A co worker of mine was able to get an amazing group rate for 7 of us including myself on window…read moretint installation.... Three out of the seven were fine with the work, but complained that they were there allllll day and one into the evening waitingvfor them to finish their installation. I called them a head of time letting them know i was bringing my car down for mu scheduled appointment only to find out my appointment was pushed back to 3pm due to a remote start issue they were having... I brought my care in, called back to check on the status only to find out they werent able to get to it... I asked if they were going to be able to get to it that day and was told no... He suggested I bring my car back the next day which i replied that i didnt live in the area and wouldn't be able to and was told Id could bring it back in two weeks from the date i was there‍... Arrived at the shop to collect my car (BMW 328i) and was given a weak 'Sorry for the inconvenience' as i was walking out the door... Brought car back today... Still didnt have the grade of tint I wanted and basically had to go with the 35‍. I left the shop, but before i left, asked what time would my car be finished and was told 2:30. I went and grabbed some lunch. Arrived back at the shop, car was sitting out front... But where was the tint???? Walked inside and was told that allegedly they installed the tint, but had trouble with my back window(s) and how the windows automatically go down a quater of an inch when the doors open and scrunching up the tint so they took all the tint off and gave me a refund... Absolutely no customer service, these guys are clueless when it comes to: 1. Contacting customers to confirm appointment. 2. Contacting customers to inform them of unforeseen/ unavoidable delays. 3. Contacting customers to inform them of difficulties surrounding the service they are providing. 4. Thinking creatively and outside of the box to provide the service they agreed to. After leaving, i looked up the issue they said they were having and found a consistent resolution used by others to solve the problem in well under 15min. This whole experience annoyed me more than people who dont adhere to the 6 ft distancing rule while standing in a checkout line... Meaning... Avoid them like COVID... Absolute waste of my gas, travel and more importantly time!

This is the follow up I promised after meeting with the owner of Lairson's regarding the incident…read moreand review I wrote on 4/27/21. I met with the owner, first thing in the morning on 4/28/2001. I showed him the Lairson work order/invoice for the failed remote starter installation as well the invoice from the Ford dealer for their repair work. I spelled out in detail what happened that day and the results. I also made it known that, although I felt that I had nothing to show for it, I paid his bill anyway. In addition I also made it known I felt that his technicians had damaged the ignition system, caused the several electrical shorts and were responsible. Clearly he wasn't able to recall the details of that day and I wasn't really expecting him to know or recall everything that goes on in his shop, so allowing him to look into the matter was the fair and right thing to do. He said that he would call me before the end of the day and if there was fault on the part of his technicians, he would do the right thing. Sounded good. Around 4:30 pm not having heard anything I decided to stop by the shop. The owner said he spoke to the service manager at the Ford dealer who stated they had no opinion regarding the damages. The service manager said there were several shorts in the ignition system and repairs made to the wiring. In addition several lose electrical connections were found and were also fixed. The owner said that he spoke to his technicians. They were able to recall the incident in detail. The technicians said they did nothing wrong, did not damage the ignition system, and didn't cause any of the electrical shorts. I asked if he really expected a different answer from the technicians than that and if that was the extent of looking into it. He said he didn't need to know anymore than that. " If my guys say they didn't do it, then they didn't do it". Although the truck went into the Lairson shop fine and came out with a host of problems the Ford dealer had to fix, the owner of Lairson's claimed no responsibility . Beware.

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!…read more On 10/3/25, my husband paid Lee Wiles / Common Vision LLC $1,020 (plus a $281 tip) for axle and brake repair. Less than 24 hours later, the car broke down in a dangerous way. AAA confirmed the repair was unsafe and improperly done, and another certified mechanic verified this. The axle came out and nearly caused a serious accident. When I contacted him, instead of refunding the payment, he admitted in text messages that "the axle came out" but refused to return the money. He also tried to deflect responsibility by making inappropriate comments about race and insisted on "fixing" it again -- despite my clear statements that I no longer trusted him after such unsafe work. I have full documentation: receipt, CashApp payment, AAA confirmation, mechanic statement, and text messages from his phone. This needs to be on record to prevent him from scamming and endangering others. He is also not listed with the BBB as a registered business -- but I have filed a complaint so there will now be a record. If he scammed you too, REPORT HIM. Businesses that operate this way do not last. Add On: It's not harassment to ask for my money back after a repair failed in less than 24 hours and almost caused an accident. AAA confirmed the axle came out because of improper work, and a certified mechanic verified this. I provided proof: receipt, CashApp payment, and text messages where Mr. Wiles himself admitted "the axle came out." I made it very clear that I would not allow him to touch my car again after such an unsafe repair. At that point, the only responsible action was to issue a refund. Instead, he refused, deflected responsibility, and made inappropriate comments about race. This is not about being "nice" or "polite." It's about safety, integrity, and accountability. I stand by my review and documentation. Others deserve to know what happened so they can protect themselves. DO NOT TRUST HIM!!

RE: Common Vision. Lee is the kind of mechanic who is passionate about diagnosing car problems and…read morefinding solutions. I found him here on Yelp and hired him for a PPI to look at a 2003 Tiburon. A family member is an enthusiast for these old cars which they wanted to make into a "hot hatch". I met Lee at the dealer, which was a long drive to the dealer for both of us. And of course the car was in a back lot 3 or 4 rows deep. So while waiting for the dealer to find the car and bring it to the front, Lee noticed some teenagers who were there to look at a Civic SI. One of them was checking for rust by knocking his knuckles on the car body. Lee smiled at this and went over to chat with them and before you know it, he was reviewing the car with them, explaining how you really check for rust, opened the hood and began digging into how to tell if this Civic was running well or not. He looks underneath the car by getting on the ground and actually looking. I noticed all the other guys, both the dealer guys and the buyers, were hesitant to do this. I think they were intimidated because he obviously knew much more about engines than they did. I was impressed that Lee has the instincts of an educator. He really wants to not just evaluate the car but to teach others how to examine a car. Eventually the Tiburon appears and then Lee quickly went through his process. He focuses on the engine and doesn't move on from that until all issues are covered. In this case, he zeroed in immediately on the coolant system. It wasn't holding pressure. I watched as he carefully tested and retested and showed the dealer technician that the system was bad and that it was leaking. We had already been there for an hour and a half so it was decided that the dealer would pull a hose from another car ( the dealer was close to a salvage yard) and repair it and then Lee would return to test it again. In the end, even the dealer gave up on this car, he didn't complete any repair and we moved on. But I will have Lee examine any car we are considering. He is an excellent mechanic, fair and honest.
