This was my first coming here and I wasnt sure what to expect. I didn't know if this would be an IHOP-replicated place or a diner...I would say its a little bit of both with a unique twist in their menu. Their menu is a mix of breakfast foods and Mexican food. Basically, you can either order waffles or an avocado quesadilla and they will both taste amazing. Their portions are pretty large and you definitely get a lot more than bargained for. This is a great place if you are in the mood for breakfast foods or something different. read more

I have been trying to eat here for over one year. The reason is they close at 3pm. So hard to get here by closing time. Today I succeed on my desire. This is a great menu and service is impeccable. I enjoyed my meal and my guest loved hers. I am hooked....love this place. read more

This is your basic home town breakfast joint (although they do lunch and I'm sure dinner) nothing bad yet but nothing special either. We'll continue to come back. The kids enjoy it read more

The place was not all too bad. It was pricey for the quality to be quite honest. Cork's seems nicer.

The breakfast we had was soo good, it's worth the drive. They give big portions and have a wide variety of dishes. We could not decide quickly. But ended up trying the pot roast skillet and the veggie eggs bene with ham! Loved both plates, can't wait to go back and try the chilaquiles. read more

So so good. Very good breakfast. I was impressed with the waffles and the fried porkchops! This is my spot when I'm in the I.E for breakfast or lunch. Keep up the good work. Please open a location in Los Angeles, I can guarantee success. We need this place in our city. read more

I was here on 02/08 and its a cute restaurant. The portions are huge, I'm a big guy and I couldn't finish it. We had 4 different people come by to check on us and see how we are doing, which was great customer service in my opinion. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because they had no music playing. There was a church group in the private room singing church songs which could be heard throughout the restaurant. The restaurant gives off a SoCal surfer style vibe from the decor and layout, may I recommend some Beach Boys or old classic rock music, and get a door on that private room. read more

This is my favorite place for breakfast. There are times when I've eaten here every day during the week. The food quality is exceptional, the servers great, and the quantity is more than enough for sharing. My wife and I frequently share a meal. The quality of the eggs, bacon and pancakes are unmatched. My favorite is pecan pancakes. The servers are prompt, friendly and courteous. Jeanette, Wendy, and Suzie are like friends. There is sometimes a short wait afer 9 AM during the weekend. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat. We used to come every Sunday to eat breakfast. Everything I have had here is good. The plates are huge so make sure you are sharing, or that you can take food home. You won't even be able to eat half. read more

This Place ROCKS! I am in the military and when I came home from Iraq on leave, I stayed with my folks in Rancho. I wanted to find a new breakfast spot and this was the first place that came up when I searched for breakfast in RC. All the reviews are right! The portions are huge, I could feed my Platoon with 2 or 3 Super Jacks! The service wsa great too, when I was there with my mom and sis, the waiter actually brought us some cupons he had found when he brought us our change! I was so impressed, I got take out for breakfast from here a few days later. Tried the Choc. Chip Pancakes that time, good, but a bit heavy on the ammount of Chips in the pancake. Still this place deserves 5 stars! read more

My Family and I been going here for as long as it has been here. The portions are large and everything is prepared excellently. The wait staff is friendly and very efficient. Autumn is my favorite. Kick Back Jacks is the name and quality service is there game. Leesie was my server and she displayed the utmost care which is very rare these days. The food was just average for me, but in all fairness, It was just my first time here. Giving it a 4 star based on excellent customer service. Very polite employees and professional. The portions you receive are a lot and worth the price. The taste however is something to be desired. Made me feel like I was an upscale Denny's with the bland taste. read more

On Memorial Day Monday we visited Kick Back Jack's for a late breakfast and it was great as always! We've been here at least half a dozen times. It is usually busy during lunch time on Sunday, when we normally come, but this time there was only 1 other party of 2 waiting ahead of us, and we sat down within 5 minutes of coming in. I had been craving waffles over the weekend, so we decided on Kick Back Jack's. Their menu is huge, it's just like cheesecake factory, with a spiral binding and tons of pages! This time I didn't even look through the whole thing, I went right to the waffle page, and went with the waffle and chicken crisps. I had this one time before, but I forgot how good it is! Their waffle is nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. The chicken served with it is 4 big breast strips that are hand battered in their own tempura/beer batter/pancake batter type concoction. It's hard to describe. It makes a nice crispy crust that is still somewhat airy like a beer batter, but it doesn't have the bubbles, but it is somewhat sweet and doughy on the inside next to the chicken, more like pancake consistency. Bottom line, it's delicious! The waffle with chicken is $10.50, which is a little pricey seeing as how it really is "waffle", one waffle, but they give you 4 big chicken strips, and I was stuffed after having finished it! They also have the creamiest buttermilk ranch for dipping the chicken in, I alternated between bites of chicken with waffle and syrup and bites of chicken dipped in ranch by itself! Whole hand lickin good! They have a waiting room off to the side, with free coffee, which comes in handy on Sunday, because this place gets packed! One Sunday at lunch time we waited almost 40 minutes for 4 to get in to eat. They have a huge selection, which is as much of a curse as a blessing, because it's that much harder to decide, it all sounds sooo good! The wait staff is friendly and helpful, and food generally comes out fast. *** btw - 50th Review! *** read more

I can't believe I'm admitting this to you all, but....I had the batter-dipped deep-fried bacon. And I think I'm going straight to hell for it. But I had, had, had to do it. We went here on Memorial Day and it was really busy but they were on top of it. Good service, good coffee, good batter-dipped deep-fried bacon. that's all I remember, the cholesterol has clogged my memory of that morning. This was our 2nd time here and didn't disappoint. (I hope my mother isn't reading this. She'd kill me if she knew I ordered batter-dipped deep-fried bacon.) Let's just all say that together, shall we? Batter Dipped Deep-Fried Bacon. God. read more

We tried this place based on all the good reviews and it was well worth trying! Kickback Jack's - Eggs Benedict delish..mmm - American Near Me - Rancho Cucamonga, California

As others have said, this place employees the friendliest waiters ever. We stopped by after attempting to fight a speeding ticket (we lost) but then stopped in at Kick Back Jack's for breakfast (a win). If you feel like something light, they have lighter fare menu on the front. But if you're a big breakfast man, the 2 egg carnitas breakfast will definitely fill you up. Besides carnitas and eggs, you get potatoes, tortillas, salsa, AND fresh pico de gallo. Definitely check it out if you're in the Rancho area. read more

I was here once because my girl had to return a few items to Ontario Plaza. Their pancake portions were huge, but the real icing was the syrup. Probably laced with cocaine, but man I could drink that stuff up and pour it over just about anything. I got the pork chop and they were disappointingly small for the price I paid. My girl ordered chicken and waffles and that was good. The service was good. Our waiter seemed overly TOO happy, but better to have enthusiasm than not. This is a real family/friends joint. It was quite apparent when some of the family members of a waitress stopped by and ate there. I would have to go here again to give you a better informed review. But my first experience was it was good, not great. read more

The vibe this place gives off is that of a dated retirement home in Florida. I love hidden gem diners that serve large, hearty breakfasts. (which I sorta feel like this place is trying to emulate) However, they really miss the mark. The food, while plentiful, is not flavorful by any means. I feel like they could do with shortening their menu down and focusing on bringing great flavor to a smaller set of dishes. Also an update on the decor or bringing some sense of a theme to the restaurant would help this place a lot. While the servers were nice, I just didn't love the food and atmosphere as much as some have said previously. Will not be returning. read more

Food here is terrible... I ordered a "pizza pancake" and the cheese had something that made my mouth dry afterwards. I first thought that maybe it's just cellulose but I've had it in other cheese and it didn't make my mouth dry. My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy and their gravy had old nacho cheese... Who puts that in gravy?!? Would give 0/5 stars if I could. read more

This place use to be good. But their customer service is horrible now, even with less tables due to Covid social distancing. Their food portions are still on the larger side, but they skim you on the meats and the actual ingredients you're looking forward to. And they cut back on the menu, including getting rid of their famous stuffed flap jacks. All of these issues while continuing to raise their prices, I'll stick to the competition from now on where they treat you better. read more

This place has done its very best to accommodate and comply with COVID regulations. The food is always great and service outstanding.

Not on the menu BUT OUTSTANDING! Open faced chili cheeseburger. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a chili cheeseburger and this giant was hard to handle so the next time I asked that it be served in a bowl with pickles and tomatoes on the side. It was a dream come true. If the server does not understand the order ask for LESYLE. She, besides being a great server, will help with order. You will be treated to a hamburger cooked to your liking and served with or without the bun for those watching carbs. Oh yea, the chili is the best in Rancho Cucamonga, and I've had many! read more

Food 4.5 Price 4 Service 3 The façade reminds me of a well known American breakfast chain, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if this use to be a Denny's. The layout and decor are almost identical and so are the epic portions. But that's where the similarities end. Wanted something sweet and savory so we shared the stuffed waffles and Bahama mama skillet between two people. The waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Cream cheese filling had the perfect creaminess ad tartness to balance out the sweetness. So good I forgot to take a picture before attacking it. After a couple bites of the waffle, I went on to the skillet. Had the eggs over easy and when we popped it, the yolk oozed over the sausages and potatoes spreading them with fifty shades of yellow. Sometimes when I write yelp reviews it feels like I'm writing a cheesy romance novel. And this dish was indeed cheesy, savory, and greasy. Last parting words, come hungry, leave satisfied! read more
