I'm not a sports fan at all but it was really cool to see the marching band and performances at halftime. They have the same school colors as my high school (orange & blue). Unorganized and lack of communication. Why does the administration not know their bookstore has…read morebeen closed for two weeks? It is not even the end of February yet! Oh, and good luck emailing the staff because you will be waiting weeks for an answer! It took them 8 months to inform me that the bookstore could not find the books I returned, no receipt, no confirmation, but instead of trying to investigate, the university decided to send me to collections two years later, even after I called the bookstore and agreeing that they made a mistake, but not official communication happened, so now I have to try to prove that they had the ISBNs from 2021. Terrible university!

Super fun! If you love to paint (and sip) and hang out by yourself or with friends, this place is…read moreamazing. The location is gorgeous, eclectic, and larger than May paint place I've been before. You are provided all of the natiwrals... just bring yourself and have fun. Something that wasn't a big deal for me, but was an issue for my mom, was the quantity of participants and how super-close together you sit during the class. It was PACKED the Saturday we went, so we were literally painting elbow to elbow. The two ladies sitting next to my mom and I asked to be moved to a back table off to the side because we were packed in. Although I was willing to deal with it, they complained and o e stated, "I don't want to hit this gal with my elbow for two hours". Due to the amount of people, the talking and lively conversations, and Christmas music okaying in the background (which I love), it was challenging to hear the lead instructor. Again, I managed and went kinda rouge, but my sweet mama was getting frustrated (and a little overwhelmed). Overall, it was a fun and energized experience, just being honest with regard to other factors so people know going in what it might look like or feel like. I'm going back for sure, even if I'm flying solo---I'm obsessed with painting chill time.

My daughter applied for FAFSA months before the semester began, but it kept getting returned three…read moreseparate times for a date-of-birth error that we had to call and fix each time. By the time her FAFSA finally processed just three days before classes we finally learned what her loans and scholarships would be, and it wasn't enough to afford attendance. We had already paid a $300 housing deposit to hold her spot (which we understood at the time was for housing, not enrollment). When we realized she couldn't afford to attend, we immediately unenrolled before classes even began. Despite that, OSU is now charging her a $250 "late withdrawal" fee and an additional $42 overnight stay fee that was added a month later. I've spoken to multiple departments and no one is willing to remove these charges -- even though the entire situation stemmed from FAFSA delays and financial hardship, not neglect or intent to misuse university resources. It's disheartening to see a large, well-funded university insisting on fining a student who simply couldn't afford to attend due to financial aid timing. This feels wrong and deeply unfair, and I hope OSU will reconsider how it handles cases like hers in the future. BUYER BEWARE they will tack on many fees.
