition. I also love that they have a little play room in the back that you can put your kids in and be able to shop peacefully. My son loves going there because he gets to play with all of the toys. Today was my first time ever to enter a kid to kid and I was shocked at what I experienced compared to what my sisters showed me their location in Idaho looked like. This location was very cluttered, and the bathroom was so dirty. Not just like toilet paper on the ground but the walls definitely look like they can use a fresh coat of paint and new storage solutions. It was also strange to me that at almost 9 months pregnant I was required to lay everything flat into a box and then they would sort it. Getting up and down is no easy feat but I guess that's how things are at Kid to Kid. I was also very shocked with the quality of shoes that was accepted. Tons of worn down soles, mud, etc but were being sold at about half the price they probably cost. Super strange to me. I did end up scoring a really great almost new baby carrier that I was thrilled about but some of those negative experiences did overshadow my feelings towards recommending at least this location. Ok, listen. I'm not typically a review writer but I literally downloaded yelp on my phone to write this review. Kid to kid has always been a hot mess, but This last Saturday was horrendous. I went there looking for shoes for my 14 month old. We went in with our friends, my husband and our kids. We walked in and it smelt like a human man pooped all over the clothes. It was disgusting. I was in desperate need to get my baby shoes so I braved the poo smell and walked over to the shoes. Our friends couldn't handle the smell so they left. I've NEVER seen so many piles of shoes and clothes thrown all over the store in my life. Piles and piles and piles of shoes on top of each other. Obviously way too much product to even shop. It sucks. I love this idea but this location is absolutely horrible. And most of the time staff is unpleasant. read more

This is THE WORST location I've ever been to. It was unorganized chaos. There were bins and buckets of stuff EVERYWHERE. The employees seemed miserable, don't greet you, or ask if you're even ready to checkout. I put my stuff back and left after waiting at checkout for 5 minutes. The best part? I brought some used toddler toys and clothing here, hoping to find winter boots for my son. They didn't offer anything for the clothes, but I chose to "donate" them. Whatever that means. I found some boots, paid the difference and asked what the return policy was. The employee stated, 7 days with receipt. Well they didn't fit my son and I brought them back. I asked for a partial refund on my credit card for the difference I paid out of pocket. It was then that I was officially informed they only give in store credit PERIOD. She showed me where the receipt states the policy. This would have been helpful to know, before paying and my money isn't mine anymore. She also said the credit can't be used at other Kid to Kid locations "different owners" Well, there you have it. This place is powered by the barter system and taking your hard earned money. The selling experience is great. They buy a lot and lay very fair for the items. However, when I went in this morning (feb 20) the employees were really mean. I had spent some time going through bins on the floor full of shoes. It never stated "do not touch" I would clean up whatever I pulled out. One was expressively so annoyed by me, the other was super passive aggressive towards me. It was awkward for me because I was there doing their job (cleaning it up) while they were full of attitude. I love to go here! We usually find a few cute things, often a lot!- and they are fast and helpful with taking and paying/crediting for my things. I like that they donate what they can't use; it saves me a trip to a donation center, and I LOVE how they donate money to great causes for children, such as Moving Mountains Autism Soccer Camp. They have a great selection of Beanie Boos and hairbows (new of course!) and we love to go there after haircuts next door. I've found everything from a Ralph Lauren tweed blazer for my son, to killer name brand yellow pants for my daughter (Persnickety)! read more

Definitely just like the other kid to kids... full of everything floor to ceiling. Looking on the bright side though, you have lots of options! Honestly though it smelled bad and I didn't get a chance to interact with any employee until I actually got to the register to check out.
